It is with a very heavy Heart I'm adding this to the Post that I just found out that Dear Blog Friend Shirley, of BOOTS & BRAIDS Blog, has lost her Daughter, one of her Twins {Affectionately Known on Shirley Blog as Twin 1}, quite suddenly. TMZ covered it and that Link is on Shirley's Blog. Shirley is taking a break from Blogging to Process this terrible and unexpected Loss and Grieve. Her Daughter has Won Awards for the Work she did in the Street Ministry she Founded in Los Angeles "Beauty2the Streetz" to serve the Homeless and most vulnerable in her Community.
Well I'm out of plagiarized Clever Post Title Hook Names now, I went phishing for some but came up empty, none grabbed me. Mebbe something will turn up before I finish this Post? Mebbe not? I've been binge watching "Antiques Roadshow" American version... and some British Celebrity Pickin' Show called "Celebrities Antiques Road Trip", where Two opposing Teams go Pick some Antiques and Collectibles with the same amount of Cash to Buy, take it to Auction, and see who does best? They're absolutely terrible at it on every Episode I've watched! Most of the time they Paid more than they Sell it all for at Auction! Europe is rife with The Good Stuff they should do well with, so it's a good thing these folks don't do this for Real! They Suck at it. *LOL*
I mostly watch it to see the English Countryside again, been so long since we lived there, the early 1970's. It strikes me how little Traffic is still on the Roads there compared to almost anywhere in America. Even tho' Great Britain is so small by comparison, you just never did see a lot of Traffic. And listening to the different Accents of the British Participants on the Show, so many of them have the uber Posh Accents of the Well Off Brits. *LOL* But, on one Episode they had a big and rough fella who sounded like an Irish Gypsy and was the only one who really knew what he was doing. He had a Good Eye, was a Primo Negotiator with the Sellers, and made his Money on the Buy, so he did very well at Auction. Often the Victors on the Show are just the ones with the least Loss. *LOL*
So, I can't be falling off Trucks anymore coz I hurt for too long. *LOL* I'm still sore and my Right Shoulder, that I injured during a COVID Pandemic Era Fall, seems to have re-injured from this Fall, coz it's hurting like it did back then. But, I'm trying not to be a Big Baby about being Sore, coz getting on a Bumper of a Moving Truck that was stuck, is just a Stupid thing to do at my Age. What WAS I thinking?! *Eye Roll* It did what we Needed for it to do having my extra 200 lbs. back there to get the traction Needed, but it was still quite Foolish, wasn't it? The whole thing was coz my Gut instinct when the Guy asked for our Help was, this is a Bad Idea, when I saw where he was Stuck. Like I said before, it's not a place I would have ever dared to drive, but Young Men and those not familiar with the area, seem to think it's a Good Idea all the time!

