Update On The Collective Medical Emergencies

 

So, there's Salt on the Ground of my Door Threshold and Hieroglyphics in colored Chalk around the parameter of the Door Jambs too.  The Man asks me, "What's this Honey?"  "Oh, he's keeping out Evil Spirits, apparently they're everywhere and they're trying to get in..."   Yeah, when you're now living with Paranoid Schizophrenics in the household that's a normal enuf conversation to be having very nonchalantly when asked.  *LOL*  We're sufficiently Salted and Chalked Up now and repelling all Evil, so, we're Good.  *Smiles*

And, I may be speculating here, but if I was Satan, I think this would be the last place I'd ever pay a Visit, just sayin'.  So many other less trying options and places for the Prince Of Darkness to try to get himself into a Situation with.  *LOL and Winks*  But, just in case he plans on showing up... apparently we're ready now.  I don't clean any of it up, I just leave it alone, as if it's Normal, and so when anyone asks, like The Man did, I matter-of-factly explain as if that's Normal too.  *Bwahahaha*  Oddly, most of our Friends/Guests don't even ask, so I presume they think that for us, it's perfectly Normal.  *LMAOROTF*

I did ask The Young Prince, since he was really going to Town on repelling Evil here, Whatssup?   Well, there was a lot of stuff coming and going, so it had to Stop, and now it has, so he's a lot less Paranoid now and so... Okay then.   He sees a LOT of stuff, all of the time, everywhere, so, whatever brings him Peace and a sense of Security is Okay with me.  He was pleased to tell me he's 'almost' cleared a Pathway for me to Walk thru the Art Studio Space he now occupies, so that I won't fall and break a Hip or anyone could get out in case of a Fire.  That's Nice, I don't know how Satan would have even fared trying to get 'in' there actually, but, whatever, nobody else could.

The Son grilled Hamburgers and baked Rally's Waffle Fries, it's the only Blog Fodder I got for you Today taken, unless I wanted to Photograph the Salting and Hieroglyphs?   And, I don't, I try to just ignore they're there, everywhere, on every access point to our Home now.  Now, I grew up with Parents that put Talismans everywhere, due to their respective Cultures, and I do too to some extent, so I'm not mocking any Protective or Spiritual Measures, one can never be too Careful.  But The Grandson takes it to a whole other Level.  *Smiles*  And he's dead Serious about all of it, so the Family is Fine with just it being everywhere now.

I didn't do much on the 1st Day of a New Month, I consider March the 1st Day of Spring even tho' it's not Officially so.  It was over 90 Degrees all day so it felt like Full On Spring and not Winter lingering.  I got Bills sent out, did some light Grocery Shopping, that's about it, other than watching some Episodes of "American Pickers" that I'd seen some of, but enjoyed enuf to watch again coz they were some good Picks.  I especially liked Two Episodes, one in LaSalle where they Picked an Old Hardware Store on Main Street and bought some of the exact same Hardware I just bought from my Friend Big Kenny at last Month's Event.  Sad tho' when a Family that's owned a Business since the 1800's finally has to admit they can't keep it going, or perhaps even keep the Building now, mostly due to the Internet and Small Town America becoming a Rust Belt Economically and is never coming back.  That's a White House Myth just Baiting The MAGA.

The other Pick was in Poetry, Texas, when an Artist Widow, Nora, had some Quirky Cool Collections, including a Psychedelic Black Jesus that Danielle bought.  The last time Mike had Picked there was when Nora's Husband of 43 Years was still Alive.  Nora had some of the Primo Kitsch Collectibles, I would have bonded with Nora like Danielle did, we have a similar Quirky Aesthetic.    So many things Nora had I'd fall in Love with too if I Found them while on the Thrill of the Hunt, including Psychedelic Black Jesus, and I'm sure spending 43 Years with her Beloved with that similar Passion was a Blast.  Now it obviously didn't mean as much to her without him being there, but, she'll always have the Memories even if she now Sells it all to fund the next Chapter of her Life without him, downsizing and going Smaller in her Old Age.  She'll always be an Artist, even if she quits Collecting one day.

I don't like Mike's new Show about "Famous Picks", it's boring and is just Storytelling, not actually going on epic Picks, so, a disappointment IMO.  Stories of the Picks of Lore are rather boring if you aren't actually in the presence of the Objects or the Hunt to Find them.  It's like hearing someone's Big Fish Story but not seeing them actually catch it.  Part of the Fun of watching "American Pickers" was meeting the folks they Picked and watching them paw thru the Junque to find what they'd Buy, see the Old Buildings many were in or the Historic Homes and Homesteads that were pretty much as they'd been for Generations and kinda suspended in Time.  I can't Imagine Multiple Generations living in one spot and passing it along coz my Family were never able to do that, having lived a Nomadic and Military Life.  My folks didn't own Property until after Dad Retired from the Military... then didn't own it all that long and Sold it.

