I know some of you were surprised we had Crisis Upgrades... well, coz, let's face it, we're just that 'Extra' and not your 'Basic' folks at all, even with our Crisis. *Winks* The Son and I went to visit The Man this Morning and while there he was being 'graduated' from Cardiac ICU already to a Room, so, that's a favorable improvement to his responsiveness to his new Treatments, Med Changes and the Procedure he had done.
His little Young Cute Nurse with the Helium Cartoon Character Voice corrected me when I called what he'd had a "Surgery" coz they prefer to call the least Invasive a "Procedure". *Eye Roll* Listen, GF, he was Minutes from Dying from what Dr. Pham said and everything went Sideways, and they had to get INTO him to prevent that. So, to me that's a SURGERY coz, in my opinion a PROCEDURE is when I have a Pap Smear, Honey. *LOL*
Okay, so I didn't say all that to her, coz she is a Sweetheart, Young and trying to be Technical about what THEY call shit. *Smiles* I was thinking, this is his ICU Nurse, she seems a little bit a Bimbette? So, I merely Smiled and said, Yeah, but, he was Minutes from Dying, Right? Yes, she admitted... so it was an Emergency that was Life Threatening no matter WHAT we Call it. She had to be in Agreement about that. Surgery -vs- Procedure is Semantics and rather like, is it Tomato or To-mah-toe?
While all Surgeries ARE Procedures, I do understand that not all Procedures are Surgeries and the Invasiveness, Risk Factors and Recovery Time is the Medical Criteria. And, they did have to break the Skin to get IN there, and he was Inpatient and had it done in an Operating Room under Anesthesia, and not in some Outpatient Clinic using a Local, so it's not like he just had a Tooth pulled. He's gonna be Hospitalized for Days and was in ICU after it. Operating Techniques were involved.
Anyway, I forfeited my Need to be Right, since, I didn't wanna argue with a bubbly Twenty-Something Year Old the Age of my Grandchildren who had a squeaky high pitched Voice that makes taking her Seriously a bit comically hard. It was like she'd just sucked a Helium Balloon, poor thing, and she was so Pretty and so Nice, that it just was kinda tragic she has a Cartoon Character Voice as her Real Voice! Think how Mike Tyson the Heavyweight Boxer's Voice doesn't match his Appearance as a Tough Guy. I didn't expect that Voice to come out of that Girl... and then she's trying to be Serious, and "School" me, so, it just Amused me. *LOL*
I wanted to be appreciative and Thankful that she's Serious about taking such good Care of The Man for us and being all Technical and shit, yet, the Bimbo Vibe was Strong in this one. *LOL* The Son was Smiling at me so I know what he was thinking immediately. When she did leave the Room after tending to his Dad, he said, "No matter how Hawt a Gal is, or how Nice, or how Experienced at her Career, I couldn't get past that Voice, Mom. Or take her as Seriously, even if she were highly Intelligent and a Trained Professional, as I'm sure all ICU Nurses are. It sounds so Bimbo-ish and like the Voice of a total Airhead. At least she wasn't Blonde too." *LMAO* I know, how Judgmental are we by a Voice, Right? *LOL and Shame, Shame*
We didn't visit him long so as not to tire him out, he was looking more robust but was still very confused about what all had happened the Day Before. I think it was all rather a blur to all of us really coz it was so hairy, such a long touch-n-go kinda day fraught with intense upgraded Crisis!!! The Young Prince indulged in some Retail Therapy via Amazon Haul, which, has Deals that are unbelievable and Free Shipping. He got this Vest, Tie, Handkerchief and Cufflinks for only Ten Bucks. I know he and Princess T often order from Shein or Temu too. I really like the Outfit on him, it's Dressy without being too Dressed Up. He looked very Handsome in it and it's definitely got Swagger Appeal to the Look. Now that he and Allen aren't together I notice he's gone back to Dressing more Fashionable, whether Presenting as a Male or a Female. Allen was a Gay who dressed more like a Straight Man. ie: He needed Help with Fashion and Style oftentimes. *LOL*
We Dressed Allen for The Grandsons Wedding, coz he would have been Clueless on how to look most Handsome. *LOL* I took The Son out for Brunch, we both Needed the indulgence of a Meal Out, it has been a very tough couple of Days, to be sure. Comfort Food and nice Ambiance really are uplifting and they had a new "First Watch" Restaurant near the Hospital that I hadn't been to since they opened. There's one closer to Home near the Hospital closer to here too and we Love it, The Son had never been to one before.
