Where to start?! So, we'll just start at the Beginning 'til we get to the End, then Stop. And Visually, with some Local Food Porn, why not? *winks* It's been an Eventful and Stressful Medical few Days, hasn't it? Friday was another full Day from Sunup to Sundown, dropped Princess T off at Work with her Note from the Urgent Care that she could return and then went straight to the Hospital since The Young Prince's Surgery was now Scheduled that Morning, around 10:00 a.m. they'd said. I didn't know if anyone else would be there, but I'd be. Nobody was Awake at Home yet so I went Alone. I didn't have it in me to Babysit The Man too, so I was glad he didn't wake up in time. Not having an entourage made it easier on me, I was Stressed and stretched thin enuf.
When I got there I met Two Surgeons becoz they'd erred on the side of Caution since he wasn't Presenting like a typical Appendicitis so each of them consulted the Other. The African Doctor I asked if I could call him Dr. Oji {his First Name}, coz Lord help me to pronounce Chuckwuemeka correctly... and he Laughed and said Dr. Oji is what everyone calls him. I liked him, he was very thorough and insisted a 2nd Opinion before a Surgery, which was good, we didn't want an unnecessary Surgery and the prospect of a Surgery is what was causing the Grandson's Anxiety, which Dr. Oji could see. Dr. Potter concurred, this wasn't presenting like an Appendicitis and he has a bunch of Tests run which Tested Positive for E. Coli, likely from that tainted Soup?? {Above and Below is NOT the Tainted Soup, it never got Photographed.}
Anyway, the E. Coli was Wicked and can last 5-10 Days, but can be treated with a series of Meds they prescribed, they cancelled the Surgery, which was a huge relief. They wanted to Observe him for another 24 Hours to ensure he could keep Foods in and down, since he still was quite Sick. He kept his Lunch down and he said the Hospital Food was fantastic, and, he was Anxious to go Home, so, they decided to let him. He was started to get very Schizophrenic so I thought it best to just go back and get him when his Mom called from the Hospital saying the Docs had said they could allow him to go Home earlier after he did well Eating. She had made it there to see him and stayed 'til I got there so he'd be Calmer.
The only hitch is they sent his Rx to a Wal-Mart Pharmacy which was 'nearby' they said, in Surprise, so I went to that one and as it turns out it was the Wrong one. It was one in Downtown Glendale a long ways away, nowhere near our Home and it was Friday Night Rush Hour by then. Rusty had picked Princess T up from Work for me. So, after I got the Young Prince dropped off at Home I had the Marathon Wal-Mart fiasco to find out which Wal-Mart actually had filled his Prescriptions? The Patient Advocate had dug deep and managed to locate the New Mexico Medicaid Information for Covering all of this, but, Wal-Mart doesn't take out of State Medicaid. *Le Sigh*
It was Hundreds of Dollars with no Rx Coverage and I told them I couldn't afford that but The Grandson is a Medicaid Recipient and clearly he can't afford it, so, what could they do for me to make it affordable? They used some Good RX Coupon shit and brought it way down to just under $90. No One Rx was all that expensive with the Discounts, but it was just 9 different Meds which made it that much, even Discounted considerably. Luckily my Pension from the DA's Office had just hit my Account so I could Pay for it. *Whew* But, now I was stuck in City Friday Night Rush Hour Traffic for Hours... Fun Times. I therefore didn't get Home until 7:30 p.m. and had been going since 6:45 a.m., an exhausting full Day, mostly spent at Hospitals and Pharmacies.
The Young Prince kept blowing up my Phone about his Meds, but with the runaround I got trying to locate them and then get them Discounted to where they were affordable, I told him it just took a LOT of Time. Then he said we needed Milk too... they'd drank all the Milk... Le Sigh... no way I had the Energy to go to a Grocery Store now too!!! So I just hit a QT Convenience Store and paid too much for a Quart of Whole Milk. *LOL, Eye Roll and a Bigger Sigh* Note to Self: Don't get Milk at a QT, they don't carry the Gallons, like Circle K Convenience Stores do, and, they don't price the Milk competitively either like Circle K's do. But, all Circle K's were on the Wrong side of the Street and Rush Hour was too busy, I'd of had to make 4 Right Turns to get back out and in the direction of where I was going!
