You Can Take That To The Bank

 

I've been trying to think of more Fluff to put into my Posts so that they won't be so Heavy and Serious.  But, things are so Serious that I find myself unable to just pretend like they're not and that everything is Fine, when it's not.  I got a lot on my Mind lately and it does impact how I Blog and what I just need to Journal about in my Posts.  There's not a lot of frivolous stuff going on to Write about.  I'm really reaching when I do Write about something less Serious now.  That's why you'll be getting so much of the Holiday Events in these current Posts, it's the only Fun thing going on right now, as creepy as Halloween can be, it's more Uplifting that America's current Dark Reality!!!   How tragic is that really, when Imaginary Horror is less horrific than what's going on in Real Life now!?  Less scary than what we're actually facing?!  That we have Real Life Monsters loose and infiltrated high into Government and making all the important decisions!!!??

I did initially have the Intention of Pricing some Merch to take in to Inventory before my Shift started, but, now I can't be bothered.  Lately my ambivalence is hard to overcome and putting the Work in when there hasn't been much, if any, Reward, just makes me not want to bother really if it makes little Positive impact.  I want to just be on Retirement Time and free from Financial Worries or Pressures about the Future, that's all.  *LOL, Yeah, when I Dreams, I Dreams Big like that!  Winks*  The Son is BBQing Boar's Head Hotdogs and Hamburgers for Lunch, Amber came over with all the Hamburger Meat, so she'll be joining us for the Meal.  The Son Loves to BBQ and his Dad used to be the Grill Master before his TBI and Dementia, so he's now passed the Torch to The Son.  I'm glad someone likes doing it, BBQ has never been my Specialty or Super Power... but I sure like Eating it.  *Smiles*

The Daughter and Mando are doing the Irrigation, at least it came at a decent Hour this Rotation, it will end at 2:00 p.m. and we'll soon be on the Monthly Autumn Irrigation Schedule rather than the Weekly Summer one.  They suspend it for Winter and in Spring it's Bi-Weekly.   We got some E-Mails from our CPA about how The Big Beautiful Bill will impact our Taxes, they want you to Pay for a Consultation, but, not bothering, we'll have them just do it come Tax Time and how it is will just be how it will be, nobody has Control over it that are Regular Folk.  Only the Obscenely Wealthy don't Pay their Taxes, let alone a Fair Share, most Billionaires aren't paying any at all and how does that really Square with the rest of us shouldering an Unfair Burden of Taxation really?  

I'm fed up with the whole System, it's so Corrupted all the way to the Top, not that is hasn't been.  It's just more blatantly so now, and much worse, I have no delusions or illusions about it, I know it's Dirty and none of them has Clean Hands.  So long as the Corruption is profitable for those involved, I don't think there will be Change to eliminate it, they'll cover it up or find ways to allow it to continue.   LATER: Work went well, my Friend Crazy Ed works on a Sunday Night and he was happy I was filling-in for our Elderly Friend Rochelle.  We like Rochelle, but she's so Old that she's not much use on her Shifts, Bless her, I don't know why she's still working, she doesn't need to.  Anyway, it was busy, we'd had almost 800 people thru the Doors that Day.  Found out the Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse that TV had been going on and on about for Days, can't even be seen in the U.S.!!!  What!?  Did they think... we'd all go to Japan to see it?  *LOL & Deep Disappointment* 

The other Two folks working with us were Fill-Ins for people not showing up too, one was Named Steve, very nice Older Guy, the other was a Woman and I can't recall her name, but also a very nice person to work with and a newer Vendor.  So, a pleasant Evening, and our Showroom was actually quite tidy in spite of how busy the Mall had been this Weekend, Customers hadn't been messy or disrespectful of the Space and the Merchandise.  I hadn't brought in any fresh Merch coz I didn't bother to price any, haven't felt very ambitious or motivated lately to put a lot of effort into any of it.  Yes, I should, but, I didn't.  Perhaps when the weather Cools down some I'll get into it more coz I can then work out of the She Shed or The RV Garage Mahal doing Inventory?  I don't like doing it in the house coz it makes every space it's in messy and cluttered. 