They also have one Downtown near St. Joseph's Hospital too in the Heart of Phoenix, they tend to build them near Hospitals I've noticed. They are madly Popular, great Food, great trendy Atmosphere, trendy Young Staff working there. I think their prices are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of the Food. Their Caramel Crunch Iced Coffee is Sublime. I had one of their Hashes and The Son had some Chimichicken Burrito that is New.
I myself slept like a Baby last Night coz No. 1, probably from 12 Hours at an ER and Surgery Waiting Room Marathon... No. 2, no more Sleeplessness due to Heavy Feelings of Bad Premonitions and waiting for it to actually happen. The Waiting for something you have ongoing Predictions, Premonitions or Intuitions about is the hardest part of having them really. You know it's coming and that it's gonna be Bad, but the Timing is never particularly specific, at least not for me when I have them.
I only ever know if it's really close to happening or further off so that Time can be more on your Side to prepare for it, that's all. My Brother called me from Cali and scolded me for not telling him I was having one, coz he has them too and Understands so wouldn't mock it or downplay it. He was more upset I didn't Trust him with the Premonition and Intuition about something this Important involving Family. Well, you got a LOT going on too Bro', so, I didn't wanna burden you with it. He's got his own Surgery coming up again soon and is preparing for another Morphine Pump implant, the old one malfunctioned a long time ago and it's been over a Year long ordeal to get a new one approved and scheduled.
He feels he could have helped me tho' to decipher the whole thing, and he probably could have. Especially when I mentioned it was a bunch of Hearts, Sacred Hearts, Valentine's Hearts, broken Hearts, Jesus Touching His Heart!!! I couldn't make sense of it, so it was confusing to me, but my Brother said he thinks he would have figured it had SOMETHING to do with THE Heart, and of it being of a Person Close to the Heart. I KNEW the Person it equated with, being The Man, and possibly even Death... just not the Message was getting thru to me in a way I put together until it was actually happening, I don't know Why? Sometimes Clarity is delayed and comes later... it's not unlike not 'Getting' a Joke right away, is the best way to describe it.
Coz it seems so Obvious now... Hindsight being 20-20... and it seems like I should have had some Clarity to the Messaging of it! But, in my defense I had a LOT going on besides The Man, and even contemplating his possible Death... plus very little good Sleep, so those side distractions involving other Crisis with other Loved Ones... and the State of the World right now... was making my Focus very scattered and spread really thin. As an Empath your Energy can be drained by the Energy around you, to where it's depleted and weaker.
I Promised my Brother that if I have any more, I will for sure keep him in The Loop, he always does when he has his. Our Family has Hereditarily had these for Generations now so we are very matter-of-fact about them regardless of Skepticism by most. If you don't wanna heed a Warning I would give you, that's on you then. To be less prepared or protected then when it happens, or that you didn't even try or attempt to avoid it, if indeed it is one of the actual Avoidable ones and Why you were given the Warning for me to pass along to you. I've had numerous folks be given a Warning I was compelled to Receive and pass along to them, say they sure do Wish they'd taken it Seriously and not thought it to be foolishness and mocked it, so just brushed it off as mere nonsense.