Fun Times, but at least now it's over, he's Home, everyone has their Meds and Princess T's Meds were covered by her Medicaid, which is Arizona's so the Pharmacies take it. Allen did sent The Young Prince some Money to help with the expenses some, which was Sweet of him to. They're not Legally Divorced yet so I felt he should know what was going on and he appreciated that, they still Care about each other and he said his Family became very fond of The Young Prince, which, I Believe. They went out of their way and Bankrolled him being able to get back Home to Arizona with all of his Things. Driving all the way from Texas, to New Mexico, to Arizona, and then back again, which was a LOT and not Cheap. Allen is presently Moving too, back to Texas to be near Family. He Works in Texas anyway.
I did really also appreciate all my Blog "Family" Friends sending Prayers, Positive Vibes and genuine Concern during our Crisis, it meant a lot to us. I don't really have a big Network beyond immediate Family here to lean on during Crisis and Hard Times. I know a lot of folks, but, I keep our Personal Stuff pretty much just in our Private Orbit as it's all going on. I don't involve folks or put anyone on the spot to feel obligated and uncomfortable to get involved. Everyone has their own stuff going on, I know I got a full Dance Card so I rarely have the opportunity, Resources or Energy to Involve myself in anyone else's Issues of Life either, so, I understand how difficult it is to.
Believe it or not, as Crazy busy and hectic as this Day was, I was able to toss that Inventory into the Showroom hastily, which had been sitting in the Back Seat of my Truck for over Four Days now!!! So, it's in before the Weekend and Close of this Pay Period. *Whew* Can't Sell it sitting in piles at Home or in my Truck, can I? *LOL* It was earlier so not too busy yet and I ducked in and out without Management being able to ask for any Favors to fill-in on Shifts for anyone. I'd of had to decline anyway with everything Personal going on. I did tell my good Vendor Friend Deb what was going on, she and I are close enuf I do inform her of how things are REALLY going. Most other folks, if they casually ask how things are, I just say, "Living The Dream...", and Keep it Moving. I think we can all Agree most folks are on a Need To Know Basis and they don't NEED to Know if it's not Helpful for them to know.
You all in The Land of Blog know more about what's Really going on than I let on in the Real World most of the time, so, in Real Life, most folks don't know and don't Need to know. I'll tell you mostly why I've always kept it that way in Real Life. If you've got Troubles it generally makes folks feel uncomfortable and uneasy to even talk about any of it, let alone know what to say or what to do if you were to confide. So, I just don't, I don't Need to create Awkward Moments for everyday folks I am Nice to, but not all that Close to. My Inner Circle is deliberately tight and small for a reason... the Ride Or Die reliable folks in Life are few and far between in Reality. And, nothing sorts folks out quite like Trouble. Have some Trouble and notice whose conspicuous by their very Absence.
The Man is Cranky coz he had to spend most of the day by himself. So he's been fussy since I got Home. *Le Sigh and Eye Roll* The Son had a Job Interview with a previous Co-Worker whose starting up her own Business and wants him to work for her, so he couldn't stay all Day and watch his Dad. That prospect is looking more promising than working for larger Corporations that are screwing over their People. In fact, The Grandson told me that BCG is suing someone who neglected to pay him for some Trucking Jobs he did for them and they still Owe him for. Some of these very Wealthy folks don't pay their Subcontractors and manage to get away with it, Donnie Two Dolls made a Career out of not paying who he Owed Money to and Used. Not paying your Contractors and who you Hire is a Punk Move too many Elite and Big Business Owners with Deep Pockets practice to screw over the Little Guys. They can Tie things up in Court for Years. And not getting Paid for Work you did, and Honored your Commitment of, is a hardship.