I found out Crazy Ed actually lives not too far from us!  I had no idea, for some reason I thought he lived in East Phoenix and commuted a lot to our Mall.  He used to have Booths at some Eastside Antique Malls that were higher end, which is why I thought that, figured he lived nearer them?  It's only Today I found out he practically lives Walking Distance from where we live!!!   He said he drives by our House all the time when he goes to his Doctor, so I told him next time, drop by for a visit.  He'd visited our Two previous Properties, but has never actually visited this one yet.  We should invite him to the next BBQ now I know he lives so close by, coz he lives alone and I'm sure would like someone to Cook for him, he's been a Bachelor a long time now and is almost 80, so he's not looking to get into a Relationship, has been a Divorcee since he was in his 30's.

Quite a few of the Older Ladies like Ed, he's a good looking Man for his Age, with a nice personality and doesn't look almost 80, you'd think he was in his 60's still.  But, he said he's very stuck in his ways and thinks it would be difficult to be Married again or Share Space after living alone for so long, or even invest in a serious Relationship, he could be Right.  A lot of Single Seniors want to remain Single.  He helps a lot of the Widows out, he's always helping any of the Women with their larger items.  He helps me with any of mine, knowing The Man can't do it anymore, and Ed still moves big Furniture, he probably shouldn't at his Age, but, he does and still can.   If The Son or a Grandson can help me I have them do it, but Ed has a Delivery Truck and mostly Sells Antique Furniture, so he's always moving larger items.  One time he was delivering Two large Barrister Cabinets I bought at our Mall, when I lived in the McManse.

Well, we got to the House and the Mormon Missionaries had dropped by to Visit with The Man so I made them unload them and set them up in the house.  Eddie thought that was hilarious... and I'm like, well, they're Young Stud Muffins and on their Mission, so, this accounts as Good Works for them.  Plus we feed them when they come by, since, The Man was Raised LDS and he's told me most of those Young Boys are exploited when they go on their Mission and have to pay for everything, so, it's a financial hardship for many of the Families to send a Son on one, but, they do anyway.   The Man got Drafted and went to Vietnam before his Family could send him on a Mission, but his Older Brother went on one, I think somewhere in South America, but, can't recall where.  Some of them are sent all over the World and have to pay for all of it while there for 2 Years and without Pay!!!

Anyway, I Sold those Two Barrister Cabinets to some Industry Friends when we were moving from the McManse to here coz they were too large to pay to Store or Move.  They weren't the kind that come apart like the Antique ones do, so, my Friends Pauline and Victor bought them along with a bunch of my other larger Furniture I was Selling so that I didn't have to pay to Move or Store it all.  When we moved to here I'd Sold Off almost all our larger Furniture before the Move.  I still had Too Much in the way of Smalls, and still do, but not a lot of larger items to dispose of now.  I got enuf Smalls tho' to last thru Immortality in order to Sell it all.  *Le Sigh*  It can become the bane of my existence sometime to wade thru it and detach from enough of it now that I'm down to the really Primo items.  I've formed attachments to a lot of the Primo items I've spent a Lifetime Collecting.

Princess T is still being Sick, she's insisting on trying to go to Work, but I told her if they send her Home I'm taking her to an ER this time, I'm very worried about this.  She does see a Specialist and we've the Appointment but it's not until the 29th and in Real Time that's 20 Days away, she can't wait that long.  I'm scared she's been exposed to something she might have ingested and they haven't picked up on in Tests yet?  Something tainted with an E. Coli or something?  There's so many foods you hear of being recalled lately that I do wonder about our food safety and with this Administration's cuts to Inspecting foods and testing Drugs, etcetera.   I just think that when you get lax with these important things you can put people at grave risks they're unaware of.