The Daughter and Mando are visiting The Man right now so she called me coz he didn't remember that The Son and I just visited him in ICU this Morning!!! *Le Sigh* They have him on good Meds, plus his Dementia, so he was loopy and kinda spacy during our visit. So, I'm not exactly surprised he forgot we'd already been there to visit him Today. But, then I could hear him asking her when I was coming again then, when she told him, Dad, they already visited you this Morning, before you got up to a Room.
It was when they were actively moving you to a Room so they left and said they would come back later once you were more situated and had eaten something. "Oh", I heard him say, then ask when I was coming again? *LOL* And, would I bring Snacks, coz he's not on a restricted Diet so he can have them. *LMAO* So, it's not that he's eager to see me, he's eager for me to bring Snacks. *Winks* And mebbe to see me a little bit? *Bwahahaha* I don't even take it Personally, it's how he just is now and I accept that and find the Humor in it really. If he's got NCIS or Hawaii Five-O on the TV there, and then his Snacks from Home, it will be like Home Away From Home to him and his Routine won't have been all that Interrupted and Disrupted. And all will be Right with his World and he'll not be giving them Grief to come Home prematurely.
I want to ensure he's actually Stable and Healing properly before he's shuffled back Home coz I don't Need more Crisis and Emergency Medical shit playing out. I'm pretty spent on the back to back and Upgraded Crisis here at The Asylum playing out nonstop lately, it's exhausting. I'm not fully Recovered from one before the next one hits and drains me completely. It's not how I want or intend to spend my Days of alleged "Retirement and Golden Years", you know? *Eye Roll* The Young Prince just had a bunch of Groceries delivered from Amazon Prime via I think a Wal-Mart or something... they were fast and brought it right to the Door. He Hates to shop... coz... Peopling is difficult for him... and Shopping in particular is overwhelming when he's Psychotic. So he'd rather, like his Sister, whose Anti-Social too, do Shopping this way. They'd rather never have to leave the House.
I'm the complete opposite in I enjoy Shopping, even if I'm not even Buying anything. I find Grocery Shopping particularly Zen and don't mind doing it European Style, meaning more often than the Average American does their Grocery Shopping. Mostly coz I buy a lot of Fresh and Perishable items, so doing it frequently ensures less waste and more Freshness. And I like to do mine either really Early or really Late at Night, just as they Open or just before Closing. Deals abound at Closing and as they Open the Shelves are well Stocked. And... less Shoppers... and, I find Staff tend to be friendly at the start of their Shift and as they're ready to get off Work and call it a Day. Most will tell you how glad they are that they're ready to go Home and so interactions are personably pleasant as you come into Agreement about Yay, you get to go Home soon, me too! *LOL*
Most get used to you being a Regular at Opening or Closing too, and so long as you don't keep them Over, they're Cool with the Late to Closing Shopper who gets out of there on Time. I'm not that annoying Shopper who rushes in just under the Wire and then makes everyone stay Late coz the Customer doesn't have their shit together or any consideration. Plus, for some reason, Employees where ever I do go always seem to Like me. Becoz I do always interact pleasantly with all Staff, and, I never have been a Pain in the Ass kind of Customer, I think most who are IMO are intentionally that way, and I want to Treat everyone like I'd want to be Treated. People respond favorably to that, by and large. I don't know how anyone expects to be Treated Well when they don't Treat other People Well?
Just got back from visiting The Man, he was funny, he's up in his new Room watching an Old Patrick Swayze Movie he really likes and has seen Dozens of times, so my visit is interrupting his Show. *Winks* He see's I brought the Snacks he asked for, digs thru the Four and picks some Ritz Bitz with Cheese, and starts devouring them rather quickly. Saying, you don't have to stay now if you don't want to!!! WTF, Honey, I JUST got here!!! I hadn't even sat down yet!!!!!! I came to see you coz you asked The Daughter when would I be coming back?! So, by now he's quickly downed The Ritz Bitz Personal Size Bag, hands me back the other Three Snacks and the empty Bag and says, you better take these with you coz we'll get both of us in trouble, coz they have put me on a Restricted Diet now!!! WTF!?! You tell me this NOW, after you ate a Bag of forbidden Contraband!