I Tempted Fate by mentioning Work and they just called to ask me to Work Saturday Night {Tomorrow Night in Real Time}, for my Friend Gordon. I like Gordon and he isn't one to flake out, so probably isn't doing Well or something, he's an Older Guy and his Wife is a Cancer Survivor... I won't intrude and ask what's going on unless he volunteers to confide. But, usually I will fill-in for a Friend who really Needs to call off and isn't a Flake or a Slacker. Gordon is a good Worker and I enjoy Working Shifts with him when we have, I rarely have to fill-in for him and since they called so late, I'm assuming nobody was picking up the Shift for him on shorter notice? It's the last day of the Pay Period and will give me some Comped Space Rent, so, it's all Good and gets me away from Home for an Evening. *Winks*
The Kiddos can watch The Man for me in the Evenings and going to Work is usually less Work than being here Caregiving. *Winks* Especially since I got Two Recovering Grandkids on Strong Antibiotics for different ailments, and The Man with his Needs, so, Fun Times here at The Asylum. *LOL and Winks* You just do it One Day At A Time. And each Day is usually a New Adventure. *LOL* You have to watch The Man like a Hawk, this Morning I got distracted by the Kids while "Watching" him take his Meds/Injections and before I knew it, he'd taken the Wrong Injection... dammit! With all the running around I did again Today, Meals were definitely a challenge coz I just wasn't Home from Sunup to Sundown, so I only Ate Out once at "Tom Yum" Thai Restaurant, which was the only Positive thing of being sent to the Wrong Wal-Mart to pick up The Grandson's Prescriptions, coz the Restaurant is near that one in the same Parking Lot, making it a not so wasted trip there to Surprise. At least I got a good Lunch before heading all the way in to the Inner City to get his Rx from the Right Wal-Mart.
The usual Waitress at "Tom Yum" asked why I was Alone this Day? *Smiles* I don't usually Dine Alone there. And, I was so hungry by then, coz I'd missed both Breakfast and Lunch and only had been running on some Coffee, that I didn't even take anything Home, another Surprise to her that I ate it all. *Ha ha ha* It was only a Small Tom Kha Soup with Tofu, and some Veggie Eggrolls, but normally I'd bring some of the Eggrolls Home and not finish them. *Smiles* The Kids did make sure that The Man ate something in my absence and I'd made sure he took his Meds before I'd left that Morning. I did forget to feed the Cat his sloppy Food, so he's probably mad at me only having his Dry Kibbles all day? *Ruh Roh* It's the 2nd or 3rd Crazy hectic day in a row I was gone from Sunup to Sundown doing Medical shit for The G-Kid Force, so Eli had to rough it. *Smiles* The Days just blended since the Grands got so Sick really, I think it's going on 4 Days actually???
I was at Zero Tolerance for any of The Man's Dramatics, Man Drama is always intolerable to me anyway, particularly if I've been pressed above measure and beyond strength already. My Patience worn too thin and has never been a particular Virtue of mine anyway, to put up with any nonsense from anyone, for any reason. I know he felt Neglected, and I understand his concept of Time now is completely Gone, so my absence for so long for several Days definitely interrupted his Sacred Routine and Familiarity he must have now. It's disruptive to him and so he projects his inability to Cope with it, by mostly being Unlovely and Uncooperative when I do return... much like Eli the Cat actually when his Routine is broken, he's not a Happy Cat either. Ah, well, they'll both get over it when they settle back in their Usual Routine again. *Bwahahahahaha*
It's not as if I wanna Neglect either one of them, but I can only juggle so much at a time before something's gotta Give and it's been their Routine that had to take a Back Burner for the past 3-4 Days due to Family Crisis and serious Medical Emergencies. I did Call several times to remind The Man of what I was doing and Check In with him, suggesting little Chores he could do for me while I was handling all the Crisis. He had them mostly done when I returned, so had remembered to do them after I hung up. There wasn't a lot for him to do and it gave him a little bit of Purpose to be Helpful to the degree he's able to still be. It was well over 90 Degrees all Day and will remain so for the whole Weekend, Record Temperatures for February in all of Arizona and in over 100 Years in most Cases!!! I'm kinda worried if that portends a serious Spring and Summer Heatwave that is deadly?
For the past few Years we've had Cacti, even the Ancient Saguaro, exploding from the extreme Heat and Record Breaking Temps and length of Record Breaking Consecutive Days of it. Climate Change is Real and I know some of you in other parts of the Country are experiencing Record breaking Blizzards and Fires that are Apocalyptic too. I do worry with the Exodus of folks TO Arizona, will we run out of Water with the prolonged Heat Extremes and Drought with off and on Flooding? When it Floods the Waters aren't necessarily being stockpiled for when we have Droughts and our major Water Sources are getting low and drying out already. So expanding the Population to too many is a disaster waiting to happen. This is a Fragile Ecosystem in a Desert. And they're heating up the Desert and losing Natural Resources, with too much Development replacing the Natural Desert and Agricultural Land that used to be here.
