This is gonna be a tough Post to get thru... a lot has been going on. Too many Stressful situations at once. I fell Asleep again before it even got dark outside, so woke up at 4:30 in the Morning the next day! I had been watching marathon "American Pickers" Episodes and struggling to remain Awake thru them. Then Mike Wolfe's new Show came on of Greatest Picks and I find it to be boring and mostly re-creations of Picker Stories of Lore, so, fell Asleep during the first Episode. They were telling of Mohammad Ali's Red Robe being bought at a Storage Locker that hadn't been Paid for in 7 Months so went up for Auction. Someone Paid Two Grand for the Locker and the Robe netted them a Handsome Son at another Auction they put it in. He'd worn the Red Robe instead of his Black & White one, it was the 1st time he'd been knocked down and lost a fight, to Joe Frazier, so he thought the Robe was Jinxed and responsible and threw it to someone, who kept it 17 Years in that Storage Locker.
Then they did another Great Pick Story of the Found Poster that Sold for the most ever at Auction. A Guy Found it laying in the wreckage of the Plane Crash of The Big Bopper, Richie Valens, and Buddy Holly. It was a never hung up, never fully printed Poster of the Venue they would have played had they not all Died in that fateful Plane Crash due to the Weather. Anyway, it Sold for over Four Hundred Thousand Bucks, but not by the Guy that Found it, another Guy had paid about $178,000 for it from that Guy's Heirs, sensing it was worth much more and a OOAK. So, a good Day then for that Guy to have been Right. I Guess the Original Guy had kept it in a Drawer for Years and Years, so one of his Heirs found it there and put it up For Sale, probably pleased he got over a Hundred a Seventy Grand for it... but getting almost Half a Million was staggering for the Guy who'd Invested almost Two Hundred Grand to Buy it.
The Stories of coarse are Cool, but I still find that Show rather boring coz it's re-enactments and a lot of Storytelling, but not a lot of Hunting for stuff during Picks, which I found more Entertaining on "American Pickers". Where you see where they actually Find things, what they Find, and meet the Collectors and what they have. To me their Stories and their Locations are much more interesting for a TV Show. I'm glad Mike got a New Show coz he's been doing Shows for a long time now and it wasn't the same when Frank left the original Show. It was like when Grant left the Show of "Ghost Hunters", tho' Jason remained, the dynamic was gone when he partnered up with other people too. And with Mike teaming up with his Brother, or Jersey Mike, Danielle, or every so often someone else, the dynamic wasn't as good for the Show as when he Picked with Frank.
It's not that the other people didn't know what they were doing, they did, and were decent personalities. But it's like when an Actor leaves a Sitcom and is replaced by another Actor, but in the same Role, it just isn't the same being a 'replacement' of a Role you got used to someone else being in and establishing first. I remember feeling the same way when on a Fav old Sitcom "Roseanne" they replaced the Character of the Daughter Becky. The 'New' Becky was actually a better and less annoying Actress than the original Becky, but it wasn't Becky and so it just bugged me. They should have just killed Becky off or something and not tried to replace her with another Actress and pretend it was the same Daughter! *LOL* I know, Morbid, but, that's how I felt about it. That's not fucking the same Person, so don't make me accept it is! *Bwahahaha*
And then when the New "Roseanne" came out I liked it, and then they kicked Roseanne off her own Show, due to her being controversial as a Comedian, which was ridiculous coz she's ALWAYS been fucking controversial in Real Life with her Comedy being edgy and rather Offensive, but now we're so fucking PC about it, and that bothered me too. Yes, I still watched it, but, not only wasn't it as good or the same without her. But, hadn't Dan Died in the original Series? And, what, he came back to Life again? And they made up some lame reason of why he hadn't REALLY Died... and yet his Character now might as well have been Dead! And frankly, tho' I always liked John Goodman as Dan, in his Old Age he was trying too hard to be Funny now and it was just Sad to watch too. Whatever John used to have, he'd Lost it and now it was like watching a Singer who got too Old and is still trying to Sing and just can't anymore. And you're like, shouldda Quit while things were still Dignified.
