Well, CVS hasn't called me when they received my Prescription to get the COVID Vaccine like they should have, so I'm going in Today to ask why they haven't and to get it. I should have had my Doc's Office send it to SAFEWAY where we got our Flu Vaccines, coz they give you 10% Off Coupons for your Grocery Shopping after you get a Vax from them. Oh well, if CVS isn't cooperative, that's what I'll do next, coz I AM getting fucking Vaxxed. Listen, I don't mind Dying, but I don't plan to intentionally Die horribly and Dying of COVID is Horrific and you will Die alone without your Loved Ones able to be around you. I almost did Twice, even fully Vaxxed and Boosted, so, I have no delusions it's intense suffering and suffocating to Death slowly and painfully, not a great way to Go On to your Afterlife!!!
The Covidiots who needlessly Died were Lied to and misled by who they chose to Trust, it was intentional Governmental negligence of epic proportions and Criminal IMO, the Blood was on their Hands. And I did know some Covidiots, and about 95% are Dead of stubbornly refusing to Believe CDC Experts instead of Faux News, Podcast Bro Shock Jocks, and a totally Mental President saying shit like shooting up Bleach and shining UV Light up your Asshole, I mean, SERIOUSLY!!! If any of that even sounded legit, you are an easy fucking Mark for any ridiculous Con going around that can deceive you with minimal effort, Natural Selection was at Work, that's all I can say about that. Only a Lucky few Survived their intentional Ignorance coz Data and Evident/Proof were out there if you could Critically Think on your own. I felt sorry for their Loved Ones who had to Mourn them and weren't Covidiots tho'.
I have Friends whose Elderly Parents Died of it becoz they got so Scared Off by the misinformation that was rampantly being spewed. Vulnerable Adults were particularly vulnerable to being exploited, they always are. It's why so many are targeted for Scams. After we turned 65 the Scam Callers were constant, so they have the Data of the Aging Population at their disposal and you are now a Target for Scammers. The Man would be vulnerable, he might not have gotten Vaxxed if someone was his Caregiver who was a Conspiracy Theorist or MAGA World Devotee. His whole Biological Family mostly are and I'm Surprised any of them Survived the Pandemic actually. Why it perplexes me is that they are all successful and usually intelligent people, so, go figure?! I can't comprehend it, the sway this Political Cult has had on so many folks.
Anyway, Moving On, the Political Scene is just too depressing to dwell on and go deep into the Weeds with. And, the vast majority of my Viewers and Supporters here aren't MAGA. Even in Real Life, I cut most of those folks loose and hold them at Arm's length. If I do know some that are still managing to stay vertical in spite of who they foolishly Trust and what they choose to Believe and Support, we're not all that Close, I'll be Civil and Cordial. I don't Hate you, but I'm all Friended Up enuf to swipe you Left too and not expose myself to your Toxicity and won't ever Agree with any of who and what you hold Hate in your Hearts for. It's less Political for me, coz I'm just not a Politically or Religiously Obsessed Human Being, it's more about what your Essence, your Character, your Value System, Sense of Decency and displayed Humanity, and your Moral Compass is... or what it is NOT... once Revealed it tells me volumes about you as a Person. Sidenote: The Above Heirloom Pumpkin is from Halloween Season LAST YEAR, not a bit of Rot and hasn't Dried out either!
I can Agree to Disagree with Civility, but who I'm Tight with must pass the Smell Test in those areas or we just won't be Close, and I doubt I'd Trust you either, Period. How you treat other Human Beings is important enuf to me to make me Question you if you're Hateful and don't extend basic Humanity towards ANY Group of other Sentient Beings for any reason you perceive justifies your Hatred. I don't want any of that infecting me and mine, there's enuf Decent folk out there to become Close to and enjoy the Friendship of instead. I more Pity someone Hateful than I have any other Emotion towards them actually. Must be such a burden to have such a Tortured Soul that projects so much Hatred outwards all the time, I'd think it would be fucking exhausting and all consuming, their Wounds must be deep? I don't know that they can be made Whole unless they unburden themselves of their Hatreds?
