As the Family are falling like Dominoes to various ailments and injuries, I'm attempting to remain up by Faith and know that it will Hold. So far, so good. I take Naps to make up for Sleep loss coz the Evenings are when everyone tends to feel worse and wake me up to tell me how much worse they all feel. Like at One in the Morning I can pull a Medical Miracle out of my Ass or something and me being Awake will somehow make them feel better?! *Eye Roll* I ain't gonna Lie, I just make shit up about what I tell them will mebbe Work, hand out some over the counter whatever I got at the Dollar Store, and try to go back to Bed. *LOL and Winks, shush, our Secret*
Listen, when you can't get them in to see a Medical Professional even when it's a fucking Emergency, a placebo is better than nothing and at least then they're not panic stricken, and losing their shit Emotionally too, which is never Helpful. I tell them whatever 99 Cent shit I just gave them to take or rubbed on them, is very Powerful, so we have to use it sparingly. And, tho' they're legit ill or in serious Pain that I can't actually alleviate in Reality, it takes the Edge Off for them usually. The Mind is a very Powerful Drug in and of itself, Miraculously so really. As a Person Thinks, so they are. That's Biblical. Proverbs 23:7. *Winks and look it up Scripturally* We tend to become what we dwell on. I mean the Bible uses Words like Thinketh, which I don't think I ever used, but Spellchecker says is still a legit Word, but you get the gist. *LOL*
So, right now I'm relying upon a 99 Cent Store CBD Pain Rub Roll-On and a 99 Cent Store Flu Nighttime Med for each Grandkid, to see them thru temporarily. Until I can find an Urgent Care that will see each of them, and get the Grandkid cooperation of when to take them there. If I could take them both at the same time it would be a nice Two-Fer and definitely a Time Saver, but a very lofty expectation that will actually happen. I Dream Big when I Dreams my Fantasies like that, what can I say? *LOL* He's more willing to just go than she is, coz he doesn't even have a Job to lose. And I could recruit The Son to dump one Kiddo off at a separate location with him assisting them, but then I'd have no Coverage here for The Man. Logistics Dawn, Logistics. Plus, neither Kid wants their Uncle, or even their Mother, they want ME. *Le Sigh*
They have a legit Point for wanting ME, I did Raise them. Oh, and they said they don't wanna be at some Urgent Care with either an Autistic Uncle or a Crazy Mom pretending to be the Responsible Adult, to a less Aged and yet also not Responsible Adult needing Care... trying to receive Care and be taken Seriously, Point taken. If the Facility even remotely suspects someone is also Mental, they could come in with a severed Limb they're holding, and they'd still wanna tell them to go to a Mental Health Facility instead and not take anything Physically an Emergency the least bit Seriously. I'm just telling you our Shared Experience with that Fact. I can Clean Up Well enuf to look like the Sane one in the Family and get them some level of Care if I Go Hard enuf on The System. *Winks* A shame it has to play out that way, but they in The System can choose to play you Soft or Hard and I React accordingly.
I'm also thinking The Young Prince might be cutting back on taking the full dose of his Psyche Meds to make them last longer since he can't get them renewed? In which case, he'll be going thru Med Withdrawals. When the Paramedics/Fire Dept. were here and he was telling them what Meds he's on for Psychiatric Needs, they're strong, they're not something you can just go off Cold Turkey for lack of Insurance either without adverse effects. Since DES can't or won't get him in to be considered for Health/Mental Health Services the only alternative I can think of is to take him in to a Psyche Hospital and press The System to push thru some Emergency Meds before things go completely Off The Rails with him not receiving them. He won't wanna do that, in case they Commit him, but... it may be the only way around this???