But, the only thing worse than One Bad Idea, is Two Bad Ideas. *Ha ha ha* Note to Self: No more standing on the Tailgate Bumper of a moving Vehicle, Dawn!!!! *Bwahahahahaha* Was that a subliminally subconscious Suicide Attempt I was asked by the Adult Children? *LMAOROTF* "And who would have driven Dad Home if you'd of Died out there Mom?" Okay, Okay, Point taken, he can't Drive anymore or remember how to get Home... I'll be more Careful and Mindful. As Princess T tells her Mom and Uncle all the time, "You can't let Gramma go out with someone Unsupervised anymore, she does Crazy stuff all the time! The last time she and my Brother went to a Mall Together, he spontaneously got his Lips Pierced Four Times and she got her Nose Pierced!!! And I told them then, you Guys need Supervision!!!" *Winks and LMAOROTF, she could be Right??!*
But this coming from a Girl who has HER Nose Pieced, her Bellybutton Pierced, her Ears Pierced, and once Pierced an Eyebrow too before thinking the Eyebrow was actually a Bad Idea and had to let it Heal over! And let Gay Timmy, whose NOT a Tattoo Artist, give her the First Tattoo, with Homemade Instruments, that I didn't even know she had!!! So... how come it's only Crazy when Gramma does it? *Winks and Laughs* And The Daughter once Pierced her own Tongue and Bellybutton when she was 15 and got numerous Illegal Tattoos as a Minor without Adult Authorization!!! The Son is the only one really that can attest to not being Pierced or Tatted Up by Friends. Since, I can't say that and neither can The Young Prince, each of us getting our Tattoos by Friends and Illegally as well. *LOL* Okay, so mebbe I DO Need Supervision???!!! Or Thoughts & Prayers, Thoughts & Prayers. *Bwahahahahahaha and Winks*
Dont'cha just Love the "Thoughts & Prayers" peeps, who never actually get Involved enuf to actually DO something like being the Hands and Feet of Jesus to those Needing Help and Assistance from a Real and Actively Legit Christian actually DOING The Lord's Work? But they'll apparently have Thoughts and do a speedy little Prayer for ya, as if that's gonna be "More than Enough" for the Crisis at Hand you're going thru! So NOT fucking Comforting nor Helpful to whose Needing actual Assistance Right Now!!! Listen my peeps, I'm a devoutly Spiritual individual, I Honestly am, and I do fervently Pray and do Believe in the Power of Prayer. I'm not Discounting Prayer at all. Or making Light of Prayer and it's effectiveness to a Believer.
But, I find the whole trite and often phony "Thoughts & Prayers" Line to be quite overused by far too many as a rather disingenuous cop-out for actually Helping anyone while they Wait on The Lord to do HIS Part in the Situation at Hand. You're Supposed to BE "The Church" and not expect God to DO everything FOR what YOU could and should be Doing FOR His People yourself! NOT JUST a fucking Thought... oh, and MEBBE a Quick little Prayer. Becoz I do sometimes Wonder how long the "Thoughts & Prayers" Offering peeps actually spend in fervent Prayer for that Situation after they throw out the Line, often with the little Praying Hands or Angel Emoji? I'll wait... for their Answer... how long on your Knees in Intense Fervent Prayer for that Situation and that Person did you ACTUALLY spend after you glibly responded to their Crisis with a "Thoughts & Prayers" Line? To Look Good and Appear Holy for yourself responding when they Needed actual Help you weren't actually giving and had no Intention to either???
I found it quite Interesting and perhaps Telling that during a fairly recent Crisis that Needed immediate response by the Public, it was Noted that The Church of Satan Donated more to Help than any Christian Church did!!! Just think about that for a moment, The Church of SATAN was Doing more for a Crisis than any Christian Church was... just, WOW... fucking WOW!!! I guess The Lord does Work in Mysterious ways, huh? *Eye Roll* I had to Wonder, how did my God view such a Testimony when His peeps of His Churches {or those alleging to be all about His Business and Representation} were doing Less than Satan Worshippers were in getting Involved for People in Need? I dunno, perhaps NOT Pleased or perhaps making an apparent Statement that things and People in particular, aren't always what they seem to Be and are Posing as?
Or that He can Use anyone, they just have to be willing Instruments? I don't pretend to unravel the Mysteries of the Universe, I'm not that arrogant and I don't have it all figured out Spiritually either. But I must say in my Life, I've had more Bad Actors and Secular Non-Religious or Atheists come to my Aide in a Crisis, than anyone professing to be so "Religious", "Churchy" and "Holy", just sayin'. And that's not a Good Look for Organized Religion. Tho' there are many Faith Based Operations that ARE doing The Lords Work for Real, and I know this too and have done Faith Based Work alongside them for Communities. But they're usually doing it more on the Down Low and get Involved, they are in the Trenches. And don't usually just Talk the Talk and make a Show of it, they're Walking the Walk and it's evident they are Love and Faith In Action. So, I'm not putting all the Faithful on Blast, just the fake Ass ones who make a Show of their Religions and don't back it up with actual Actions, which speak much louder than their Words.
