They'd Rather Have Machines Than Humans

Princess T went off to Work Today in a decent Mood, even after being reprimanded for having too many Sick Days and being on Notice that if she has another one, she's likely being Fired for poor attendance.  It's terrible that anyone with serious Health Issues has to have that added strain and stressor put upon them by an Employer, when it's not anything they can Control and is a legitimate reason to call in Sick and miss Work.  We're so Production and Profit oriented now as a Society, that Employers treat people as if we're all just a disposable asset or a liability to get rid of if we don't Serve them like we're fucking Machines.  They'd rather have Machines than Humans, which is why they're pushing out AI so rapidly.  They just replace Broken Machines or Broken People, as if they're one in the same.

Okay, Moving On... since, you just have to and I'm Praying my Grandchild can hold onto her Job coz she works very hard at being the best Employee to her Employer.  But, her Health complexities are what they have always been since Birth and I knew it might become a barrier to Employment for her despite her excellent Work Ethic.  They do commend her on being one of their best Employees they even have, so why they'd still wanna Fire her is a Mystery to me?   They have a high turnover of shitty Employees, they told me they've never had someone so Young as her be so efficient, productive and have such a strong Work Ethic.  She's been assisting me at the Antique Mall since she was only 5 Years Old and has been a hard little Worker since she was able to Walk!  Seriously, at Age 2 she'd help me with stuff voluntarily and could do most things better than some Adults, as a mere Toddler, no brag, just Fact. 

She was so Rules Oriented, even as a Small Child, that she'd make up her own Rules for herself!!!   *Bwahahahaha*  She didn't think I had enuf Rules and she liked having Rules, go figure!!!   *LOL*   I recall at Toddler Age she'd come up to me with something rather benign she found around the House and tell me I shouldn't let her around whatever it was coz it was 'Dangerous' and could 'Hurt The Baby'!!!  *LMAOROTF*  I'd deadpan, "Oh, are you thinking of Hurting yourself with it then?"  She'd look at me like I was a Moron and SHE was the Adult, say No, but that it COULD Hurt someone her Age, so, we should probably put it up somewhere Safer or get rid of it.  *LOL*   She still is my "Driver Passenger Police" as a Passenger in my Vehicle and remind me of every Driving infraction I might be making.   So I know she'll be a Safe Driver when she Learns to Drive, albeit a Neurotic one.  She is critical of how all her Friends drive too.   *Bwahahaha*

She will critique your Work if it's not up to Par, becoz she is a very Type A Personality about things being done Just So.   She is rather a Perfectionist and puts more pressure on herself to do everything Perfect.  Which is why being a Special Needs Child and Proving herself, especially Academically, which was hard for her, was still important to her.  She has significant Learning Disabilities and is Aware of it and Ashamed of it.  I constantly hear about any of the Co-Workers she has that aren't up to the Job tho'.  *Winks*  Which is why she doesn't understand Why they'd want to get rid of her for just being a Sickly Human?  Being they never have to worry about her Job Performance, Production, Accuracy, Loyalty, and Dedication to what she's doing with Excellence every Day she's Working there for them?  Well, I told her it's their Loss if they let her go, they'll come to regret it.  She's worth far more than they pay her.

Well, so many Employers now are letting go of their best Workers so I don't even know what to say about all that?   I used to run Three Major Departments for Financial Institutions and only kept my Best People, realizing their Value and what an Asset they were to me, the Clients, and the Employer.   Since we did the Fixer Work for Bad Loans, it was critical to have the best of the best Working for me.   Anyone who wasn't an Asset is a Liability, but you don't have viable Solutions when you're the one Creating the Problems.  You're either part of the Solution or part of the Problem.  Seems to me a lot of Businesses just aren't making good decisions on a consistent basis.   And aren't giving their Top Management the latitude anymore to have the Authority they need and will require to get the Jobs done in the most efficient and productive ways.  Just all the Responsibility with none of the Authority.

