Meanwhile, Here At The Asylum...

Well, Shit... I should be doing something productive but here I sit half dressed and Blogging instead.  *LOL*  Don't worry, I'm not half Naked sitting here Blogging. *Smiles and Winks*  Got my Jammie Pants still on, but did throw on a T-Shirt, so that perhaps before 8:00 a.m. I may be motivated enuf to finish getting Dressed?  *Smiles*  I had considered the Gym... consideration is now over... NOT going.  *Bwahahaha*  I do need to go to the Antique Mall, my Dentist and Doc's Office, so, I do have an Itinerary.  I don't have Appointments but need to supply evidence of my new Insurance Card for the proper HUMANA Plan Coverage I should have always had issued, as a Retired Military Family Member.  So, HUMANA is back in my Good Graces and won't be on Blast... for now.  *LOL and Winks*

What the Hell, at least as a Provider they're still accepting Coverage for Military Retirees as a Medicare Advantage Choice!  Shame on AETNA and United Healthcare for being discriminatory to us in select Areas they refuse to now provide coverage to Military Retirees, like Maricopa County and many Rural Areas too.  Over 600,000 of us lost coverage with them involuntary due to what they called "Strategic Cuts" across 34 States!!!   They discontinued about 90 Plans in about 109 Counties for UHC and 180,000 Members directly thru Plan Terminations like we had.  But are expected to lose 1.3 to 1.4 MILLION Members in 2026.  These are who are being dropped and you have to Hope and Pray somebody else picks your Ass up so you even have Coverage!?!  So, I am Grateful to HUMANA for Accepting and Covering us at least.  A Pox be upon UHC and AETNA. *Winks*

Especially since UHC Medicaid won't pay for necessary Dentistry my Grandchild requires.  I don't wanna wait 'til she has Dental Disease or a Serious Infection, WTF?!   She has Beautiful Straight Teeth right now but impacted Wisdom Teeth, that should be enuf reason, with her Pediatric Dentist and her Dental Surgeon both telling the Insurance Company this is a necessary and recommended Procedure.  Nobody at UHC is a fucking Dentist or a Doctor, so they shouldn't therefore be the ones making the determinations AGAINST Doctors Orders and Recommendations IMO.  What's the point of getting Medical and Dental Care by a Trained Professional if it will be overridden by an Insurance Desk Clerk at one of the Insurance Providers, I ask you... I'll wait.

Well, of coarse RFK, Jr. is in Charge of being the U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary and he's a 72 Year Old Worm Brain Roided Out Character who isn't a Doctor, thrives on Conspiracy Theories, and was a Heroin Junkie and snorted Cocaine off of Toilet Seats, so, what can I possibly say under that kind of directive and Poor Leadership choices for our overall National Healthcare?   Children are now Dying from Measles for the first time in over 50 Years on his Watch and under his Immunization Conspiracy Theorist rhetoric.   A lot of the Population is prone to misinformation and Conspiracy Theories to begin with, or just not very intelligent or fit to make important informed decisions on their own, or lack discernment and critical thinking, so they don't need validation of stupid and unwise decisions by the Secretary of U.S. Health and Human Services directly.

And now we've started another fucking War, there are gonna be more of our Military and Civilians at grave risk for catastrophic injury, permanent disability, medical needs or even Death.  So, we really do require a System that fucking works for us.   We can't expect the Civilian Sector of Philanthropic Souls to Sponsor them all like 3rd World Children and being Cared for by generous Donations or ordinary Donors that the Commercials drum up.  While the ones Cleaning Up and profiting with record breaking Profits, are the Insurance Providers, Big Pharma, Investors, and Politicians Grifting The Existing Systems that are NOT working for the rest of us.   It's all quite Transactional with this Regime, Elitist and greed based, it's not Serving the American People at all.  But the obscenely Wealthy are doing very well under it, they got a Racket of Criminal Enterprise going on and unchecked with no Guardrails now.