I got all Ginned Up about that Topic becoz I see so many Fundie Religions following their Orange chosen Messiah, and not Actual Jesus Teachings, so, that's quite Telling what they are REALLY all about. Donnie Two Dolls has many apologists and Followers from Fundamentalist Religious Folk factions and I find that very Telling actually. These are folks Sold Out on their "Religion" but I kinda wonder if they ever had any "Relationship" with The Lord? To not be able to discern a Devil doing Evil and being overtly Corrupt and Vile, that is quite apparent, when they see one and then strongly Support one so devoutly as they are? So, Who are they REALLY Serving? Probably not God, I highly Suspect. They really are being Instruments of a Devil instead and that's apparent to the rest of the World. Not exactly presenting a Good Witness, is it?
Anyway, each will be held accountable one way or another for being on the Wrong Side of History, of that, I'm certain. History has shown us time and time again that the vast majority of Humanity are not fond of Evil or of those involved in it. And once exposed for who and what they really are, there's no real turning back and being redeemed, you've chosen which Side you're on... of Evil versus Good. I've dropped some folks who have shown me their True Colors and it ain't Pretty, and it is truly Shocking once revealed that they aren't who or what you thought they were. Not at all. The Content of their Character has shown up as being quite disturbing actually and nothing anyone can make excuses for. You can't excuse the inexcusable. And some unfortunate folks have found out they have Family in that Camp and not just those they thought were Friends, which is particularly painful.
One of my Senior Friends at the Antique Mall has a 93 Year Old Mother who he said he always thought was not only a Good Woman his whole Life, but a very deeply Spiritual and devoutly Religious one. 'Til she joined The Cult and he's now been unable to have a rational or reasonable conversation with her since 2016! And it deeply hurt him to see her join a vile Cult, never in a Million Years would he have expected her to. And he's had to distance himself from her and he knows at her Age she really does need Family and Friends. But she's driven them all away with this Cultlike Devotion to Donnie Two Dolls and how she now talks and behaves! He said it almost resembles a Demonic Possession, and he's not Joking! He doesn't even recognize who she IS anymore?!
He told me he just can't be around her, it's too upsetting to him and he's told her this is why all her Decent Friends have fallen away too. They're appalled and disgusted by who she's Become with Following this Criminal, Cruel and Evil Psychopath. Who she Proudly Voted for both Times and is Happy with all he's doing that is so abhorrent! And he said what disturbs him most is, was this Who she always Was and it's just now been Revealed, or is it Who she's Become? He doesn't know. And I know folks like this too, that I have known a very long time, and I don't recognize Who they are, perhaps always were that just wasn't Revealed 'til now, or have Become, anymore either, and I just don't want to be around them, or have anything to do with them since the exposure is so Toxic and revolting, so I understand his Sentiments.
Yet, the Reality is, they do Live among us, always have, always will, and now we Know for Sure the percentage of them that Exist among us at least. That would be intent on destroying Decency, Democracy, and have such strong Hatreds that they would be Okay with Atrocities committed against fellow Human Beings and perhaps even be more than complicit, but participate!!!!!! My Nanna always told me Better The Devils You KNOW, Than The Devils You DON'T. True That. The Veneer has fallen away and now we SEE whose complicit and whose an Active Participant in what's going on. And that won't soon be Forgotten, even if some might be capable of Forgiveness towards them. I can't say I'd be one to Forgive an Atrocity committed tho', and if you participated in one and shown yourself to be Inhumane and delight in Cruelty, and Supporting it in any way, I could never Trust you, or Align with you, ever. I'd always have my Eye on you.