So, I will talk to him about that again as a backup Plan, if he remains this Sick he may just want Relief enuf to go and do that? He needs the Meds either way, even if he's not going thru Med Withdrawals that is causing this extreme reaction? He can't cut what he takes in half on his own just to stretch it out, coz he'll run out anyway in less than a Month either way. The Mental Health System in New Mexico has him on some strong Meds so they must have felt them to be necessary. They clearly have better Services in that State than here, but we gotta Work with what we have available here now. Of coarse Clovis is small and doesn't have the demand of a 5th largest Urban City in America either. Too many folks are flocking to Arizona and burdening this already overwhelmed and underfunded System. And this Punitive Vengeful Prez HATES our great Senator and Military/Astronaut REAL Patriot Mark Kelly we Voted in.
I'm buying more Mountain Spring Waters that the Dollar Store has in Arrowhead 6-pacs of it right now. I think The Man, and The G-Kid Force don't drink enuf Water and fluids so off and on they have dehydration issues. Princess T does a lot of hard Physical Labor at her Job in a Receiving Room, she's a tiny frail little Sprite so it's taking a toll. She really needs to find less physically demanding Work coz her Health is fragile, but Employment for Younger folks is just as difficult to find as for us Older folks right now. And AI isn't gonna Help matters, they predict 20% of all Jobs might be replaced by AI Technology, I don't know how America plans to address that? That's a lot of Unemployed Americans who will need/require Re-Training for something to remain Employable!
Our Arizona Attorney General, Chris Mayes, is on this Regime's shit list of the Revenge and Retribution Tour against effective State Advocates for Justice too. She's co-leading Legal Challenges over Childhood Vaccines and such. She's not a Fan of the Nepo Hires of incompetent and unqualified people who this Prez installed in very high positions of Government like RFK, Jr. and Kash Patel. The latter Partying all over the place on Taxpayer funded Government Private Jets for his own Personal matters that are not FBI related. Career qualified experienced Public Servants are either getting Fired or Resigning at an alarming rate still, mostly becoz they refuse to do anything illegal or immoral for this Administration expecting them to and ordering them to. The Career Military is facing a similar dilemma.
What a Clown Show this whole Administration is and so Corrupt they only want other equally Corrupt folks working for them at all levels of our Government now. And things are falling apart rapidly, it's not sustainable and the bottom will fall out if it's allowed to continue. I'm awaiting the Bottoming Out of America, coz I don't foresee whose gonna DO something about any of it stepping up and stepping in as viable replacements. But, no more Political Ranting right now, I've got fucking NCIS Reruns as my backdrop as I Blog this Morning coz I got a Sick Grandson on the Sectional moaning dramatically, so, The Man doesn't wanna be out there trying to watch his Shows. *Eye Roll* I had intended to go to The Gym for my Morning Workout, but I'm expecting a Call to pick Princess T up when she can't get thru her Shift... so, no Point not being able to be contacted.
Trying to get my shit done around Sick Children is a logistical challenge. The Son and I went to the "Dollar Tree" to get our 6-Pacs of more of the Arrowhead Spring Waters for $1.25. Tho' they were still at that price, damned near everything else now has gone up 25% to $1.50 now in the
Dollar Stores. Some had after the Pandemic gone up to $1.25 from 99 Cents before, but now it's exponentially going up by 25%-100% just about regularly and everywhere now. That's a hefty increase hitting Consumers Wallets, even from the Bargain Stores they have had to rely on to stretch already tight Budgets not getting them thru the Month or Paycheck to Paycheck. The Breaking Point has come for a lot of folks already Economically. I feel Sorry in my Heart for those who don't have Options or Backup Plans for Essentials.
Okay, I just spent the past 14 Hours at Urgent Care with back to back Grandkid Medical Emergencies. Before 9:00 a.m. Princess T's call from Work came to come get her and take her to Urgent Care. I had Called it and she did have a UTI so she's on Four Meds now for it. I was actually glad it wasn't a Back Injury, a UTI is easier to clear up usually than injuring your Back. So, that was about 3.5 Hours for her and a Quick Turnaround to drop her off, pick up her Brother, and take him to the same Urgent Care coz he was doing much worse. Turns out he needs Emergency Surgery, they ran a bunch of Tests there and we had to wait most of the Day for an Opening at a Hospital and a Surgeon who can perform the Surgery. So, by 9:00 p.m. Tonight they were finally transporting him to a Westside Hospital I didn't even know existed!!!