Yeah, he tells me this AFTER he eats all his Ritz Bitz, and now wants me to sneak off quickly with the Evidence that he's violated his Dietary Restrictions and implicated me now!!! Nurses by then are coming in with new Dressing for his Wound and I Exit quickly, Stage Left! *LMAOROTF* I was just The Mule... obviously!!! And I'm thinking, you Motherfucker!!! *Bwahahahaha* And I'd said, before the Nurses showed up, well, when The Daughter called she said you weren't on a Restricted Diet, so I could bring you Snacks coz she had brought you just a Candy Bar. And he says, Yeah, she didn't know either and so she got in Trouble for it when they caught her!!! *OMG, he's so sneaky BAD, they probably thought we're TRYING to Kill him?! LOL* So when I got Home and told the Kids, they thought it was hilarious... sounds just like Dad/Grandpa!!!
Oh, and the other thing he said when I told him, well, at least you've been Upgraded, is... well, they Downgraded me again coz somehow my Wound busted open!!! I think it was when they transferred me from my ICU Bed to this one? I dunno, sometimes he doesn't behave and be Still when they tell him to coz he Forgets, so, quite likely he did it moving around too much or trying to get out of the Bed... so... they'll probably have to say he's a "Risk" just to be on the Safe Side. I saw on some Old Folk's Doors they had "Risk Factors" Posted, like "Fall Risk", "Wander Risk". One frail Old Black Lady with longer Dreads than mine kept wanting to come in our Room! And they'd have to herd her back telling her she's not allowed to Leave her Room or be out of Bed. I'm sure she keeps them hopping and she had that Vacant Look a lot of those with Advanced Memory Care Issues tend to have on their Faces, Bless her.
They had another White Older-Middle Aged Woman from DOC there with her buff Young Male Security Detail Guard Assigned to her. I overheard her telling him about her Crime, she'd Shot and Murdered some Guy, and was talking about it rather matter-of-factly like it was the most Normal Conversation to have. And she was telling him she might have got away with claiming Self Defense only after Shooting him, she didn't call for Medical Attention for him, since he was still Alive at that time, or Dial 911, she just left him there... and he Died! And she didn't turn herself in, so had to be caught. Yeah, that'll do it and definitely not Fly as a Self-Defense Plea. *LMAO*
She looked so benign and harmless, and Friendly, you wouldn't even have a Clue she could be or was dangerous and caught Murder Charges for being a Cold Blooded Killer. And very jovially telling this Story with no hint of remorse or regrets about what she'd done, any of it... just mebbe that she foolishly got caught by leaving the scene of her Crime and not reporting she'd shot someone, or Why. If you met her on the Streets you'd think, Nice Friendly lady in her late 50's, doesn't Look Psycho! Only her Orange DOC Jumpsuit was the Dead Giveaway she was there on Medical Emergency from the Department Of Corrections and Handcuffed to her Bed!!! *LOL* I'm thinking to myself, Dude, be vigilant with this one, and don't underestimate her, she's schmoozing you to catch you Off Guard and if she gets to your Gun, you're another Body Count! Any large Urban Hospital is gonna have quite the Human Sideshow, that's for Sure.
The irony being, the Boyfriend doesn't get jealous when Timmy wants to go do something with Matthew, whose also Gay, and part of The Three Musketeers Trio, but feels more threatened by the Relationship Timmy has with Princess T! *LOL* And my Granddaughter thinks that's Funny coz she has a Boyfriend she's had for over Two Years now and Matthew is still Single. *Winks* Anyway, Timmy has been with his Mr. Wonderful for a long time now too, I did meet the Guy once, seemed Nice, very Tall, Dark and Handsome, very limp Handshake tho' and when any Guy, Straight or Gay, gives me a limp Noodle Handshake, it usually indicates to me a chink in Character. I know, Superstitious, but, has always been pretty damned accurate. Princess T does not like Timmy's Boyfriend, nor does Matthew. But, Timmy & Matthew do know her Boyfriend Rusty and like him, they know he's a Good Guy and very Good to her.