And some Actors from the original Show had actually Died for Reals, like the Actor who played Becky's Husband Mark, played by Actor Glenn Quinn. Who sadly Died in 2002 due to Drugs, but they Killed Off in a Motorcycle Accident for the Sitcom's sake of why he was suddenly gone. And I forgot how many Cameo Characters became really famous from that original Show, like a Young George Clooney who played Booker. And how many Older Iconic ones were on the Show like Shelly Winters, who played the Great-Grandma. Leonardo DiCaprio was on it in a Cameo Role or Guest Star, Ellen DeGeneres, Toby Maguire, Chris Farley, Joan Collins, Neil Patrick Harris, Bruce Willis, Sandra Bernhard, Martin Mull, Katey Sagal. She had quite the lineup at one time that wanted to be a part of it when she was a Heavy Hitter in Hollywood. And of coarse she Married Tom Arnold for Reals from that Show for Husband No. 2... and then her Personal Security Guard for Husband No. 3.
As you can tell I was really Into that Show, it still is one of my all time Favs. And I will watch Marathon Reruns of it coz it's Timeless in it's Comedic Style and how they Family interacted with each other and what they went thru that Real Families just do and the dynamic of a Family. They were the One TV Family to me that was most authentic and not so Saccharine and contrived like most TV Sitcom Families tend to be or how the Kids and Parents, even extended Family, interact in Real Life. They addressed some Real Issues over the Years, tho' done Comedically, they made a lot of Statements about what was controversial Topics, fearlessly. I do think the Remake went a little overboard trying too hard to insert some Characters representing current Issues and Norms, like the Trans Grandson and DJ having an Interracial Marriage and his Wife being Active Duty Military. They were just throwing everything in there and it just wasn't working IMO. Sometimes trying too hard just looks like trying too hard.
As you can tell I'm discussing random Topics so I don't have to discuss Serious ones right now that are personal and troubling. Like The Man's failing Health. Or The Daughter's volatile relationship that has just about estranged her from most Family Members now. Our Friends Dino and Yolanda, who will be visiting us soon, know the Guy, coz Dino was Married to Mando's Aunt at one time. They told me, when they found out who she was with, to just keep an Eye on him coz his Temper has been very problematic before and he's not a Good Guy, but tries to Act like one. Which was no Surprise, but did give me more pause and alarm, from what they told me. Of coarse Mando bashed our Friend Dino's Character, coz of his Aunt's relationship and Divorce. But the Dino we have known for over 40 Years is nothing like the Dino that Mando spoke of. So, either Dino made a complete 180, which is possible, people can Change for the Better... or for the Worse... or, just had a Marriage that didn't work out, but his Relationship with Yolanda just has and is different.
Anyway, it's not so unusual in Avondale for everyone to know everyone else, for Generations, and why we Like living here. Even if you don't initially know someone, you end up knowing people they know or are related to! *LOL* It's grown a lot in recent Years, but long time Families have lived here for Generations and if someone has a certain Surname, they're likely related in some way to everyone else with that Surname locally. *Winks* Mando and Dino's Two Surnames are related to many folks that still live here and so usually are Family in some regards. And sometimes those Families have had Unions too. Everyone in our Family has a different Surname so we're the more confusing long time Family living in these parts. Each of my Kids has a different Surname than me when I remarried The Man. The Daughter has my Maiden Surname, The Son has my 1st Husband's Surname, each of The G-Kid Force has the Surname of their respective Dads. *LOL* So, we're a Family of Six with Five different Surnames. A True Modern blended Family. Bwahahaha*
Today I think I'll probably go into the 5th Wheel and tidy it up, just so that's Done. The Daughter hasn't made any attempt to coz he'd have to bring her here and he's no longer Welcome on our Property. I just don't want him getting comfortable being on the Property and try to weasel his way back into our Lives coz it just didn't work out and it won't either. He is who he is and he doesn't have control over himself or his Temper, and it's not Okay. We gave him the chance to promote Change as a Guest here and he couldn't and didn't, seemed incapable of it, so, he blew it. He is too confrontational with some Family Members and it got to the point it got Physical between him and The Son and The Young Prince, coz he provoked them and they will fuck you up defending The Daughter or if you start a Fight with them, they'll end it with a flourish. And no way he can Square Off successfully with either of them.