Arizona used to grow a lot of Crops that were used locally and had a lot of Livestock that provided Meat, Eggs, Dairy too... those are all being displaced with Residential and Commercial expansion and Urban Sprawl. The Natural Pristine Desert is being gobbled up too fast and not Protected adequately either, putting a strain on the indigenous Creatures and Plants that are losing their Natural Habitats and Range. Even some State Trust Lands have been Sold Off to Greedy Developers recently. And the few Historic Holdouts already surrounded by Urban Sprawl, are being Lost in my Lifetime now. I see them succumbing One at a time now and rapidly so. Developers don't wanna leave a single one of them alone and apparently neither do City Planners, they see merely a Commodity and no regard for any Historical significance whatsoever. If it's not already Designated an entire Historic Neighborhood, it has NO Protections as a Single Property that Survived this long.
I did Score Two Navajo Ceremonial Vintage Pieces that I haven't Photographed yet and came from a New Vendor whose Booth is directly across from our Showroom. Usually they have nothing Interesting, but I saw this Spirit Stick and Dreamcatcher with Bobcat Skull and another Animal Skull, Beading, Feathers, other Talisman Objects on them, and the Price was very low, plus I got my 10% Discount on the Purchase and had a Store Credit built up too to use. I'll Photograph them, just haven't yet, so it will likely be in another Post when I do. It's always so Odd to me when a Vendor who usually has Crapola suddenly gets a scant few Primo items and then Sells those Cheaply... while their Crap is priced kinda high for how unappealing and not valuable it is. Go figure!!!
Yet, those Crap Hawkers tend to last the longest and the really Good Vendors who carry Primo Merch, Merchandise it well, have decent prices on it, can't make a go of it, I just don't understand why that is? It's illogical to me but I see that the Demographic of Shoppers across the board lately is more interested in Buying Crapola than in anything of Value, Quality, History, and not Mass Produced... I do. not. Get. it??? I'm Guessing their Homes look very Pedestrian, Boring, and Copy N Paste versions of Big Box Shop Merch mostly that is a Dime a Dozen and lacks any Personality or any Style that is Authentic or even Personal?
I got to Sleep In coz Princess T felt too Sick to go to Work and called in. They have her Letter from Urgent Care visit, and know she's now on a Med Regimen for 7 Days, so her 3 Days Off now should give her the rest and recuperation she may need to feel Well again. We still have to schedule her Wisdom Tooth removal Date but I'll wait to do that when she's feeling 100%. She wants to take a Vacation Day when she gets them out to have a couple regular days off after that day to recover from the oral Surgery. She's hoping that her Employer gives her that flexibility, we'll see. They once laid a long time Employee Friend of hers off for taking a day off to take her Dying Mother to a Cancer Appointment, so, you just never know. That Girl, Madison, was an exceptional Employee and well liked too, it was a loss to the Company and a Bad Look PR Wise.
Some Companies these days don't use logic and are too stringent with Policy that isn't beneficial to them or their Employees. It's why they have trouble retaining good people or attracting the right ones to come work for them. Even in our Government now, they want Sycophant Lackeys and Nepo Hires over Public Servant oriented Professionals who know what they're doing and Serve the People of our Country appropriately and competently. To me it poses a huge National Security risk that is being virtually ignored in that regards. In many Careers if the Hires don't know what they're doing, people can Die or the Country becomes vulnerable to our Adversaries and is weakened.