See what happens with my Stream of Consciousness when I wake up with not enuf Motivation to even finish getting Dressed?  *LOL*  I'm only half filled with the Joy of Jesus in my Heart and Soul, the rest goes very Dark now, since, I am a Realist and a Fatalistic Viewpoint is creeping in more daily now.  My once way of Being a Hopeless Optimist about everything is waning and eroding.  I used to be ridiculously Optimistic, I ain't gonna Lie, Pessimists used to actually annoy me.  I wasn't just a Glass Half Full kinda Gal, my Cup was running over, runneth over if you wanna get Spiritual about it.  *Winks*   No matter what kinda Shit was going on in Life, you couldn't get or bring me Down... and I do Wish I could have retained that Outlook and level of Optimism I used ta have, even some Guarded Optimism mustered would be Nice now.

It pretty much pumped the Brakes back in 2016... and I'm like Whoa, Landed my Balloon and thought, Fuck with a Capital F... America is in serious Trouble!   And when 2.0 happened, all Optimism exited the Building Stage Left... and went to, America is totally Fucked!!!  And, yeah, many felt I was being hyperbolic and didn't take me Seriously, some even mocked my Warnings, but everything I Warned them about has come to pass.  So even the Skeptics and Mockers now are admitting, ummm... you weren't Wrong.   I would have LIKED and preferred to have been Wrong, but, I wasn't.  I don't feel good nor great about that, just Right about it.  And I've been laying it out here in The Land Of Blog without any Inhibitions too.  Since I'm not known for being Inhibited, I'm quite Uninhibited unapologetically, always have been, but, know I'm not reaching the folks most needing to Hear it.

I'm not so arrogant or naive enuf to thinking I'm changing Hearts or Minds and it's not really my Calling to either.  Natural Selection will do it's Job pretty effectively, as it always does.  There are some folk I know damned well when Shit gets REAL Real, they're just not gonna make it, Cope or be able to Hang, let alone Survive.   I'm just keeping my Loved Ones adequately informed and I don't feel a particular responsibility to keep random folks as Informed.  But, here in the Blog Community I think we do a pretty good Job of keeping each other Informed and have more Transparency about Issues than most might express in Real Life openly?  That's my Take on it anyway.  Some of you have put out excellent Serious or even Humorous Posts about various relevant Topics.

I enjoy The Land Of Blog becoz of how Interesting the Bloggers and their Blogs are, it's a Wonderful Community, if only Real Life were as well behaved overall, Right?   LATER: Got all our errands done, my Check was a Mediocre one, but a Check nonetheless after operating expenses.  I know many Vendors aren't making any Money and some are losing Money, so I'm not complaining.  The Grandson came with us to some of the Ride, so I bought "In-N-Out" Burgers for he, I and Grandpa, I like their Burgers best, they don't put a lot of extra stuff on it and they are very inexpensive for a good Burger and their Staff are lightening fast no matter how busy, and it's always Crazy busy.   I desperately NEED this Repop Salvage Window now that I saw someone post it Online.  *LOL*

I fell down some Rabbit Holes Online featuring Weird Shit found at Chazzas whilst Goodwill Hunting.   And I Cribbed some of the Images, coz, well... hilarious.  And so True.  I almost can't do regular Retail Shopping anymore coz it's too boring compared to Chazza Trawling.  While I was an my Antique Mall I didn't intend to make any Purchase, but my Vendor Friend Michael, whose the Male equivalent of me, we could be Twins, always has something fabulous priced so low I can't resist.  Today it was a whole Old Photo Album chock full of turn of the Century Pixs of all Sizes and it worked out, with my Vendor Discount, to be only about 30 Cents apiece.  I can't resist Adopting me some Dead Relatives from way, way back, Victorian Era... so, yeah, hadda have it.

I've also Nostalgically been Looking Back at Fav Rooms of previous Properties I've Owned and got Just Right, before Selling the damned places.  Seems I'd get a Property finally exactly the way I wanted it and after all that hard Work and YEARS spent doing it, we'd fuckin' Sell.  *Le Sigh*  So, this slew of Images was my Meditation Room at the Villa McManse, on the 2nd Floor, one of the last Rooms I got finished and didn't get to enjoy all that long before we Sold the damned place.  This Property seems like it will never be finished before I'm so Old that even if I don't end up Nursing Home bound or something, or just Drop Dead, I'll be too Elderly to properly enjoy the Fruits of Years of the Labor put into it now?  Coz, you know, Tick-Tock.  That's my major Lamentation about the Sale of previous Homes, I had them FINALLY the way I mostly wanted them and could have kicked back and felt Done.

