Looking Forward To Fall

 Bringing the meteoric rise in Blog Reader Stats per Post to the attention of The Land meant some other Bloggers checked too.  And yep, for whatever the reasons, Views have spiked considerably, and we know not Why coz nobody is doing anything different on their Blogs or Post Topics to warrant such increase in numbers of Views.  Does it mean AI is now Reading our Posts and absorbing all the information/data, who knows?  I used to get some Bot Comments, not hardly at all now, but I know Bots are tied in to everything these days, you almost can't get a Human on the Phone anymore, it's mostly Bots Taking Calls or Making the Calls. 

 I've even had some mild suspicions about certain Blogs being AI generated by Non-Humans, but, they could just be Humans who seem to be Robotic in how they Write and even Respond?  *LMAO*  Wouldn't it be Weird as Hell to be thinking you met a Blog Friend who was another Human Being and they were just AI?  I know they exist coz the Media has covered folks who actually think they've fallen in LOVE with their AI generated "Person"!!!  That's a Bridge too far, but mebbe they just have trouble maintaining Relationships and gave up on Peopling?  Shrug.  To each their own, whatever floats that Boat for them I guess.

Anyway, I thought about how Meh I felt all day Yesterday.  Even when I was out and about finally doing something that should have been a lot more enjoyable to me than I Felt.  I really have been out-of-sorts, I almost can't even go into The RV Garage Mahal becoz I get so completely overwhelmed by how much stuff I have yet to Curate and try to Edit, Purge and relentlessly Downsize.  Have you ever looked at something again and it seems to have grown?  Well, that's how Cargo is looking to me now, even if nothing has been added, it looks like it grew anyway!!!  The Daughter cracked me up when she saw how Anxious it made me and said, "Well, Mom, it's almost DONE!"

And I just started Laughing hysterically, like I'd gone Mad, looking around and said, "Yeah, that's what's Terrifying!"  And she had to look around and begin Laughing Maniacally too, coz, God Damn, it's a LOT to take in Visually all at once in a cavernous Space that's chock full!  How did this look like Nothing in the McManse?  And I had so much MORE there, I divested myself of literally Flatbed Truckloads, mostly of the largest items, before we even Moved!!!  But Smalls can look like SO MUCH... well, it IS, SO MUCH!!!  

Too Much to LOOK the way I Need for it to LOOK so that it does NOT overwhelm me in the Visuals at least.  If it looked Styled, everywhere, then I'd be Golden.  If everything had Placement, I could Handle it.  But, we're not there yet, and if she actually Believes we're almost DONE, I'll have to become an Immortal before we get to where I NEED it to be!  Granted, I got plenty of Inventory to Sell Off, so I won't run out of Merch anytime soon for our Showroom and Locked Case, that's for damned sure.  So, now we only need the Economy to Recover enuf that Customers actually have Money to Buy Non-Essentials.  *Le Sigh*

I don't know I feel particularly Optimistic about that part of it.  Even Yard Sales lately haven't been well attended and folks aren't even spending practically nothing on what could be Needed and not just Wanted.  *Le Sigh*  The Daughter keeps having them anyway, she's putting so much Work into Hosting them with so little Reward that I wouldn't even bother.  She's got a whole Commercial Rack filled with nice Clothing for a Dollar, just to move it along coz I don't want those items for the Showroom.  Used to be at that Price Point folks would Buy in bulk, even if it wasn't their Sizes, to Re-Sell it themselves somewhere!  Not now.

Even the Big Chazzas have changed their Business Models lately due to the Shifts in Buying.  Different Times require New Strategies to adapt, improvise, and try to stay in Business.  I've got to Price some Inventory Today coz I Work Tonight, in Real Time it's a Friday.  I got to Sleep In the past couple Days coz Princess T is still off Work with the Flu and her Doc's Letter to her Employer said to give her 48 Hours not to risk being Contagious anymore, and getting anyone else Sick, so they did.  She's not looking any better but is Feeling slightly better with a couple Days on the Meds they prescribed.