The Man was up bright and early, so I was left in Peace to Sleep In until almost 9:00 a.m. after I realized the Grandchild wasn't going in to Work and went back to Bed too. I'll be Working a Shift Tonight so that also helps me out in not having anyone to go pick up before I go in to Work. I may Price a bit more Inventory to take in to Work with me, I have a few Collectible Toys I want to get in there for the Weekend Shoppers. I Sold some expensive Pokemon Merch recently, even when Sales are Soft you can Sell that Pokemon Inventory, whatever it is!!! The Pokemon People are spending Money like there's lots of it and Money is no Object to them. *LOL* I think it's Retail Therapy to most of them since everything else is shitty and they're losing themselves in a Fantasy Obsession as Escapism. That's my Theory as to why someone will spend $800 on a New Box of Pokemon Cards anyway. *Winks*
No, it wasn't me that Sold that particular Pokemon outrageously priced piece of Inventory. I wouldn't even know where to Source New Pokemon Wholesale Produce to hawk, of that caliber and risk finding that Customer willing to spend that much on it, mine was some Vintage Pokemon. But, the Pokemon Specialty Vendors abound at both our Antique Mall locations and they're Cleaning Up. Every Shift about half the Sales I help Customers with are Pokemon related Merch being bought and they rarely change their Mind and waffle about purchasing what they've chosen, even if they're spending a fortune. You'd think one might have second thought when you've gone a bit Bananas with your Budget on any Collection, but these folks don't and many are Young Adults with Families!!!
When a Dad with a Grade School Aged Kid, a Toddler and Infant in tow is spending a Grand on his Pokemon Cards in one Spree, and the Wife seems quite supportive of the Obsession with what I consider to be a Toy/Game for Children... well... I have no Words. And that's typical and none of the folks don't looks particularly rich or like they're Trust Fund Babies. These are average Young Families and with the cost of Rents and the shitty Economy, I have to Believe it's Sacrificial for the Head of the Family to be spending that much on a Collection when he's got that many folks to Support and could be getting them something relevant or necessary instead. But, that's just me, I'd have Concerns if The Man was that indulgent as a Young Person with a Family to Support and making those kinds of financial decisions.
Listen, I'm Cynical coz I Debt Counseled Families for Years in my First Corporate Life. When they were in Financial Crisis and ready to lose their Homes and be Evicted, coz they couldn't make their Mortgage Payments or had to file for Bankruptcy. Many had Families impacted by bad Financial decisions or not being prepared for any Crisis that came up coz they had no financial buffers or Savings whatsoever, never Invested, lived pretty much hand to mouth even when they had the means to do better and just didn't. Far too many folks have a low Financial IQ even when they make good Money and are reckless spenders or deeply in Debt. Actually those who make the most tend to assume they don't have to be prudent with their finances and that shit can't happen to disrupt their Lifestyle that often is beyond their Control.
Bad things can happen to Good People all of the time. And indulgences, good times and your Passions are fine if you don't get too carried away with it, and anyone can. I have off and on, even tho' I know better, in weak moments, do I always do better? Not always, but, at least when you know better you will attempt to Dial yourself back and do better so you don't set yourself up for failure or financial ruin. And then you have the Elite, who The Systems in place actually Cover for when they fuck up and are reckless and spend unwisely. That's what I have a bigger problem with and has caused more than one Financial Crisis in this Country with Lending Institutions. I know coz I ran damage control behind some of those decisions of Bad Loans made to heavy hitters and those of influence who were corrupt. And did like Donnie Two Dolls has always done... spent other folk's Money unwisely and recklessly with no real consequences.
I remember the days of Charlie Keating in Arizona {1970's Real Estate Scandal... among other Scandals} coz I was a Corporate Executive who had to expose some of the Bad shit of that Era in the Banking Industry between the Good Ole' Boy or Mobbed Up Network of Corrupted Elite, to my Employers and say, here's your problem, do with it what you now will. Fixers can't always Fix the Problems their Employer have Created for themselves, and I always refused to be a part of anything illegal or immoral, but there were some who were hired to Fix and covered shit up, ask folks like Michael Cohen if it was worth it? I like to watch Michael now coz he was a smart Guy and a good Fixer who decided to stand on the Wrong Side of History and Paid a heavy price for what he covered up for Donnie Two Dolls. That's why when you Google his Name now he comes up as an "American FORMER Lawyer". He did Time for what the rest who Paid him to do it should have done Time for too.
I can FIND your Problem almost immediately, coz my OCD and ADHD kick in with a vengeance when I'm hot on the Trail of Problem Solving and being Solutions Oriented. But, I can't always Fix your Problem if the Solution would require breaking the Law, coz I wouldn't be your best Choice for that, it doesn't Line up with my set of solid Moral Values. So, you have to find that person who will risk Indictment with you. That's why I was glad to move from Banking to Criminal Law, coz the Banking Industry was making a lot of very Bad Decisions for how they structured Loans that would become Problems for fucking sure and were Predatory Lending to most average Borrowers. And also Dancing with and Financing some very Bad Actors who definitely would become Problematic. I didn't get Paid as much working for the DA's Office, coz we were responsible for holding the Bad Guys accountable. The Money is in Protecting the Accused from Prosecution. And that's what's Wrong with THAT System IMO too.