I was excited with each Move to have that Blank Canvas, I ain't gonna Lie, even tho' giving up each Home had it's Attachments, coz each was a nice piece of Property I really Loved the Structures of... not always the Location tho'.   Some Locations were great when you Bought and morphed into not as desirable over Time, it happens.  Others the Location was just not Ideal or the Community around it sucked.  And of coarse even in the Ideal Locations and Communities things Change, the only constant is Change, and so folks Move, Die, Sell, Buy... you don't have any Control over any of that even if you did meticulous Due Diligence and Wise Investing.  I've Loved every Property I've ever Owned tho', never bought a Property I wasn't Happy with the actual Home.  I've never 'Settled' when choosing what I Lived in, there was always something I really dug about each one.  Even if they were a Labor of Love, which, Historic Properties always are.

But, you see, I'm that Weirdo that would Buy and Live in a Ruin, a Seriously Benign Neglected Property like an Old Castle or something equally unconventional, tho' Run Down, and Funky.  Or an Old Caboose Railroad Car turned into a Home.   The only thing I could never, ever Live in and Buy is a Cookie Cutter Subdivision Hell Home that is mass produced and not at least Custom... OMG, they make me Gak and they're the dominant domicile these days.   I'd rather live in a Funky Shack someone built that is OOAK, or a Yurt... than a Stepford Wife Tract Home in an HOA dominated Subdivision Hell!!!   At least The Villa McManse was a Semi-Custom Luxury built Home, there were only about 11 of that Model built, and it had cost over a Million to build and I paid $375,000... so, Deal.

And the Santa Barbara Tuscan Architecture was Magnificent, tho' the Construction was Modern, so, rather shitty for a Million Dollar build.  Which is why the Custom Home Builder went Chapter 11 and got Sued in 2008... the whole Industry was doing a steep nosedive, especially the Custom Home and Luxury Home Markets.   And coupled with short cuts in Construction that folks initially paying over a Million were pissed about, the fact the Real Estate Market also crashed and they all were upside down and underwater in Value, plus had expensive Construction Issues... well... it wasn't a good Scene.   Those folks would never recover and when folks like us could then afford to Buy up the Homes for 1/3 or less of what they'd initially Cost... they knew they were doomed and it just was no longer an Asset or a good Investment they'd made.

And so they'd get on the HOA Board and torment/project their Anger at and upon Neighbors.  Which further wrecked the Reputation of the Community and Homes Values.  Once Word gets out that it's not a Nice place to Live, doesn't matter how Nice the Homes look.  Only very affluent folks like the Woman who Sold us that Home could afford to take the hit and just Sell it for whatever they could get out of it regardless of losing 2/3 of what they'd Paid for it.  Our Seller only visited that McManse, which was almost 5,000 sf of Luxury Home, as a 2nd Vacation Home!  That she only spent mebbe only 8-10 Days Annually at, so it was hardly lived in when we bought it and she visited there by herself with a little Dog from what Neighbors said.   No telling what her Primary Residence looked like and Cost, if that was her "little" Vacation Home in Arizona?  People with that kind of $$$ don't give a shit how much they Waste and Squander, plenty more where that came from... and a handy Write-Off for more Tax Evasion.

In fact, I'd Guestimate about half of the Luxury Homes in that Community were Owned by Rich folk who didn't Live there and only visited a few Days or a Couple Weeks a Year.  Even the bigger Homes that were over 7,000 sf and Three Stories were Vacay Homes of the very Affluent!!!  You'd see their Hired Help coming and going, some I never saw even once in the 5+ Years we lived there!!!   And most of the time the Homes were Vacant, but you couldn't really tell with a Luxury Home that Big, they all almost always seem deserted and Private.  And it's not like they talked or interacted with their Neighbors, very Un-Neighborly, HATED it. *LOL*   Shit, even when we had up to 9 folks living in ours there, you didn't even bump into each other very often!!!  *LMAO*

When my Friend lived with us for Six Months, she marveled how you could almost Imagine you were in it Alone, with ample Space, even with 8 other Occupants, half of which were Children/Teens!!!  *Smiles*  It was a ridiculous sized Home, to have Kept it, I'd of needed Staff eventually.  And, I'd of needed a Straight Jacket too, coz being so Rural and being around Pretentious Assholes you would never be Friends with, and a Naziesque HOA which was the Devil, would have eventually made me go Postal.  I've lived deep in Da Hood and felt more Alive and had better Neighbors, so it was just a Lovely Gilded Cage and I remember feeling Free when we flipped it and got out.   Friends and extended Family couldn't Believe we Sold it, but they couldn't Believe we Sold the Historic Property either, which was Paid for.  Or the Property before that, also Paid for.