Hey don't give me all of the Responsibility with no Authority, I'll take a Hard Pass on that.  If you don't Trust me enuf to make Wise Decisions at the Top and have the Authority to do what's required, what the fuck do you even expect then from your Leaders or from me then in a Leadership Role?   If you're Leading and nobody is Following then you're just taking a fucking Walk my Friend.   If the Leadership are left impotent then you've just got a bunch of limp Dicks filling positions IMO, looking like a bunch of useless Dildos.  Okay, I said I was Moving On and I haven't coz I did have to Hold my Peace mostly, with the Grandchild, when she was Soliciting my Advice and so Upset about her Situation and dilemma at Work, coz I knew what I really wanted to say about it all wouldn't be Helpful.  *Winks and Smiles*  They knew when they were always asking me to have her apply that I said she had fragile Health, but, otherwise, was an Excellent Worker that wouldn't disappoint.  She's proven that to be True.

They said they'd work with her about any Need to take Time Off for her Health, and, they have to some extent.  It's Why we've been vigilant to provide abundant Documentation of Proof of Medical Care being provided and necessitated for missed days.  A good Paper Trail can be Helpful if things go Sideways at any Job or Career.  But, their Rules are Corporate and I do know the Posturing and Politics of the Corporate World only too well.  But, it doesn't mean I Agree with most of it and the Status Quo that is in place of most of Corporate America.  I think she'd be better off working for herself but Small Business Owners in America are in a struggle and the wealthiest Mega Corporations are taking over more all the time and the Billionaire Boys Clubs only Care about Profits and not their People.  Period.  Billions are Never Enough for those greedy Bastards to extend an ounce of Humanity towards those who MADE them Rich.

I do take some Glee when some of them lose Billions for their Bad Decisions, like the Ketamine King and Disney.  Fuck 'em, I'm glad they got Hosed and Spanked Hard Financially for what they did that wasn't Right, losing Billions.   I'm glad Donnie Two Dolls got Bankrupted so many times and has been a failure after another failure.  No matter how much Money he makes, I know he'll hemorrhage it like a Bad Accident again, and again, and again, he can't help himself, he blows thru Money like nobody before him ever has.  And anyone who Partners with him will have dire consequences from doing so, it's a Given actually, everything he Touches Dies and goes Tits Up.  Yet, folks keep throwing Good Money after Bad at folks like him who are a Consummate Con, and only good at Corruption, Lies and Deception, and yet expecting different results, go figure!?  

 He's only done Well at successfully Branding a Big Lie about who he is and how astute a Businessman he is, while Reading the Room quite well, to see whose the easiest Marks to Target next and what the next Long Con and Corruption Scheme might be?  Right now it's Bitcoins/Crypto and AI, folks will Work the Corruptive Angles on all that to their best Advantage, it's a Criminal's Wet Dream actually, especially left Unregulated and Untraceable.  Which, this Administration will ensure is how it stays, in order to manipulate it Criminally to their best Advantages and Clean Up Financially off it.  Lots of Dark Money will flow from other Bad Actors and folks will get Rich, very Rich.   Since, Crime does Pay, which is why so many indulge in it who are Criminally inclined and have done well by their Illegal Activities like he has for Decades now without any Real Consequences to stop him.  Anyone Honest and Noble he considers Suckers and Losers, he has no Respect for Good decent People.  Which is why he attracts the opposite kind of People.

This Morning I went to the Hispanic Grocer and found all the Halloween Candy we'll be handing out.  They have a Pinata selection that had some of our Family's favs and was more than enuf to hand out Halloween Night.  We're not big Candy eaters but these are Mexican Candies we all like so whatever doesn't get handed out will get eaten by us and not wasted.    I'm making a homemade Caldo de Pollo for Dinner in the Crockpot.  Smells Divine, it's basically a Vegetable based Chicken Soup with a Chicken Bone Broth Base.  I knew Princess T would Need some Comfort Food when she got off Work coz of all the High Drama there about attendance.  As it turns out they Fired her BFF Madison Today and nobody saw it coming!!!

Madison is an adorable Redhead in her 20's, Sweet, Efficient, knows the Job better than anyone, everyone Loves her, Co-Workers and Customers alike.   She's been there Four Years and was offered a Management Position that she had to turn down coz her Dad was in a near Fatal Car Accident and got Brain Damage and Physical Disability from it, and her Mom has Cancer, so she's Caregiving as well as working full time!!!  Thus, she's missed Work due to her obligations to the Disabled Parent and the Dying Parent and everyone knows that.   They apparently let her Work all day and didn't tell her she was being Fired!  So, it was a shitty way to let her go and Princess T was so upset about it.  Madison was responsible for Two high Production Jobs in the back and was the best Worker at those Two Tables.  They let her go without hiring anyone to replace her, so everything was cocked up back there Today!   And most New Hires wash out coz they can't meet Production Standards.