The small flock of Sky Rats that had been chasing off our Wild Birds, have moved on. We quit feeding at the Feeding Station for a few Days, coz Pigeons tend to be more opportunistic than the Wild Birds who permanently reside in our Community. So, I figured if they quit getting a Free Meal, they wouldn't be encouraged to Stay and would move on. You have to not Feed any Nuisance Animal you don't want acclimating to you. I don't Mind supplementing the Wild Birds with Feeding, they have a tough Row to Hoe as they're being displaced more and more with Urban Encroachment in their regular Territory they always inhabited around us. They're hanging on, whereas the Urban Pigeons have acclimated to City Life and why they've proliferated and now become overpopulated and a Nuisance Animal. It's a shame for them, their adaptation to us has meant a vilified reputation now and they are God's Creatures too. But, you don't want a Pigeon Problem developing on your Property.
As soon as the Pigeons were gone, the Wild Birds came back to their regular routine, which, we're happy to provide to them. We only do a small supplemental Morning Feeding so that they have to forage too as they are meant to do. I don't want them becoming Dependent upon us, I want them to remain Wild and do what they do in Nature, without reliance on Humans. I just know all the large Agricultural Fields around us they once got most of their Seed from, are gone and replaced with sprawling Subdivision Hells and hideously large Apartment Complexes now. It's problematic for the Wildlife. As less and less Green and Natural Space is available to them for Living Space as they should have in Nature. They have to learn to somewhat coexist with us to exist at all now.
In The Beginning
I dug up this Blast From The Past when I had short Baby Dreadlocks, in The Beginning. Having 60 of them back then wasn't Too Much, they were Yarn thickness. But as they Mature, get really thick/phat, long and very heavy, I had to let them Congo {grow together} to the 17 I have now, for Strength and ease of Care. Still having 60 now would look Crazy and definitely be Too Much. Hard to explain how or why, but the Volume of individual Dreadlocks matters. *LOL* Now most of them are too thick and large to put Beads on, and Accessories, like I used to tho'. But thin ones, over time, are subject to breakage and look like scary Hairy Caterpillars... The Family have tried to Kill a broken Dreadlock before now. *Bwahahahaha* And you can see how much Lighter my Hair's Become since having Dreadlocks, went from Darker Brunette to more the Hair Color I had as a Child, which was very unexpected. And a Surprise at how Phat they get all the way down too, from MicroDreads to some even being Cigar Width now. I'm coming up on my 9th Year having them, since end of May is my Dreadaversary. I will always have them.
My little 1920's Chalkware Kewpie has Dreadlocks, and I think it's actual Human Hair too? I regret not Buying her Sister Kewpie that my Friend Shelly had with this one For Sale Individually. When I relented and went back to get her, wouldn't you know some Guy had her in his Hand when I got there and Bought her, I missed it by probably Minutes!!! This is Why you never Walk Away from something Special, you may not get that 2nd Chance when you change your Mind and have Non-Buyer's Remorse now Forever and Ever about that Piece. I have a Photo of that other Kewpie too, she was sitting and hugging her Knees... but I can't find it right now in my Photo Archives and only Torment myself when I look back and say... couldda, wouldda, shouldda, and didn't, you know? *Le Sigh* Now there's a Good Post Title Hook that I didn't have to plagarize... Splendid. *Winks*
Here's a Cute One that Brandy from "Pocket Full Of Heirlooms" had Photographed in her Collection tho'. I'd be Jonesin' for the majority of Primo Objects she has in her Personal Collections. I don't know where she Sources her Merch, but she knows some Honey Holes for it, that's for sure! You just don't find as much around these Parts as she's been able to Source both in Texas and now Arkansas, where she lived before, and is currently living now. Not that I wanna go to either Texas or Arkansas, for any other reason I could remotely think of, but, clearly they do have good Pickin's there of The Good Stuff. *LOL* Below is a Pix she Posted Today of hanging some Art on her Kitchen Wall of her Historic Home she has in Arkansas. I'd Love having a Historic Home like that again! I miss my Historic Home every Day in fact.