She should do some follow-up with a Primary Doc but she doesn't have one yet.  Since she got too Old for her Pediatrics, we haven't gotten her in to my Doc to put her on the Patient List, but we will have to.  She HATES going to Doctors and has Extreme Anxiety about it, to where she goes into a Panic Attack at some point during a Visit, so, we're taking it slowly and easing her into needing to do it and get it over with.  Then at least she has a good Primary Doctor.  My Daughter and I have the same Doc and she's happy with her too, and a Schizophrenic is very suspicious and Paranoid about People.  So I know Princess T will like Dr. Stacy and feel at ease with her.

The Urgent Care Doc was a very sweet, nice, elderly Old Man that was Grandfatherly, so she liked him, but still had the Anxiety and Panic Attack about the IV she had to have.  He was so Kind about it tho', especially once I explained she has Anxiety Issues.   She imagined she could FEEL what it was putting inside of her, which was just hydration Fluids and nothing Alien Looking.  But, one would think she was the Victim of a Sci-Fi Horror Movie Experiment being done by Aliens, due to her intense reaction to having it done.  Easing her Anxiety took every Tool in my Toolbox of Easing Psychotic Episodes/Fears.  Just saying a Psychotic Episode isn't "Real" does not cut it, it's REAL to them and so will agitate them all the more if you Act like it's NOT.

I had her Text her Boyfriend Rusty all about what they were doing and he's got a Wicked Sense of Humor and got her to Laughing about it, which WAS Helpful.  Especially the Shot in her Buttocks, coz it WAS a big fucking long Needle and would have gone straight thru her Pipe-cleaner Arms!  So glad she couldn't SEE it or she would have gone Mental and Freaked the Fuck Out, so I kept her Attention!  Which is Why they needed a Glute Muscle instead, she couldn't see it coming AND it's her biggest Part, and it's not THAT Big either!   She's got the Hips and Ass of a Young Boy, she's pretty Lean and Angular in Build.  All 93 Lbs. of her. *LOL*

She's decluttering her Room while she's Home Sick, Purging some of her Plushies, the Pokemon ones will Sell quickly and she had some duplicates and larger ones taking up too much Space, so she's divesting herself of them.  Many still have original Tags so look like New Old Stock, and might be coz they're some from quite a long while ago, never played with, Tags not removed, pristine condition.  Anyway, if I can get moving and grooving, I'll be Pricing some Merch to take in with me Tonight.  Problem is, Space is limited and I won't Rent more Space.  And rotation is slow coz Business is slow.  The Turn on Merch is slow and not freeing up Space.

I may have to resort, for the first time ever since I began Selling at an Antique Mall, to take a bunch of Merch back Home to put in Storage and swap it out with Fresh Merch.  I don't like doing that, many Vendors do, whether it makes an impact or not I couldn't say, seems they have to do it so often it probably isn't worth all the Time and effort they spend in the doing of it?  And some of them even Pay for Offsite Storage, which, I never have for Inventory, erodes Margins so much I wonder if it leaves any room for Profits?  Storage Rental is Crazy expensive, so is Hiring a Mover.  I've only ever done Storage Rental while Moving and needing to Show a Home to Sell it, then I worked out Trades with the Rental Unit Managers.  *Winks*

You might recall how I did a Hood Hookup with Kyle at U-Haul Storage way back in like 2019?  While the Guys at Total Wine did the Hood Hookup for me too, and it was mutually beneficial to us all that Holiday Season.  *Winks*  No Money changed Hands, but, I got about $1,500 worth of Storage Rentals for what we swapped.   U-Haul at the time had lots of Vacant Units that weren't gonna be filled anytime soon, and it was the Holidays and I was Moving.  Total Wine needed to get rid of a bunch of Promo Liqueur Premiums they hadn't given out and were Boxes and Boxes filled, heavily, with it all.  Staff needed to put it all in Dumpsters and I needed Moving Boxes... so the Guys there said, will you just take it off our Hands, Boxes filled with Giveaways, and give it away for the Holidays, our Dumpster is full... it was a shameful Waste otherwise, I Obliged.  *Winks*

I've seen how Retailers often have to slash Product they're throwing out rather than Donate it to Charities and Worthy Causes.  Which is a shameful Waste and unnecessarily fills Landfills with what has Value and people could use and help the less fortunate or Fund Charitable Programs.  America is notorious for wanton Waste and it's disgraceful when there's so much need and lack in the World.  Anyway, it's a Pet Peeve and many Employees of these places abhor what they are required to do to what is being Wasted and thrown out.  I wouldn't wanna be any part of that either, it would go against everything I Stand for to destroy things, be it Food or Products, that People could use or benefit from.