He was Freaking Out Mentally knowing he had to have an Emergency Surgery, and that likely, it may not have been any Food Allergy after all, it might have been this all along, we just don't know? They were vague with me saying it COULD BE his Appendix, but, that didn't even sound conclusive to me gauging by the types of Tests they were running. Since he is SMI I did convince them to give him a Valium to Calm him down so he wasn't going completely Mental and we could deal with the Health Issue without a total Trigger on the Schizophrenia. They obliged and got it into him right away, along with some sedative by IV, so he was feeling Calm before they loaded him onto the Ambulance. *Whew* I was notifying his Parents, no response until just now by his Mom, nothing from his Dad yet.
He was upset that his Parents didn't contact me back right away, but, it is what it just is with them, they didn't Raise him, we did, so, we're there for him during Crisis. Whether they are or not I can't control. I did tell his Mom not to say she's coming to the Hospital to him if she does not, I'd rather she just show up... his Dad too... so there's no Promises with Letdowns. He's Scared, the thought of having any Body Parts removed makes him really Paranoid in a way I can't explain. He kept thinking he will Feel that it's Missing, whatever they take out of him. You can't use Reason or Rationalize a Mental Episode, so I didn't even try to. I just told the Nurse to get a Valium/Sedative ASAP coz this wasn't a Ledge I could talk him down from. She agreed and they didn't hesitate to administer something to Calm him down. He was Calm being loaded up and Smiling... whew... dodged that Bullet of him flipping out completely!
The Hospital they sent him to I'd never have known was there, it's tucked away and a beautiful Hospital, I was very impressed. Surgeries are Schedule after 6:00 a.m. so I'll head there first thing in the Morning again after I get her to Work, if she even feels like she can go in yet? He wanted to to spend the Night but if I did, after 10:00 p.m. you can't leave until after 7:00 a.m. the next Morning and I have to get his Sister to Work before 7:00 a.m.. He understood, but is Scared. He Teared Up and that choked me up but I was able to Promise him I'd just get a good Night's Sleep, he should to, and I'll be there first thing in the Morning before he goes into Surgery. His Mom and his Dad never did show up, I don't know if they will Tomorrow or not? But, I'll be there and might bring Grandpa too.
He's not sure if Allen's Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance from New Mexico will cover anything in Arizona? They couldn't bring anything up on their Systems showing coverage so he may have to ask a Patient Advocate if he can Qualify for AHCCCS and get them to push it thru? He's not gonna have any ability to Pay otherwise and we already know what's been done so far is in the Thousands... not counting a Surgery, Follow-Up or any Medications prescribed and Post-Surgical Care. At least he's in the best Hospital and Hands he can't afford. I just can't worry about that or get him Anxious about that right now. They must have considered this potentially Life Threatening to have transported him by Ambulance to one of their Hospitals from their Urgent Care immediately and line up a Surgeon.
I know they're Grown now, but they're still my Grandbabies and I see their vulnerability when they're Scared and Need the Emotional Support. Above was The Young Prince when he was a Tween and tho' he's a Man now, the Fear he was experiencing just made me remember when he was a Little Boy and Needed me to tell him everything was gonna be alright and have him Believe that and that we'd be there for him, without fail. BCG had called off and on all day to ask if he was okay, even Allen Called, so it just hurt him that neither of his Parents did and none of his Friends. Nothing sorts people out quite like Trouble tho', and that's just how it is unfortunately. Sometimes it's a Surprise who comes thru for you that you didn't/don't expect... and those you did think would, don't always.