But I got a lot of Strong Opinions too. *Winks* And so I could be that Problematic Employee as well, who was good at what I did, but also very outspoken and didn't give a shit if you were told what you didn't wanna Hear, I'd say it anyway. Kinda like on this Blog... so, if you can't handle the Truth, better to not be in my Presence then. *Smiles* I never got any Exit Interviews upon Retirement, let us just say, coz they REALLY weren't prepared for whatever they knew I was gonna say on my way out. *Bwahahahaha* But I always took Pride in my Work, even if it was the unsavory Work in Corporate Life No. One of running the Bankruptcy, Foreclosure and Collections Departments, where your Contacts are gonna be with Customers in Crisis. Or Corporate Life No. Two of Quality Control, Audit and Criminal Trial Close-Outs of all Bureaus that flowed thru Superior Court from Homicide on down the spectrum of Criminal activities being Prosecuted. Those Files don't hold the Best of Society either, let us just say.
I once asked The Man why he sent in my Resume to the DA's Office after I'd Retired from Banking and think that Line of Work would be right up my Alley or level of Expertise? Becoz I wasn't even looking for a 2nd Career to Retire from actually when he did that and didn't even know he did that until they gave me the fucking Job, without even Interviewing me!!! *Bwahahaha* Yes, I was driving the Family a bit Crazy at Home coz I'd always Worked very demanding Careers and having me Obsessively Managing the Household exclusively was a Bit Much for all of them. *Winks and Cackles* He just felt I was like a Dog with a Bone when I'm onto something and have a Job to do for any Righteous Cause, so, they could probably really use someone who was Fearless about Breaking Balls and Rolling Heads to get any Job done Right no matter what or who stood in the way. Well, he could be Right. *Smiles*
He'd been an Undercover Narcotics Cop infiltrating Outlaw Biker Gangs in his brief Civilian Stint outside of the Military after Vietnam and getting out of the Marine Corps. as a Sniper and a Disabled Veteran. He's Crazy like that too, and quite the Adrenalin Junkie, so going back into other Branches of the Military and then accumulating 39 Years of Military Service and being Medically Retired wasn't so Surprising either. You can only get so many Purple Hearts and Bronze/Silver Stars and such, before they think perhaps you're acting like The fucking Terminator and might need to be Retired now. Once you get to 100% Disabled Status, it's TIME. Even if you'd keep going. And, that was him. He was like the Old Timex Watch Commercials, took a lickin' and kept on tickin'. And I was intrigued by that, being I'm just as Crazy, he'd say more Crazy... but... whatever... so, we were a Yin and Yang Duo, but a good Match. *Bwawhahahahahaha*
He still thinks I'm Fearlessly Crazy, and he's more Guardedly Crazy, coz he said some situations Frighten him that should Frighten me too and don't seem to phase me. He could be Right. I have a hard time feeling Fear and I don't know why. And our Genius Grandson tells his Grandpa it's due to my Type of Mental Health Condition which he feels could mean I had or have had a condition that impacts the Amygdala {the Brain's Fear Center}? I had to look all of that up myself coz it was over my Head, that Kid knows more stuff in his short Lifetime than I'd know in several Lifetimes. He's presently Teaching himself Latin so that he can then become a Linguist and speak as many different Languages as he can manage to in a Lifetime... it's his current Educational Experience Obsession of Teaching himself everything he can Learn and Store in his Brain. Yet, Schools claimed they couldn't reach or teach him, go figure. If you want to reach or teach someone, you have to Want to first tho'.
The Young Prince was very pragmatic about that assessment, at Age 15 when they no longer would take him in any Schools. Saying they couldn't reach or teach him only becoz they could only take him as far as they themselves could go, and some weren't all that Smart really. And many were so arrogant they felt threatened or angered by any Child who might be Smarter than they were and undermine their Adult Ego if asked the difficult Questions they couldn't Answer. So, they Labeled him the "Problem" when he had no Behavioral Issues and would just Sleep thru their Classes yet Ace all their Tests and it just pissed them off. To where they'd give him a Failing Grade and say he was too much of a Head Case to be around the other Students, so let's just Warehouse him somewhere they keep the Broken and Misfit Toys. He wasn't Wrong, that's exactly what they tried to do, we wouldn't have it.