So, I'm afraid they would hand him his Ass again if he showed up, so it's best he just stay away now. I don't need either of them catching Charges for beating down an Old Sick Man who is trying to act Tough and foolishly. But, he has started Fights with The Daughter, The Son, and her Son now, and it's just not Okay. We're not the kind of folks who Start Fights, but we sure as Hell with End some with a flourish if you Go There with any of us. We don't mess around, if you Threaten any of us or start something Verbal or Physically Abusive against any of our Family, you're getting taken Down and quickly. He doesn't seem to Learn, since, losing those Fights hasn't changed his demeanor, so, clearly he just doesn't have Control over his own Self and it's just who he is and probably always has been? Above is one of my Welsh Cousin's Sons.
Anyway... We have Zero Tolerance for abusive behavior towards anyone here, period, full stop. Not Verbal, not Physical. If you have that tendency, then just stay away, we don't want you here. I don't even wanna really Know you. It will never be tolerated or okay. I don't wanna be calling Police or breaking up Fights all the time coz a Guest can't fucking behave or show Respect. Anyway, my adage towards him is just Be Well and just Stay Gone at this juncture, but, she insists on being with him, so, it's problematic from that standpoint. He's never been anything but Respectful and Helpful to The Man and I, but, we know he isn't towards other Family and so, if you aren't Right with them, you're not gonna be Right with me either. And The Man knows that about me and told him, you've Crossed Dawn now, which wasn't Wise, coz she's Ride or Die with her Family, all of them... and... you are NOT Family. *Winks*
Allen Learned that the hard way too and made the same Mistake, he was Family by Marriage... WAS being the Key Word now. *Winks* I wish him Well, but, he's no longer Welcome here either, for similar reasons, his Temper got the best of him too often, he wasn't Safe to be around. To me, if someone shows themselves to not have Control of themselves, then they just don't Feel Safe to be around and thus I don't want them around. I mean, my Family is Bat Shit Crazy, but they know good and well that they must behave here or they gotta Go. If you Feel out of Control, Fine, but disengage, go into temporary seclusion until you come back to Center and have your fucking Head on Straight and can be Safe and Decent to be around. It's my Rule, I don't bend it for anyone, not EVEN Family and particularly not someone who isn't even Family and is just a Guest here. Who acts up as a Guest anyway, that's even Crazier to me. I'm not Mentally Well, but I've never acted the Fool or Disrespectful at someone else's Property as their Guest in my whole damned Life!

Now, I can't say some in our Family haven't... coz they have... but they knew if they did, it would make them not Welcome to be there, even if they didn't Start what went Sideways. Usually, Drinking was involved. Which, I have found that when Drinking is involved, things generally do tend to go Sideways at gatherings, which, is why we don't allow drunkenness here, it's a Trigger for me personally. I don't like Drunks, I don't care who you are, if you're Drunk and had too much to Drink, then I don't wanna be around you at all. You will piss me off if you start acting stupid due to your Alcohol consumption, and then you and I will have us a Situation between us, rest assured. And it will go badly for you then. I HATE Alcoholic Dependency, to me it's just as Bad as Drug Addiction, and causes more problems with Relationships when anyone becomes dependent upon either substance, be it a Drug or Liquor/Beer.
Substance Abuse I have a Zero Tolerance Policy for around me... no exceptions. It's caused more problems with the Adult Kids than any other thing that has come between us... and they know it. I once deliberately had only Two Beers to make them Deal with me under the Influence and ask them, How ya Like me now? Would you want to Deal with ME all the time like that? They definitely did NOT!!! I go Drunk Indian from Zero to risking Prison Time on just a couple Beers, which, is why I do NOT Drink. God only knows how Crazy I'd get under the influence of a Drug, and I don't wanna know either, so have never taken any to find out how Scary I'd be? I can be Scary totally Clean and Sober if you Test me and don't Back Off when I tell you to... and go Mental. And so anytime someone is nearing being Drunk, I Warn them, don't do it, don't have another Drink, or you and I will have us a Situation. It WILL be Bad. Do you want a Situation? Usually that answer is No, we do NOT. *Smiles*
Mando has told me he doesn't want a Situation with me, which is a Wise Choice on his behalf. Allen also never wants another Situation with me either, Wise decision coz the 1st one he had with me was Enough for him. The Young Prince told me Allen is legitimately Afraid of me now. *Winks, I'm Okay with that, I'll take Fear over Respect any day.* And I'm an Old Woman now, so I have even less Tolerance for anyone's Bullshit anymore than I probably ever had. *LOL* If you even Smell like you're gonna be Drama or a Headache, step off and just stay in your own damned Lane already, don't stray into mine. I like my Lane to be free of anyone whose Drama, I like my Life to be Peaceful and copacetic just the way it is when I wake up every Morning, until Peopling gets involved. So, I'm very selective about which People I want in it now. I'm all Friended Up, so don't Need anyone 'New' whose a Question Mark or a Wild Card disrupting that Zen and disturbing my Calm. *Smiles* And, I'd like to have our Daughter back and not under the Influence of this Guy. But, she's chosen him.