 

LATER: I did convince her to go to the ER by 5:00 in the Morning, they ran more Tests, we got Test Results back from the 2nd Urgent Care visit too.  All showed an elevated White Blood Cell Count but everything else came back normal, they're still thinking it's viral and not food poisoning.  They ruled out some more serious things, but, still, we have no idea what this is.  They gave her more Meds to combat the serious symptoms that are sidelining her, like the intense Nausea.  We got in right away coz at 5:00 a.m. on a Tuesday there was nobody in the ER until much later in the Morning, so, that was handy.  We still spent 5 Hours there, so missed Breakfast and she said she'd take me to Lunch instead.  She's off Work for the day but can go back Tomorrow if she's not still throwing up.  Hopefully the new Meds will relieve that Symptom better than the previous Meds for it?  

 

The ER seemed busy with folks with similar Symptoms so I still think there's something nasty going around that nobody is Vaccinated against?  If a Young Adult can get this ill with whatever it is, requiring Two Urgent Care Visits and an ER Visit in just Two Weeks, it could really take down an Elderly victim of it or a smaller Child.  And really run up Medical Costs, we're fortunate she still has her Medicaid provided by the Adoption Services for Special Needs Children with Title 19 Illness that covered by AHCCCS.  *Whew*  Otherwise she nor us could afford this much Emergency Medical Services and all the Tests they've had to run on her so far.   And with as many Millions of Americans that are losing their Medicaid Coverage with this Regime's cuts, what is to become of them now with NO Health Insurance Coverage when they get really Sick or Injured?!   Hospitals will not be reimbursed for Emergency Services they'll have to still provide or turn Patients away.

Anyway, I'm tired, coz I ended up waking up to her being physically Sick again in the wee Hours of the Morning, your "Mom Ears" pick up on things like that even in a Deep Sleep!  The Man is a very light Sleeper but can still Sleep thru that kind of thing, "Dad Ears" aren't as sensitive to Sick Kid sounds.  *LOL*   I woke him to tell him I was taking her to the Emergency Room, so he'd know what was going on when he woke up and we were gone and not be confused.  I got hold of The Daughter to tell her where we were so she could cover for me with her Dad.  The Son goes to Work at 3:00 a.m. so he was already gone.  I'll probably take a Nap after we have Lunch.  She wants to go back to "Wildflower Bread Co." coz that's actually been the only Food she's been able to keep down since this began.  We've tried lots of other things and she can't afford to lose much weight coz she only weighed 93 lbs. before she got Sick, now she's down to 90 lbs.!

  

I had finally Priced a bunch of Inventory last Night so might take it in to the Antique Mall later Today?   LATER: Nope, didn't have it in me to do it after a day spent in an ER, I even still have to pick up her Rx from the Pharmacy but will do it Tomorrow.  The Man has a VA Doc Appointment Tomorrow Morning, so that will be another day spent doing Medical shit.  *Le Sigh*  It wears on you, sitting in Waiting Rooms and Exam Rooms for Hours on end and you're not even the Patient.  *LOL*  Plus, Hospitals and Doc Offices are filled with Sick folks and Contagious ones and I'm only half Vaxxed coz of the ridiculous new requirements to have a Prescription to get the COVID Vaccine.   

I made inquiries everywhere and they all are now mandated to require a Prescription and you can't get in to see a Doc for over a Month now coz they're so Booked solid!!!   The fucking Season will be over before you can get Vaccinated at this rate and your risk factors sky high to end up getting it!    I almost Died the times I've had it before even Vaccinated, so I don't want to risk getting it Unvaccinated, the strains seem to be getting nastier as they mutate.   I foresee America having a preventable Pandemic this time around due to the negligence and intentional ignorance of his whole Administration.  I find it so hypocritical they're saying you have a right to make decisions about your own Body when it comes to Vaccines, but not when it's about Reproductive Health of Women.  Such hypocrisy is rampant with MAGA World tho'. 