We used to Glean Fields after Harvests for Food Ministries so that Food wouldn't be Wasted and laid to rot in the Fields.  Becoz there is Hunger in America, there is lack in America, the distribution isn't equitable for many things.  The chasm between the Haves and the Haves Nots is widening to where it's gonna become quite problematic and an Issue of great contention IMO.  But, anyway, I digress... back on Topic, I do not Rent Offsite Storage for my Merchandise.  If I needed to do that I'd just Donate it all and save myself the expense of Storing any of it.  Some Friends have Stored their stuff Offsite for Decades, the Cost is staggering!  It makes no sense to me, they don't even see it and pay a Fortune Weekly to Store what isn't being Used, Seen or even AT their Homes or Businesses!

I remember once my Brother and Mom had Shared a Small Storage Unit for over 9 Years, back when it was only $50 a Month.  But back then Fifty Bucks a Month was still spendy to Store Stuff they didn't Need and didn't Use for Nine freakin' YEARS at that Expense, do the Math!   Well, when we were putting Mom in Long-Term Care we decided to Clear Out that Unit and I fully expected it at least held either Valuable stuff or highly Sentimental Stuff they didn't have Space for at their Homes and would be worth that considerable long term outlay???  I mean, NINE Years of paying to Store it, in Arizona, when my Brother had lived in Cali for all that time and not brought any of his with him... one would think that, No?  I had a Truck so they asked me to Help and I blew a Brain Fuse when I saw what they'd been Storing in there all that Time and at that Expense for almost a Decade!

Mom had a Chest of Drawers that had a Drawer Missing, a TV that didn't Work, a Broken Virgin Mary Statue with the Head needing to be glued back on, a bunch of EMPTY Boxes, and stuff that if it was Curbside on Bulk Garbage Day, I'd 'Pass' on!!!   My Brother's crap in there with the exception of ONE item, a Telescope, was equal Crappola, and he GAVE the damned Telescope to me for The Young Prince as a Thank You for helping him clear out the Storage Unit of all that crap and haul it away in my Truck!!!  It was Mental!!!  We DONATED some of it, but most of it was Garbage, I made them just put it to the Curb for the next Bulk Garbage Day. 

 And I'm pretty damned sure a lot of people do that with Offsite Storage, they got Crap they're paying to Store for a long time making U-Haul Rich and themselves Storage Poor.  They could have bought all new better stuff with what they'd spent!  Anyway, I got Four whole things Priced to take in Tonight, a Vintage Globe, since I'd Sold Out of them in the Showroom and could always Sell more from my Private Collection I've amassed.  And, Two large Pokemon Build-A-Bear Plush Figures and a Kawaii Boba Pig Plush Figure, all of which should Sell easily, very popular items right now in high demand.  Princess T had Purged her Plush Collection of Desirable Pokemon/Kawaii Figures again, we're Selling them easily when not much else is Selling.

Of coarse her Mom dug thru the pile and Spirited some away into the 5th Wheel.  She's got a little Hoard going on in there of what her Daughter is Letting Go of now.  *Smiles*  I don't mind, we can Re-Purge later.  I don't have a lot of extra Space for much more anyway until we start Selling larger items and more items consistently.  I'm hopeful as Fall approaches Sales increase, but Tourists from abroad just aren't coming to America now on their Vacations like they used to.  Many are far too unhappy and suspicious of current Administration Xenophobia and I don't blame them for choosing somewhere else to spend their Money and their Vacations.  So it is mos def hurting the Hospitality and Tourism Industry of our State and others.  Our International Reputation is in a Free Fall with this Regime.