Princess T said if they were willing to Fire Madison, then nobody's Job is Safe coz she was a Superior Employee all around.  She also said every New Hire they've had all Year has not even lasted a full Month, so the turnover is high and they're perpetually Training people who won't even last or do a good Job.   So, Yeah, she definitely Needed some Comfort Food when she got Home.  *Whew*  I let her vent in the Truck on the way Home, she Adored Madison and looked up to her.  Madison had Mentored her and was Kind to every New Person to Teach them the Ropes patiently and with a Cheerful Attitude.  In spite of the Sorrows and Chaos in her Personal Life with both of her Young Parents, who are only in their 40's, she kept it Professional at Work and was always Smiling and Pleasant.   I'm sure on the Inside she wasn't as upbeat but you'd never have known it.  She'd Shared a lot of it with me knowing I was Caregiving and that The Man had Brain Damage too like her Dad now had. 

The Kids there at SAVERS always look out for The Man knowing he's got TBI and some Dementia.   He likes to wander around the Store and look at what he wants to look at and as long as he doesn't wander outside we let him have that Independence while Shopping.  He almost never wants to Buy anything, he just enjoys being out and about, also he knows all the Young People who Work there and they treat him like he's their Grandpa and they're fond of the both of us.  They call out our Names the moment we enter the Store and many come up and give us a Hug and tell us about what's going on with them.  They have a great Team of Workers that the Customers just Love, so Why Upper Management is Purging these valuable Young Assets to the Company is foolishness and very short-sighted.   Good Help is hard to find these days.  I'm Sad about Madison, I'll miss her Smiling Face and she didn't need this right now.

Of coarse The Orange Buffoon is bragging that Thousands of Federal Workers will be Fired while the Government is shut down.  They're of coarse trying to blame the Shutdown on the opposing side, they never Own their part in it.   They Create Problems on Purpose and then pretend to Solve the Situations they Created whilst blaming said Situations on everyone else.   The problem is, so many Americans are falling for it hook, line and sinker.   I don't think the Government will work efficiently with all the best People gone and replaced by Nepo Hires from MAGA World who aren't the least bit Qualified or Knowledgeable about any of it.  But, Moving On as America just falls apart by the Day...

So, onwards to Sweet Treats we'll be handing out to the Halloween Night Trick-Or-Treaters.  My Halloween Candy Selection on a large Rotating Silver Tray with Compartments looks quite Editorial.   And I'm also gonna fill up the Small Jack O'Lanterns and Skull Heads that are little Plastic Mini Candy Holders, the Kiddos can take their pick of a Candy and a Toy.  The Toys for now are in those Glass Jars, but, on Halloween will move to a Plastic Bowl or Silver Punch Bowl.  I don't know what The Daughter did with my big Silver Punch Bowls, I'd rather use one of those so I'll have to ask her.  The Old Silver gives it a Miss Havisham Haunted Mansion Vibe I think.  *Winks*  We don't know how many Door to Door Kiddos we'll get Trick-Or-Treating?  Each Year we've had more and more, guess Word gets out we're worth the trek into the Mini Farm Community?  *LOL* 

I have the overage in a big faux Jadeite Plastic Bowl, most of these are Tamarind and Chamoy flavored Mexican Candies.   The G-Kid Force put Chamoy on everything.  *LOL*  It has the perfect combination of Salt, Spice, Sour and Sweetness and often layered with other Fruit Flavors like Mango, Cantaloupe and Watermelon.   And Tamarind doesn't significantly spike Blood Sugars.   Chamoy is made from Pickled Fruit and is a complex Flavor Profile so I can't explain it to you.   The closest is if you have had an Asian Sweet & Sour Sauce or Jam, it's similar.   It's Primary Flavors are from Dried Fruits like Apricots, Mangoes, Prunes & Plums, Chili Peppers like Ancho or Guajillo, Lime Juice, Hibiscus Flowers {called Jamaica}, balanced by Sugar and Spices, for a nice Sweet Heat & bold Tang.  There's a Hawaiian version called Li Hing Mui, a Salty Dried Plum Powder sprinkled on Foods too like Pineapple.