I don't know if any of the rest of you are at that juncture in your Lives, where, if folks are Problematic, just stay the fuck away from you? This whole Administration is Problematic and I can't wait for all of them to be Gone, any kind of way Gone actually, I don't even Care how they're Taken Out now, I really don't. If they won't just leave voluntarily, then, any way they're removed is Fine with me after all the damage they've caused here and Worldwide, even Toes Up and Toe Tagged. And I mean that sincerely, becoz some folks just need to be involuntarily removed once they've become too dangerous to others... and that's where we're at right now with this Sick Leadership we have in place. They are a Threat and a Danger to all Living Things, so, they Need to Go before they cause more unnecessary harm and Death. May their consequences just catch up to them.
And they're giving so many 'Gifts' to our Adversaries, like Putin, by their Behavior and Choices, that it's outright Treason and Espionage. They're handing us to our Enemies and have been Bought and Paid for by the likes of him. Quite SURE he has the Goods on many of them. He may be Evil as Fuck, but he's KGB to his Core and not Stupid, but we're stocked up on Stupid, Greedy and Incompetent in this Administration, so he is Playing them for the Greedy Clueless Fools that they are. And, since none of them dare say a Negative thing about him, clearly, they're Fearful of him and he has them by the Short Hairs. I'd actually be Interested to know what he does Have on them all? Should be quite enlightening and scandalous to the Nth Degree, that's for sure. All their dirty little Secrets if he were to Spill their Tea and make it Public, with all the Evidence, Proof and Truth to show the Receipts, which, I bet he has. I think even some MAGA now know Skeletons will be falling out of Closets that they can't be in Denial about or Defend anymore.
Some will latch on to their own Graves tho', and their consequences will catch up to them too. I can't feel badly about that either, it has to happen eventually when folks make really Bad Choices in Life. And nobody can deter them even with the best of Intentions meant to be Helpful to them. Sometimes you can't protect folks from themselves, and they can and often are their own worse Enemy really. I cleaned out the 5th Wheel, with the Help of The Son and The Young Prince. She's going to have to be asked to leave, I can't have things as they were and she wasn't coming back coz she knew how they were in there, so was in avoidance mode. It was upsetting to her Son to see how unraveled she is, he's not even that unraveled, and he's pretty unraveled Mentally at times. It took over 8 Hours for all Three of us to wade thru that mess.
We had to throw out a lot, Donate a lot, Launder about Two loads of Dirty Clothing, and kept about 3 Milk Crates full of her Clothing that was Clean, but, not in Order at all. We had to throw out everything in the Trashes and the Fridge, most of what was in the Fridge was empty containers of things like condiments... completely empty! Everything was in disarray and half of that was him too, he is a messy person and I'm not convinced he's not abusing his Medications or supplementing them. Which is why I didn't want her around him. Anyway, the Guys wore Gloves and did all the heavier stuff for me, they could tell it was taking a heavy Emotional Toll on me more than a Physical one tho'. Even tho' we started at 5:00 a.m. and didn't get done until well after Noon!
By then we lost all our Shade outside and it had gotten Hot inside the 5th Wheel. So, I had tidied it all in there and put everything outside of it that needed to come out of it. With Three of us working solid for 8 Hours we're still not completely done. But I Donated 6 Banana Boxes full of Clothing and Shoes, most of which probably don't even fit her anymore coz she has gained Weight since being here and eating regularly. Whether she's been Clean the whole time I can't attest to, probably not, and I know she hasn't been Sober. Her Kids can't take her Breaking Trust with them by reverting to a Lifestyle she's always had and wasn't conducive to being a Parent at all. I'd say she did better than usual, and tried, but, it couldn't last and be sustained.