Princess T Loved her little Birthday Cake, I still have her Money to give her after Work. She's taking Tuesday Off as PTO so she'll have an extra Day tacked on to her usual Sun-Mon Off, which falls on her Birthday. Matthew is coming down from NAU, Timmy and Rusty also making Time to spend with her and Sharing her... so nobody is jealous of the Time spent with the others, which is nice. Rusty doesn't seem the insecure type of Boyfriend and he knows her Gay Boy Posse Lifelong Friends, and that they'll always be Close. Rusty, being a Straight Guy, doesn't like doing the same things with her that her Gay Boy Posse and her do together, so it works out well for her to spend separate time with each. Hanging out with Timmy & Matthew is like Girl Time, only, she doesn't like hanging out with Girls. *LOL... too much Drama & a Headache, Men are less Complicated to have Relationships with by far!*
And, tho' she had some Lesbian Friends at one time, she said that got awkward too if they developed a Girl Crush on her, coz, it was like having a Boy you didn't have Feelings for, developing a Crush on you. Just awkward and you didn't wanna be hurtful tho' if you liked them as a Friend. I get it, and so she has that balance to strike, becoz people of both Sexes do LIKE her, and she's an Attractive looking Young Woman, with an endearing Personality, but she has a lot of Social Anxiety. And far too many have developed Crushes on her and then she feels awkward about rejecting their infatuation if she's not feeling it mutually. She's not one to flaunt or abuse her Charm, she's introverted and prefers NOT to have the Attention and be left alone. She likes to Look Fashionable and Pretty tho', mostly for HERSELF tho', and she's Fearless and Confident about it, about Fashion, and about looking Different rather than Copy & Paste. I think that's why she Stands Out in a Crowd and gets tons of Compliments all the time?
LATER: Well, when I went in to CVS they said so many Prescriptions for Vaccines had hit their System it crashed it, which is why they hadn't called me to come in yet. The Pharmacist didn't have anything good to say about this Administration's handling of Healthcare matters and said this is what happens when totally unqualified Individuals with no Medical Experience are put in charge of it, I agree wholeheartedly. He said everything changed from Week to Week and just this Morning they lifted the Prescription Restriction to give people the COVID Vax. Mine was the first, so he was pushing thru as many as he can before they change their Minds again. He said I hadn't had a Tetanus Vax for over 10 Years so I got that one too in the other Arm. He gave me a $10 Off Coupon to Shop in the Store. He made an Appointment for The Man to get his COVID Vax Tomorrow Morning so he doesn't have to rely on the VA and some Young Airman practicing giving Shots. *LOL* He was a very pleasant East Indian Pharmacist with a wicked sense of humor.
So, I'm now all Vaxxed Up, Yay and Whew!!! And it was all still covered, double Yay and Whew!!! We did Environmental Cleanup before my Arms started to hurt, since, I got a Shot in each Arm, I think the Tetanus Shot hurts more, the COVID, not at all. Then I took The Man to "Appleby's" for Brunch. We had the 3 Appetizer Platter each, for $14, it's a lot of Food so we have plenty of Leftovers. I had the Riblets, the Boneless Hot Wings, and the Won Ton Tacos. He had the Crispy Shrimp, Mozzarella Sticks, and Onion Rings. You get 3 different Dips of your Choice, so we chose 6 different ones. And our Sweet Young Waitress really hooked us up with the delicious Strawberry Lemonade, a refill and then a 3rd one To Go. We must have look mighty thirsty? *LOL and Winks* I got more River Rocks while we were at the River for the Rock Mosaic Project. Found more Wishing Stones too, I've got quite a nice Collection of those now too.
Well, couldn't find any Secondhand Witch Doctor Costume Attire at the Chazzas so I switched to doing a Pirate Theme for the Skeleton Costumes coz I did pick up Three Pirate Costumes at a good Price that still had all their Accessories with them. Dressing up Three Skeletons should be enuf, and I also got a large realistic looking rubber Cobra Snake as a Prop for Two Dollars too. I got a small Purse by Playboy to put Princess T's Money in, she doesn't like me wasting Money on Birthday Cards so I always look for something else to tuck the Money in that she'd like. The Purse still had a Dollar's worth of Change in it! My Arm that took the shot for Tetanus is starting to ache, but the COVID side is fine... I've never had any problems with that Vaccine or Negative side effects. While at SAVERS I also picked up an ASHLAND Halloween Pillow shaped like a Spider's Web with Two Black Widow Pom-Pom like Spiders on it, still had the $24.99 New Old Stock Price Tag on it, Scored it for $2! And a Felt Jack O'Lantern Door Wreath for only $2.49! {All are pictured further Below the Food Porn}
So, I heard Disney has already quickly Lost about 7 BILLION in Stock and Subscriptions due to Canning Kimmel. Serves them Right, we should show those that Kiss the Ring and allow this Regime to Dictate who to Fire for whatever reasons that might not even be Legal, that we simply won't do Business with them or Buy their Stock. Hit them where it hurts most, in the Wallet, and Corporate America will finally grow a Pair of Balls and Stand for something. So, their 2 Billion Merger they were trying to Kiss Ass for has now Cost them more than Triple, Splendid. I Hope it Costs them LOTS more so that Companies start having some Backbone and quit allowing a wannabe Dictator to Extort them and retaliate against who they don't like that is Employed by these Companies. The Ketamine King learned the hard way how the American Consumer can Turn on you and Cost you Billions, if you start doing what we don't like.