I took a long Nap when I got Home from all of it, and slept clear into Late Afternoon!!!   I did have a nice Coconut Lentil Soup with Asian Salad that Princess T bought for me at Lunchtime.  It was a late Lunch and we hadn't eaten all day and Tuesdays I take my Weekly Ozempic Injection as well as my Lantus Injection and Diabetic Oral Meds, so on an empty Stomach that all makes for a Cocktail that isn't Fun until you eat something.  I didn't know how long we'd be at the Hospital tho' so I hadda take it all on an empty Stomach and just endure how crappy it made me feel.  I sat so long at the Hospital and they keep those ER's so Cold that I couldn't feel my Hands and Feet by the time we left!  Plus, they've made the ER Sections so Small per Patient now that they don't even have a Bed, just a Recliner and sliding Curtain between very closely packed Patients!!!  I just knew contagions were drifting around such a dense group of Sick people seeking Emergency Treatment!!!

In fact, the Young Hispanic Man put next to us, without the Curtain even being drawn between us, was so close we could have shook Hands and they had to Share a Table between his Recliner and Princess T's that they had to put their Pee Specimens on, each apologizing to the other!  We have Dark Gallow's Humor, so, when they wanted a Stool Sample and told the Grandchild how to Collect it, along with her Urine Sample, she said they gave her a Diagram of Lady Bits and Man Bits so even if you couldn't Read, you would know what to do!!!  *LOL*  And then, she couldn't take a shit coz she'd had nothing to eat yet, plus had thrown up anything she'd eaten for Days now.  So, she couldn't oblige and said she tried so hard she almost shot her Tampon out of her Puss.  *Bwahahaha, I Laughed so hard when she told me I almost pissed myself!*   She then took a Selfie of herself in the Recliner with an IV in her Arm and that above Sentence of the Shit Sample Story to her Gay Boy Posse... those Kids share the darndest things!  *Ha ha ha*

She found it hilarious that Matthew only found the Shit Sample part Funniest and not shooting Tampons out of your Puss!!!   I guess you do have to be a Woman to appreciate that part of it?!  *Bwahahaha*  I'm a totally inappropriate Gramma so told her not to start shooting Ping Pong Balls across the Room next... we were Laughing so hard we had Tears running down our Faces.  I had to make her Laugh coz she has extreme Anxiety about IV's and having Blood Drawn and that was the distraction she needed.  Plus, I was Anxious until Test results came back, but, both the Urgent Care and the ER came back with just the results of an elevated White Blood Count and not formal Diagnosis at all.  So, we'll have to rely upon the Gastro Specialist on the 29th to tell us more.  She just doesn't wanna be Sick anymore or miss enuf Work she might be Fired for excessive absences?  And I know her Employer really needs to know what this is for the safety of other Employees too!

She's so worried she'll be Let Go... but we convinced her that her Health is more important than any Job.   We always knew, with her fragile Health she's had all her Life, that it could become a barrier to Employment just as surely as serious Mental Health Illness is.  Most people with significant Disabilities, be they Physical and/or Mental, will face discrimination in so many ways in Society, it's not a level playing field at all, probably never will be either.   If you're not Healthy, if you're the wrong Gender or Sexual Orientation, if you're the wrong Race, you will face certain barriers, it's a Given.   She's already overcome a lot in her Young Life so I know she's a Warrior, but she gets tired of being so Sickly all the time when she takes good Care of herself and doesn't abuse her Body.   

She is Bipolar too and has Anxiety Issues so can't regulate Mood well, plus she has significant Learning Disabilities, so, it's not just the Physical Barriers she has had to overcome.  And now with ICE Racially profiling Hispanics to Target, she's always worried about that as well, she's Bright Skinned, but isn't White, and has a Hispanic Surname!!!  She's even more Worried for her Boyfriend Rusty, who is a Dark Skinned Hispanic and has at least one Parent whose a Mexican National originally too.  Princess T's Dad is a Mexican National and got deported not long after she was Born, so she knows how that goes once someone gets Deported, they can never Legally then get back into the Country even if they've been hard Working and Law Abiding or came originally on a Work VISA so entered Legally before the VISA couldn't get renewed or got revoked, for whatever ridiculous reasons.  They are Deporting folks here Legally that were Invited on Work VISA's that haven't even expired!  They've Deported American Born Hispanics too!!!  And Kids undergoing Cancer Treatments!!! 