After that they Rented for a while and Dad bought another House after they Divorced, and Mom lived in various Apartments for Seniors.   There was really no Inheritance to speak of, Dad being a Minimalist, Mom's stuff all moved to Cali with her when my Brother relocated her there, so he just kept what she had when she transitioned to a Nursing Home, then a Hospice.  Our Heirs will have a lot to dispose of as Inheritance.  *LOL*  Some feel Okay about that, some don't, so they can sort that out when I'm gone, The Man said if I go first he's still letting all the Kids sort that shit out, coz he doesn't wanna be bothered by the logistics of disposition of any of it.  *Smiles*   Like my Dad, The Man is a Minimalist.  I used to think my Mom was a Maximalist, but I got her beat, Hands down.  *Bwahahahaha*

The Young Prince is feeling much better and so is Princess T, both responding very quickly and well to their Antibiotics.   I think they both wanna try to do too much too soon, coz... they're Young, and Youth is often wasted on the Young like that.  *Ha ha ha*   I marathon watched Amazon Prime when Allen told The Young Prince he'll keep paying for it on our TV coz we had to let NetFlix go when The Son became unemployed and got Laid Off without Warning.   So, I binge watched a bunch of Comedian Specials and had a lot of Laughs, which sure beat the nonstop News Coverage on regular TV of us starting a War with Iran and WWIII looming large due to the War Crimes Criminal-In-Chief and his bloodthirsty Acolyte War Monger Pete Hegseth.   I mean, let's face it, when H decided he wanted his Official Title to be "U.S. Secretary of WAR" rather than "U.S. Secretary of Defense", we shouldda seen that one coming.

And both of the Grandsons agreed it was better I just watch nonstop Comedy than to be Wound Up like a Motherfucker about the Reality we're all facing.  The Young Prince saying, well, let's just Eat, Drink and be Merry Gramma, for Tomorrow we shall Die... Right?   So, he went on a Date with BCG and Princess T had Rusty pick her up, they're going about just being Young and having Fun now, regardless of the Young not really being sure they'll even have a Future now?   I Hope they do, but both of them aren't even sure they'll be the last Generation to reach Adulthood at this rate the World is unraveling due to Senile Old White Men trying to destroy everyone's Future.   Since we already do have some Great-Grandkids, that is a scary potential prospect for us who are already Great-Grandparents and would like both Generations of Grands and Great-Grands to have a Promising Future.   Or to know it was our Generation that failed them all.  Not me or The Man Personally... but... still... OUR Generation per se.

I don't think Geriatrics ought to be making all the decisions for any Country, or be in Top Leadership, coz they have no Future.  There ought to be a mandatory Retirement Age for all of them.  Otherwise it keeps me up at Night to know a Dude shitting his Pants in the Oval Office, sounding and acting completely Senile, and looking like a decaying Corpse or the Lead in a "Weekend At Bernie's" Sequel, is the one declaring Wars now all by himself and making America's most important decisions!!!   When even MJT is sounding more like the Voice of Reason of the ReTrumplican Party and MAGA, well, I have no Words about how alarming that all is!!!    I think she bailed from the Crazy Train when she saw it is definitely gonna do a "Thelma & Louise".

 

I've been trying to catch up on Blog Reads with ya'll, since I was quite distracted for several Days now with the Krew here at The Asylum having their collective Medical Emergencies.   I may be able to get back to Blogging As Usual after this Post now???   And I've Cribbed some favorite Imagery from Online Sites that are my Fav Visuals to use for some of my Visual Blog Fodder, for lack of Pathological Picture Taking Ops of my own too.   I've taken some Pixs lately, but not a lot of Opportunities have existed to be Editorial enuf for Blog Fodder Visuals worthy to Share.  The lack of Opportunity coupled with the lack of Photo Op worthy Events has meant a real Visual Dry Spell to move thru.  I don't feel particularly Inspired by anything seen lately.  My Annual Pass for Local Parks is expiring this Month and I doubt I'll renew that either, it will go the way of NetFlix.  And I'm even considering letting my Desert Botanical Gardens Membership lapse too when it's coming up for renewal.

Not even sure now whether I'll be able to Fund the Renaissance Festival or not?  I had told the G-Kid Force I'd shoot for March, which is the last Month of it, but, now I just dunno if Budget will permit?  Unless they Bankroll it, it's looking more and more unlikely now.   And Taxes are coming up soon too and I dunno if that was all more Bullshit coming out of the White House that they won't be Taxing Social Security and Pensions of the Aged/Retired or not?   Online Googling suggests it was some Bullshit, which, isn't surprising in the least.   A temporary $12,000 per Couple Deduction for 2025-2028 is the Reality... meaning up to 85% of Benefits is still Taxable for all of us, even tho' Donnie Two Dolls and his Billionaires Boys Club still won't be paying any on their Billions they made in 2025.  

They received ALL the actual Tax Breaks and "Socialism for the Elite" Bailouts, not the American People.  So, the Status Quo still.  No Surprises there to me, I expected as much from these Pathological Liars, Career Grifters and Consummate Conmen.  It's not as if we haven't seen this Show before on Repeat.   So I'm bracing for the rest of 2026 to be pretty tight Financially and I'm not even exactly certain there will be any more Free and Fair Elections in this Country to Change any of it for the better now... not even by the Midterms?   I'm not a Pessimist by Nature, but, I am a Realist and acknowledge what I see playing out now.  When he Warned that more Americans are gonna Die, I honestly don't think he's just referring to the Military Personnel he's intentionally putting in Harm's way either, just sayin'.   The Sizes of these Concentration Camps they're intent on building and filling, do you Honestly Believe it will just hold the Undocumented?  Come On.  Don't be so Naive or such a Rube.