I like the Below Idea of using Old Wooden Thread Spool to Display, Store and Use Vintage Trims. I like Fabric Art and used to do a lot of it, plan to do more of it when I ever get everything in Order, Organized and Functional in the Art Studio and other Creative Spaces here. It would be a nice way to Sell them too, tho' I don't have a cache' of Old Wooden Thread Spools and Modern Threads are on Plastic Spools. I suppose you could spray Paint Plastic Spools to make them more Display worthy to Sell Vintage Trims on. I have been falling down some Pinterest Rabbit Holes to look for Inspiring Ideas, there's always some I've never seen before. People are so Creative in a kind of Genius way that they generously Share on these Social Media sites.
One Observation I've been making on my own Blog is that usually when I Publish a Post, the first 100 or so Readers don't Comment. Most Comments come in after well over 100 Views on any Post, which, is just Interesting and makes me Curious. Are the Interactive Dear Readers showing up mostly later in any given Day? Are the Lurker Non Participatory Dear Readers just up and Reading Blogs earlier? I Lurk a lot, and usually do so earlier too, I tend to Comment only some of the time as well, depending on the Blog and it's Content. Sometimes I have nothing to say or don't know the Blogger really all that well to weigh in on what they've Written about. Some Bloggers I've gotten to know for Years. And you've Established an Online Relationship with.
And like with Old Friends you know well in Real Life, you are more prone to speak your Mind to those you have Established a stronger Connection with and Relationship cultivated, over Time. In Real Life, I don't Comment much on what folks are Saying, I just Listen intently. Especially people I don't know all that well, I don't actively participate in deeper or important conversations with. You Learn at least Twice as much by Listening than by Talking, perhaps that is why we have Two Ears and only One Mouth? *Winks* Plus, if I don't feel I know you, I am not particularly all that involved with you, to where what you say even matters to me. I feel everyone is Opinionated and Entitled to their Opinions, Right, Wrong or Indifferent. I can amicably Agree to Disagree without causing Drama and a Headache, even if I find you to be a disgusting Human Being I could never muster any Respect for.
The Attention Seekers on Social Media just seen Thirsty, too Thirsty, for Attention. Be it Negative or Positive Attention, it's like a Childish Antic to garner Attention any way they can. Ad so they tend to intentionally try to be divisive, angry or controversial as Bait IMO. Click Bait on FB has been kind of pathetic with some Users, so desperate for "Likes" and for someone to Prop them Up when they're feeling particularly Sorry for themselves and the "Nobody Likes Me" wailing and threatening to Unfriend everyone. *Eye Roll and Laugh* Okay, so Unfriend everyone then, nobody really Cares and you're probably much too High Maintenance and Fragile to Keep your Friends anyway.
After a while folks get fed up with Dramatics and histrionics from a Grown Ass Adult and begin falling away in droves. I do know a few Drama Queens, not as many Guys fall into the Habitual Victim and Woe Is Me mode, but, some do. The Prez sure does, OMG, what a perpetual Victim Mentality that Spoiled rotten Human, whose had a Lifetime of Entitlement, sees himself as and has Tantrums about constantly, Creating unnecessary distraction Dramas when things aren't going his way at all. It's so predictable and so unprofessional and Unpresidential. Christ on a Bike. This Morning I guess he was up Early griping about the 2020 Election again and using his upended FBI to grab Voter Ballots out of Georgia, for whatever nefarious Purposes they think they'd Need them, since Investigations Galore already came up Empty over the past Six Years! OMG, pleaaaase, get over your Old Loss already you big Orange spray-tanned ridiculous looking Senile acting Childish Man-Baby.
And his Porn Hooker Mail Order Bride turned First Lady, whose always squinting like she desperately needs Glasses. Her Documentary flopping and nobody is Interested. I couldn't be less Interested about the Woman. Yawn, yeah, Melania, nobody really ever wanted to know about you Girl, get over yourself. But Amazon sure spent a Fortune making it and promoting it... to try to make being a First Lady a lucrative Grift. You know, like the rest of the Family has so blatantly and shamelessly done, with Conflicts of Interest and Criminal Activities galore. Coz Cons do what Cons be doing. Today at the Intersection closest to our House all the Two High Schools of Kiddos were out Protesting ICE. Good, The Young People will have to BE the Change they want in this Country so they have a Future and a Democracy left.