I'm disappointed, but, not Surprised. She's almost 50 Years Old now and so much hasn't changed so my expectations are realistic. Her Illness is Forever and never really improves, her preferred way of Living is what she's used to and staying put and having to maintain a Home is something she's never been able to do. Self-Medicating with something has been the Usual with her off and on since she was 15 and first Diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness. She doesn't Cope well Sober or Clean with her Demons that Schizophrenia and D.I.D. torment her with. And having Relationships isn't something she's been able to do well with either, it's just hard. I Love her Unconditionally but some things we can't have around us or it negatively impacts everyone here. Anyway, at least we got the 5th Wheel cleaned out and in Order again... it was really bad.
I had done QC on it just a couple Weeks ago, and it was Lovely, so it got that Bad in about a Fortnite, that's how quickly things can go sideways with her and unravel completely. And it kind of is similar with The Young Prince so I have to Check on him often too to ensure he's being Sanitary and Safe with his Habits of Living as well. He knows he's got a Caseworker coming in just Two Days and when they come they are Free to check everything without permission, so I told him, it all has to be in Order for a Caseworker's Inspection. It's why we hit that 5th Wheel hard too, it has to be in Order due to The Man and The Young Prince now having Caseworkers to receive their Services. I had to cancel Nurse Remi's visit for Tuesday coz The Man isn't likely to come Home on Monday yet.
She was sorry to hear he had the Medical Emergency and the Emergency "Procedure" for his Heart, but, she also wasn't the least bit Surprised. She told me, well, you and I both felt something was Wrong, we just knew all the Good Numbers were covering up something that wasn't really Right, but we couldn't know exactly what it was? I'd told her I'd had Premonitions only Days before he had his Medical Emergency and that it was concerning me. Being African, she Believes in those kinds of things too so wasn't skeptical at all about it. She said that a Wife knows her own Husband and her own Children and Grandchildren better than anyone. So, quite often we Instinctively know when something is just not Right and is going Wrong even before it does.
The Hospital called by 2:00 p.m. to come get The Man, they were releasing him. I got there and when they took his I.V. out he bled like a Pig and they couldn't get it to stop. Heparin. They were gonna sent him Home like that telling me not to worry, it does that. I'm like, No, and it's Freaking me Out, get it to stop and THEN I'll take him Home! It took Three Nurses and Four Gauze piles soaked with Blood to finally get it under control, I would have panicked if it had kept doing that all the way Home. Not to mention, bleed all over my Truck coz it was so bad it soaked the pile of Gauze in Seconds, then ran down his Arm several times. Since they knew he wasn't being taken Home until they got the Bleeding stopped they finally got it stopped, took all Three of them, but, stopped, and off to Home we went. *Smiles*
I'm getting thru the Two Loads of Laundry I hauled out of the 5th Wheel, most of it ended up being all the Missing Towels! I'd been blaming The Grandson, turns out, it wasn't him after all, they'd been Hoarding the dirty Towels in there until I guess they used every fucking Towel in the House! I had to tell The Man about it, we'd spent 8 Hours getting the 5th Wheel cleaned out and presentable. Upset with how it was... that she can't come back until she gets her Life back on Track, I just can't tolerate he sliding backwards instead of making progress and that Boyfriend being a Negative Bad Influence. I had wrestled whether to tell him or not... but, we don't keep Secrets from each other. As it turns out he knew it was all going Sideways, so, he's disappointed too, but not Surprised. She is who she is and has always been. But, she did Help us a lot before the Wheels came off this time.
I enjoyed her being around until things went Sideways again. I can't put all the blame on this Guy, it's a pattern with her that she can only keep it together so long before she just can't and doesn't again. I guess I was too Hopeful this time would be different and I wanted it to be. She was trying harder than ever, and did pretty good for the most part, so that progress was encouraging. And my expectations should have been more Realistic and grounded. But I was Hopeful and I don't wanna feel Hopeless about anyone I Care about or give up on them and Write them Off. You just want them to be Okay. Going thru all her things and putting them in Order wasn't easy, becoz it was Emotional, not so much becoz it was a lot of Work to run damage control behind it being chaotic and messy. She's helped me out so much in The RV Garage Mahal and around the House, so, I guess I also thought we'd finish that together... High Hopes.
Calm was disturbed and Zen was disrupted... but Tomorrow will be a brand new Day... Dawn... The Bohemian