Dr. Oji was very impressed with The Young Prince's intelligence and ability to understand specifics about his condition and the dilemma surrounding it. So they were kinda Geeking Out about it and I appreciated that Time Dr. Oji spent explaining their decision to him... and concurring the Surgery was not necessary, so, let's just not do it and focus on the Infection ravaging the Body and likely inflaming the Appendix. The Young Prince knows a good Deal about Medicine, the Drugs used in Medicine, I think he's been Teaching himself that shit too coz they were even discussing the Meds prescribed in great detail between them. Like he's my lil Doogie Howser. *Bwahahaha* If he wasn't Nuts, he could probably have gone on to have become a Doctor, a Scientist, a Lawyer, Nuclear Physicist, whatever. It's why he and Allen bonded, Allen's Autism is so profound he's extremely Intelligent in Savant ways that blow my Mind too. Other highly Intelligent People do notice that about them I have Observed.
I still think our Grandson is also on the Autism Spectrum and likely has undiagnosed Asperger's? Both he and Allen were at nutty as Elon Musk, yet, clearly Brilliant People, even if hard to get along with or follow the Train of Thoughts of. I keep telling both he and Allen to absorb all they can Learn about Finance and Money, then they might become Trillionaires too? *Bwahahahaha, hey, it could happen!* I'm sure Elon's Family thought him to be a really Odd Child too. Einstein's as well. Tesla was definitely thought to be Nuts. A lot of very Brilliant folks are usually quite Eccentric and Odd. Most Herd or Hive Mentality Folks are rather Fearful of Differences and those that don't Conform and dissent.
The Young Prince responded very well to his Meds and being Hospitalized, the Young do tend to bounce right back, unlike us Old Folks whose bouncing back days are pretty much behind us now. *LOL* He felt good enuf to go out with me Today, Rock Hunting and a bit of Environmental Cleanup since his Grandpa didn't feel Well enuf to. He's not been doing great lately, The Man, so when he Opts Out of his favorite activities I know he's really having a hard day but doesn't want to prevent me from doing what restores my Soul and my Calm. Being out in Nature helps me re-balance after a big Crisis or prolonged extreme Caregiving wipes me out. It was 90 degrees again and gorgeous out there by the River.
I also got my Free Ten Bucks from the Recycle Center for the amount I'd been bringing in and getting my Frequent Customer Card Stamped. Every 10th visit you get an additional Ten Dollars. I took The Grandson to "Appleby's" and we had the Appetizer Sampler. Since neither he or I are big Eaters we brought half of it Home with us, it was very good tho'. Had the Buffalo Boneless Hot Wings, Wonton Chicken Tacos, Fried Green Pickle Fries and Three Dips. We had a really good time mostly Rock Hounding for Wishing Stones and other unusual Stones for our Projects going on at Home. There were a lot of folks Fishing this day and I didn't know Tres Rios was having their Nature Festival or we would have attended it. Too late by the time we drove by and saw it at the Preserve's Main Parking Area.
Thanks everyone for your Concern during our Crisis... Dawn... The Bohemian

Whew -so glad the grandson did not need surgery. And thank heaven for the doctors who took the time to really explore the problem. What a s-show to pick up those prescriptions. I am so sorry for all the hassle for you.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is on the mend and you can have a much better weekend than the past week!
The Weekend is looking Promising and The G-Kid Force have Youth on their side so tend to bounce back quite well from Medical Issues, even Serious ones, which is a Blessing. Of coarse Youth is sometimes Wasted on the Young. *Winks* The Pharmacy fiasco was a huge hassle, but boy wasn't the Pharmacist at the Right Wal-Mart a HUNK... he looked very Young, very Handsome, McDreamy Pharmacists... why can't one of my Grandkids Score the likes of that I thought to myself as I Old Lady flirted with him to make him blush a little... he was so Nice and probably thinks all Old Ladies are harmless... he he he. *Winks and Smiles*