And Rusty isn't the least bit jealous of her Gay Boy Posse, coz he's known all Three of them since Jr. High School and knows they're Good Guys who are very Protective of her and enjoy her Company platonically. Rusty isn't an extrovert and neither is Princess T, so he knows she'd never go out and do some of the Fun things she enjoys doing with her Gay Boy Posse if she didn't have them to go do that kind of thing with, that he doesn't do. The Extroverted Stuff where she boldly dresses up and goes out to Events, all Three of them just to be Seen. *Smiles*
With Rusty, well, Bless his Heart, she dresses way down usually and super Casual, becoz he doesn't fixate on how she Looks at all and that's why she really gets along with him. She's not interested in Guys who just think she's Pretty and aren't substantive about Relationships. She rarely likes a Guy just coz he's Handsome, she says those are the ones you can't Trust coz they tend to be Players. She's not Wrong. And to all the Gorgeous Men out there, can you Honestly tell us you WEREN'T? Never, ever? *Winks and Nods* You see, a Beautiful Woman could be, or definitely won't be, it's at least a 50-50 chance that her Looks don't dictate her Character and she won't be Playing you.
And, if you are a Gorgeous Man and are the exception, well, good on you. But it is very likely many Women passed you up becoz of this Rule you claim to be the exception to. *Bwahahahaha* Anyway, The Young Prince, as Fabulously Gay as he is, and being openly Trans at least half the time Presenting as a Female, still has so many very good looking Women who have really liked him and wanted to have a Relationship with him. So, he knows that he could Date Females and he knows which Women he'd be attracted to in that way. He has told me it's easier for him to have Relationships with Women than with Men coz he's more like a Women so understands Women better than Men.
And he said something quite profound the other day, that when he turned 25 he felt like more Testosterone kicked in coz he felt like a Man for perhaps the first time in his Life!!! Since Childhood he's felt more like a Girl, and had more Girlish Features even when Presenting as a Male. So people always mistook him for being a little Girl or a Young Woman. He couldn't grow Facial Hair, but knowing he's part Indigenous he figured it was due to that, and it could be. The Son was in his 30's before he could grow Facial Hair and it still doesn't look right when he grows it.
But at 25 The Grandson suddenly could grow some too, it's sparse, a Post Menopausal Woman could grow more *LOL*... but first time he's HAD to shave and sometimes didn't and did look more Masculine, was able to build Muscle easier, didn't mind looking more Masculine either. So he's Working Out with Weights now to sculpt more of a Male Physique, coz he is very Slender and Lean Naturally. Even when he'd Work Out with Allen, whose a Muscle Head and Big Powerful and Muscular Guy, he wouldn't usually build bulk Muscle like most Men do. He'd just end up real Strong, but still Slender.
So, we were joking about it when we had that conversation coz he was like, wouldn't it be interesting if I suddenly turned into a Man in Middle Age? *Bwahahahahaha* Interesting would be the proper Word right there! *LMAO* I think he may always have an Androgynous way of Being tho', even if Physically he became more Manly looking? Just a hunch, since, when I hang out with The Young Prince it's no different than me hanging out with his Mom or his Sister, or any other Woman, definitely different than hanging out with The Son or The Man and any other Man. And he can be such a fucking Diva and he knows it... way more of a Diva than even his Mom and his Sister are... and they are definitely certified Divas. {ie: A self-important Person who is temperamental and difficult to Please.} *LOL* Yep, that's all Three of them, for sure!!! *Smiles*

ReplyDeleteI'm glad someone sees it the way I do coz she was a little condescending about calling it a Surgery, and it has to do with the Heart, and a near Death Experience, so to me a Procedure is an elective, this was not.