Anyway, it all is so heinous that I can't even dive too deep into it all or I feel like I might implode with Anger about the Sinister direction our Country is taking and seems impotent or unwilling to stop!!!   I used to initially say we, as a Collective Nation, were Better than that, but, clearly we are not, or it wouldn't be happening and going on so long and worsening by the Day!!!   Sometimes even by the Hour, it's exhausting to get any News on any given Day now!!!   Three more Years of this is unimaginable to me, the Fatigue of it is going to cause extreme PTSD in those of us who aren't Supporting any of it and Fight it every way we conceivably can and will.   So, to offset and balance out the Post from the Heavy Topics shit, now for some Food Porn.  *Winks and Smiles*

This was the lovely Lunch that the Granddaughter bought for me, since I'd spent virtually all day in the ER with her since before it was even Daylight.   She does appreciate me always being there for her.  I had The Daughter look after her Dad for us while I was gone, he did good, didn't give her a hard time coz he was Worried about Princess T too and Anxious about having yet another Emergency visit to a Hospital, Three times now in less than Two Weeks!!!   And still, no formal Diagnosis about what is Wrong or a Treatment for it that is actually working!  They keep telling me if she doesn't get better or worsens, to bring her in again, but, how many times should you have to do that, it's not only expensive and inefficient, but stressful for Families, and scary too.  Her Anxiety was thru the Roof now about what might be Wrong with her?!   I'm staying Stoic and Calm so that it can keep her feeling like everything is gonna be Okay... but internally I'm Freaking Out now, I just can't show it.  Thankfully I'm good at being Stoic and Unemotional.  I handle Crisis without falling apart or being Emotional.

 

This Coconut Lentil Soup was good and so fragrant.  Princess T tasted of it but didn't like the Smokey flavor of the Lentils, it is an acquired taste Soup.  She had the Chicken Vegetable Soup instead, she likes Veggie Soups and would prefer they leave out the Meats, but they didn't have any Vegetarian or Vegan Options except for the Coconut Lentil, which was both Vegan and Vegetarian.  They are so short staffed there now too, since most of their Staff were Immigrants, that the Manageress has been having to help in the Kitchen, at the Registers and wait plus clear/Bus Tables!!!   We've known her for Years and she laments she's lost all her best and most Loyal Employees she's had for Years, including our Immigrant Friend Rosendo, who we have known since the G-Kid Force were Infants!!!  He always bought Princess T Bakery items out of his own Money and she Adored him.  He introduced us to his Mom when she came for a Visit from Mexico. 

 

We miss him and many of the people who Worked at various locations that now are gone, either the location has had to Close, or the Employees are now gone, mostly over Immigration Issues.  They are not being replaced by American Workers, that's for damned sure!!!  The Manageress of "Wildflower Bread Co." has wanted Princess T to work for her since before Graduation, but Princess T wasn't sure she was cut out to be a Waitress or a Cashier, definitely not cut out to Work in a Kitchen with high volume.  *LOL*  She'd consider it only if she lost this Job.  The starting pay would be slightly better, plus Tips, so it's something she knows she could fall back upon if needed and we know the Lady who Manages that location.  Anyway, clearly they were understaffed and overworked, even tho' Tuesdays aren't as busy as Weekends.  I can relate, we're understaffed and overworked at the Antique Mall most days now too, people don't want the Shifts, it doesn't pay enuf to Live on, and us Vendors aren't Paid at all, just Comped a Low Space Rent per Hour.

At the end of the Day Employees need a livable wage, so it's not like they won't take most of these jobs becoz they can't or wouldn't do SOME of them.  Tho' there are a lot they couldn't do, to be sure, like Migrant Farm Work, it's just that they couldn't Live on the Salary offered and with no Benefits either.  America will grind to a halt without an Immigrant Labor Force and prices will soar when you can't get Humans to do low paying Jobs where Industries have Historically exploited the Labor Force to make more profits for themselves, that's just a Fact.  And we better get used to that Reality and quit living in Fantasyland, coz it's already happening at warp speed and is gonna worsen, you can take that to the fucking Bank...