I do Miss the Home, coz it Showcased my Stuff Beautifully and could have Multi-Generationally been Big enuf for Three Generations under One Roof without being cramped.  If it had been anywhere else, perhaps by itself out on Acreage with a nice View, I would have Kept it and just done Repairs on what the Builder didn't do Right.   Should this Property end up being the Forever Home we INTEND for it to be, I would like to build a Two Story Bunk House on the Back Acreage becoz of how many Generations are gonna hafta now all Live here, probably permanently.  Then everyone would have enuf Space and Honestly, I'd move to the Ground Level of the Bunk House and have it built Custom the way I'd want everything to be and more Manageable as we Aged Out.  I do Fantasize what I'd choose it to have construction of?

Ideally it would be a Red Old Brick Structure entirely with exposed Old Red Brick Walls on the Interior too.  I'd have a Black Cupboard Kitchen but with Countertops almost Identical to the Granite/Marble we have already here in the Main House, which I LOVE.  I'd have Old Hardwood put in as the Flooring.  The Lighting and Air Ducting and Electrical would be done in Vintage Industrial Style.  The Bathroom would have a Spa Tub or Old Clawfoot Tub and one of those Spa Showers... probably with Subway Tile on the Walls and Black N White Honeycomb Vintage Tile on the Floors.  The Sink in the Bathroom would be a Stone Sink with exposed Copper Plumbing.  The Kitchen Sink would be a Vintage Farmhouse Apron Cast Iron Porcelain Coated Sink.

I'd like an Industrial Style See Thru Window Fridge.  Only need One Bedroom, One Bathroom, Livingroom/Kitchen/Dining Area Loft Style Big Room with a Bank of Windows in Front by the Livingroom part of it.  Preferably Salvaged Warehouse or Industrial Historic Windows and Salvaged Stained Glass ones in Bedroom & Bathroom.   As you can clearly tell I've Envisioned, Thought and Daydreamed about it a lot and Voiced it... since... it activates the Manifestation of things to come and the Laws of Attraction IMO.   Everything I've ever really Wanted Badly enuf, has come to Pass and I don't Believe that many mere Coincidences just happen... the Universe has a way of sending your way whatever your Main Focus is upon, Good or Bad.   That's why I tell folks to be very Careful about what they bring into Being by what they Say out of their Mouths, especially about themselves and their own Destinies.  As a Person Thinks, so they ARE.

The Son is making a Pizza, I had bought a couple of Pizza Kits from "Sprouts" and it makes a really nice Pizza with the fresh Ingredients and Raw Dough.   It supplies the Cheese, Sauce, Pepperoni, but if you want other toppings you can use whatever you want and I only paid $3.50 for each Kit in the Deli Section, Bargain.   It easily Feeds about 4-5 People.  I'm gonna harvest some of my Fresh Oregano from the Front Porch to sprinkle on mine.  Below is his Pizza, turned out delicious and he put some Hot Honey Jalapenos on half of it.  He's going to a Comedy Show Tonight with some Friends, one of his Female Friends Won the Tickets on a Local Radio Show for Five People to attend.  I'm dropping him off at Julie's House and another Friend is carpooling everyone to the Show.  I've known all but one of the Friends since they were little Kids.

When I was at our Antique Mall it was fairly busy for a Friday Morning, my Showroom was messy, which meant a lot of folks had been in there pawing thru things.  Not bad if they're Buyers, annoying if they aren't and just mess up Merchandise with no intentions to Buy.  Some folks leave a wake of mess behind them where ever they go and a lot of it is intentional mess and vandalism, which is egregious.  When people look thru the T-Shirts for example, the messy ones yang them off Hangars and leave them all over the Floor.  I've never done that while Clothes Shopping in my entire Life.  It's not necessary, it's inconsiderate and it's rude and inappropriate to manhandle items you're not even purchasing.  So, it is a Pet Peeve of mine when someone mistreats items that belong to someone else, it's offensive.  I don't even mistreat items that belong to me!!!  And I'd never mistreat what belongs to someone else.