They were being Peaceful but there were Hundreds of them so there was also a Strong Local Police presence Protecting them since most were Hispanic Students vulnerable to ICE's Targeting of them simply due to their Ethnicity, even if they are American Citizens exercising their 1st Amendment Right to Peaceful Protest against our Government and what they're doing to our Country that is not Okay. Everyone in Vehicles was honking in Solidarity and most of our Local Police are Hispanic too so I felt the Kids might be Safer being Protected by Officers that, when they aren't at Work, are just as likely to be Profiled and harassed by ICE Agents. It's happened in other States where ICE is out of Control, where they're trying to Target Black and Brown Off Duty Police Officers. Further Proof that they aren't going after "The Worst of The Worst Criminals" or doing any Due Diligence about who they're picking up.
Granted, most of those Students aren't even Old enuf to Vote yet, but they're getting Involved and I'm Glad to see that. I was Glad to see what they'd written on their Protest Signs, very Thoughtful and Mature stuff. Clearly, and Thankfully, most of our Youth aren't Cult driven Mindless Monkeys like some Adults have become. A few of Princess T's Friends whose Parents or Grandparents are MAGA, are quite Ashamed of that fact, and don't have the best Relationship with their Parents or Grandparents anymore now due to the Devotion to this Regime. When the Kids are Smarter than the Adults in the Room, it's a Sad commentary.
I had to bring The Man Home early, he wasn't Feeling Well at all... he'd come with me to stock my Showroom and Case with the Banana Box filled with Merch. When he immediately asks to come Home coz he suddenly doesn't Fell Well, I bring him right back Home and have him Rest. He's been doing that a lot lately, yet, during his Visits to Doctor and Home Nurse Visits, his Vitals are better than they've ever been, so, I don't know what's going on with him? I don't think he's putting it on either, he legit doesn't LOOK like he's Feeling Well. We told his Doc this, and they did adjust some of his Medication, not much of it tho', he's on maximum dosage of most of it. And Honestly, it seems he's been worse since his Arteries were recently unblocked than he was before when he had the major Blockage of Two of them, which is Strange.

So, perhaps it's just his Body re-adjusting to the new proper Flow and Stabilized Diabetes too? I sometimes don't feel Good when my Numbers are Best and Normal, coz they'd been High for so long. When your Diabetes is not controlled, your Body does learn to adjust and Deal with your Numbers being High and abnormal, becoz it's become your New Normal so to speak. The Body just Naturally tries to keep going and adjust to whatever it's confronted with as best it can. Now that I've got him Home he seems to be doing way better. And it didn't take us long to put my Merch in, always takes longer to Price it than to Stock it. I saw so many New Hires there behind the Register and Vendors who are Working as Key Dealers. Most didn't know what they're doing yet.
The Greeter was so distracted visiting with folks she wasn't paying Attention to Vendors leaving with Boxes or their Merch. Or Greeting people coming in. She's supposed to Photograph anything going out and Log it after she checks that it matches their Dealer Number on their Price Tags. Or make sure Customers Paid for their Purchase if it isn't Bagged. She wasn't doing that at all or checking and logging or photographing anything. I stopped with my empty Banana Box to show her it wasn't filled with Merch, like you're supposed to. But she was so distracted Chit-Chatting that she just ignored me and finally I just walked out. If I have to tell her how to do her Job, I just don't have it in me to get that involved anymore with those not up to the Job that Management have given Shifts to or Hired as Paid Staff. Not my Day to Watch 'em. *Winks* No Wonder Loss Prevention is not Tight tho' and shit is walking out the doors.
I should, I would, I could, and will now... ha ha ha... Dawn... The Bohemian