This time of Year I LOVE my Algorithm Feed they send me on The Book of Faces, they clearly Know me real Well.  *Winks*  Especially the Creative Food Porn and Halloween Vignettes for this Holiday Season.   These Deviled Egg Pumpkins are Adorbs and would be so easy to replicate without having to be a Culinary Jedi.  I like doable Food Art.  *Winks*   And the Creative Beings that come up with some of these are just Brilliant.  My Dad, who was a self-trained Master Chef, did Food Art all my Life so I grew up seeing him Creating such Masterpieces out of Food.  My Welsh Nanna also did Cake Decorating as a Side Hustle and made the most Ahhmazing Wedding Cakes with Food Art all over them. 

 There wasn't a Flower she couldn't replicate out of Royal Icing and she'd make Fruit out of Marzipan.  She and my Dad would Create their Icing Flowers on top of Eggs and put them in the Fridge to Set, so it looked so Cute, all these Eggs with Floral Hats on in the Egg Holder of our Fridges.  I looked Online to trawl the Interweb to see a similar caliber of Royal Icing Flowers comparable to what Dad and Nanna made, the above is quite similar quality.  I noticed most Modern Artisans use Parchment Paper rather than setting them up using an Egg to hold each individual Flower in the Fridge.   My Family often improvised their techniques themselves so perhaps it wasn't as common as I thought it was?  *LOL*  I liked the Marzipan Creations my Nanna made and she'd always let me have some while making her Cakes for Clients that they'd Decorate.  Nanna's Marzipan Fruit Creations looked very much like that lower pix of some.  She and Dad were quite the Artists.  Nanna also was an Entertainer, she Danced, Sang, Acted on Stage before TV was Invented.

With the Caldo de Pollo I usually put loose Corn in it as well as having Corn Coblets, coz, The Man can't eat Corn on the Cob but he wants some Corn in his too.  I use whatever I have on Hand for the Vegetable parts, this day I had Potatoes, Baby Carrots, Mustard Greens, Zucchini, Mexican Grey Squash, Nopalito {Prickly Pear Cactus Paddle}, Chayote, Sweet Corn, Cilantro, Sweet Onion, and Celery.  Chicken with it's Bones intact, Chicken Broth and Chicken Bone Broth, Bay Leaf, and then the Caldo de Pollo Spices, which you can Buy in Powder form at the Hispanic Grocers.  It turned out so good there's really not gonna be leftovers even tho' I made a huge Crockpot full, the Kids had Company over, so we had extra Young People to Feed and they Loved it.   There was also Spanish Rice and Fresh Flour Tortillas made this Morning at the "Food City" Bakery.  In the Produce Section in the Mornings they have huge Mixed No Waste Bags of various Produce for 99 Cents to $1.50 a Bag, so, that's where I got all my Soup Veggie Ingredients by Buying Two Bags of the Miscellany, quite a haul and diversity for only Three Bucks.

Amber had come over and said she did find out about her Daughter being Pregnant, coz, she's already showing so Julissa and TJ couldn't keep the Secret for long anyway.  Her Daughter is such a tiny little Sprite that she was bound to Show right away.  Of coarse Amber's whole Family aren't Happy about it, but, they took the same stance I do, both are Grown and will have the consequences thus of their decisions.  All had talked to Julissa last time TJ got her Pregnant, her Mom got her some Birth Control if she was gonna be Sexually Active, but, she doubts this wasn't intentional and not unplanned by her Daughter.   She's in her later 20's now and probably wants to have a Child regardless of the Age of the Child's Father.   Amber also questions whether TJ actually has Cancer at all?   She feels Rob does, but she thinks perhaps TJ is making it up?  I don't know and couldn't say, it wouldn't be something I'd fake, that's for sure.  I would Hope he does not have it, or, if he does, he recovers, that's all I can say about anyone who may have it.

I got a Cute little Felt Ball Decoration that also says WICKED in Wooden Letters, from what little the GOODWILL still had of Halloween Merch.  I just Love the Felt Ball Decorations to hang up around the House or put on Christmas Trees, they're so Cheerful and Colorful.  I have some for Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, for Christmas, and just Jewel Tone ones and Pastel ones to keep up any time of Year to Decorate with.   This one has the Cutest variety of Felt Balls on it and it was the only one they had, New Old Stock, originally from a "TJ Maxx", still Boxed, still with original Price Tag on it.   The Letters are covered with Purple and Black Glitter.   Hung it up on the Antique Fireplace Mantle in the Livingroom.