Some of what I brought in Today, I remember my Paternal Relatives making these Yarn Indian Dolls to Sell to Tourists, so they hold a Special place in my Memories.  My Grandmother probably made things like this to Feed and Raise her Children, which included my Dad, since she was a Widow with a large Family to Support and no Education, she'd been Married at about Age 13 and not all of her Children Survived to Adulthood.  My Dad lost Three Brothers in Childhood.  They had a very hard Life but were very Creative and Talented.  My Dad Created constantly and I grew up thinking there wasn't anything he couldn't make for us.  He made almost all of our Clothes, a lot of what we Played with, anything my Mom wanted for the Home but they couldn't afford to Buy.  She'd show him something and he'd make one.

He made her Bridesmaid's Dresses himself for their Wedding, since he'd spent all the Money on a Couture Wedding Dress from Paris for my Mom.  My Dad Paid for their Wedding since he knew my Mom's Family were still not Recovered from the War and they had a Special Needs Child, my Mom's Younger Sister, who was severely Handicapped.  My Dad was only an A1C in the Air Force, so it was Sacrificial for him to do all of that on his Salary, and he still sent Money Home to the Reservation all of his Adult Life, to help his extended Family there out.  Most Reservations are still quite impoverished.   And there wasn't anything he would not do for my Mom or her Family and us Kids.

I was Sad Today when I discovered the last remaining Craft Store that was carrying my Fav Line of Tim Holtz Supplies is closing the Line out.  Sure, I got it marked 50%-70% Off, but, now except for buying it Online, there's no local Paper Craft Stores carrying any of it.  The main reason wasn't it's popularity, it's madly popular, but, it was a Loss Prevention Issue to where more Suburban Housewives/Crafters were Stealing it than Buying it!!!   So they ruined it for those of us who were purchasing ours and being Honest Consumers.  The Fuckers.  Shoplifters cost all of us, not just the Businesses, but the Consumers too.  Prices increase when too much Theft happens, or Businesses close the higher Crime Rate Locations or have to go out of Business altogether.

I Scored the last of what they had that I wanted at the deep Discount, so, that was an unexpected Bonus, but, still Saddened me.  Of coarse a lot of Specialty Craft Stores are just struggling overall with the Economy and Tariffs coz most of their Merch is Imported, mainly from China.  And a lot of Manufacturers/Designers who are American, also get a lot of their Supplies abroad too, so Tariffs are also hurting American Manufacturing.  We Import a huge amount of our Foods as well, and most of our Migrant Farm Workers and Food Industry Workers in America are not Americans.  And I've had Business Owners tell me they can't even fill some Vacancies for Positions at Entry Level now coz nobody wants to do the Work if the Pay isn't sustainable to pay the Basics of Living.  So, I don't know what the Solution will be to keep Prices lower, but Wages higher to livable Standards?   And Honestly, a lot of Jobs don't Exist and are Advertised Ghost Jobs that aren't really Hiring.

Above was the Rustic Industrial Black Kitchen Rabbit Hole I fell down earlier when Imagining my Bunk House Kitchen.   *LOL*  In Pix No. 1, I could do without the Tile Backsplash and White Floor and cheap looking White Countertop.  But the rest of it would Track with my Vision.   In Pix No. 2, I could do without the Butcherblock Countertops and let's make the Cabinets just Black.  Love the Arched Industrial Window tho' and the Repurposed Wood Flooring.  Overall it was Perfection of a similar Vision.  In Pix No. 3, I had no Complaints, not even the Tile on that Floor, would be suitable alternative to Repurposed Wood.  Pix No. 4 was Perfection even tho' my Exposed Old Brick was missing, I almost didn't notice.  But, I'd like some on that Wall even if it wasn't all of it.  And, Oddly, I didn't mind the Butcherblock Counters with that look, but would swap out with the Right Granite.   Pix No. 5, Zero Complaints either.  Pix No. 6, I liked the layout of it and that Flooring, but would prefer just Old Red Brick, Granite Counters and Solid Black Cabinetry.  Pix No. 7,   No real Complaints either other than perhaps the Whiter Granite Countertop with Black and Gold Matrixing.  But, you get the gist now.   Daydreaming Done.  *Winks*