So, above is my Pillow and Below is my Wreath, both together didn't even cost me Five Bucks!!! I think after The Man gets his COVID Vaccine Tomorrow Morning we're gonna make a trek out to "Studio 108 Collective" since they will permanently Close at the End of the Month. They aren't gonna try to wait 'til the Holidays are over so they mustn't think it will benefit them to even with the Holidays usually boosting Sales. They could be Right, by now Sales usually start to soar and they're not, in fact, they're flatter than they were all Summer, when it's usually slowest, people just aren't spending and I think are fearful of what the Future is gonna End up like? When the Economy Crashes due to the Poor Leadership, and it will, I think we could move from a Recession clear into a Depression we haven't seen the likes of since the 1930's, and that is Scary stuff to Hope doesn't happen, but, could!
I'm gonna just enjoy the Holiday Season, we don't spend much during it coz we have most everything we'll ever Need and I don't have a lot of Wants. We don't have any Small Children at Home anymore, so we always Dial Down at Christmas and none of us goes into Debt for it, no reason to spend Money nobody has just for a Holiday that should focus more on being a Holy Day anyway. And Christmas has already been rolled out since the Shops ran out of Halloween so fast that they almost had to replace it with the next Holiday Merch to fill their empty Shelves. Holiday Decor and Merch is Selling, not much else seems to be tho'. I keep Selling Out of my Halloween Merch and I haven't brought Christmas in yet and won't until next Month. I Sourced one of the enormous Anna Lee Mrs. Claus Figures at SAVERS, I kept hoping they had Santa in the size too, but so far, either they didn't or he Sold first?
I think things like this and Embroidery, Quilting, Knitting, or Crochet and Tatting Work is a very underappreciated form of Handwork these days. So much of it seems to end up Donated. Anyway, I Love my Black Kitty Jewel Art and didn't have to take all that Time and Money to Create it and then nicely Frame it, so I appreciate whoever did and whoever then Donated it. You can see how he Sparkles. He's made his 1st Appearance as Halloween Decor this Year, since, I only recently Sourced him. I've enjoyed looking at your Blogs that have also Shared what you're doing or finding for Halloween already, it's my favorite time of Year to trawl the Land of Blog for the Visuals everyone Blogging might be Sharing of the Holiday.
I could replicate a Scene like this around our Flagpole, which would be Fun, the Kiddos wanna do it. The Man already has a tattered Flag hoisted up our Flagpole with a Skull & Crossbones that says "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out". Retired Military Sniper Gallow's Humor, it's Dark and not for everyone. Especially in lieu of all the Civilians now taking up Assassinating people without Government hiring them to, and Yes, ALL fucking Governments do, so, it's not "New", SWAT Teams and every Branch of the Service has Trained Assassins on the Payroll. And our Government isn't beyond having quite Selective Outrage about which Violence they fully Support and don't Condemn at all, and which they do. Some of The Man's other favorite Sniper sayings are, "If you heard the Shot, I wasn't aiming for you..." {his specific Targets the Government gave him were completed from such a distance they just dropped silently and nobody ever heard a Shot}, and "USMC Sniper, Don't Run or you'll just Die Tired". His take on Assassination attempts is that if it's a good Sniper and not some Amateur, and they want someone Dead, or were Hired to Neutralize that Target, get a Body Bag and Toe Tag ready, it's a Done Deal.
And most especially if some Government, even your own, wants you Neutralized, it will get done and it won't always make the News or even be acknowledged. Someone zip tied one of Mango Mental Donnie Two Dolls Trolls that was Donated, to one of the Industrial Carts where The Granddaughter Works and she Photographed it for me. *LMAOROTF* She said everyone was Laughing their Asses off coz they all despise him. The Son's Lifelong Friend Brigitte, who recently came down to visit us with her Mom and her Son, found these Blast from The Past Pixs of her, The Son and their other Lifelong Friend Mike B., when they were Tweens, perhaps only about 13 or 14 Years Old then. She actually looks the same then as she does now, so she looks more like a Sibling of her Son than his Mom, he's Older than this now and a Senior in High School, nice Kid. Mike B. still comes over and BBQ's, he's a Legendary Grill Master and Culinary Jedi, has worked in Fine Restaurants as a Chef, so, when he's Cooking, you're eating Good! *Winks* Now, when this Trio were Tweens tho', and even when they were Teens, they were a Band of Prodigal Children for sure... they said they have Mad Respect that us Parents didn't Bail on getting them Raised and Love them so unconditionally, coz they were some Buck Wild Bad Ass Kids!!! *LOL*
Fast Forward to them now, almost 25 Years Later, they've KINDA Cleaned Up very well... Bwahahahaha. No, in all Seriousness, everybody got Clean and mostly Sober too, and I just Love them all, they'd all do anything for The Man and I... so every one of them is like Family. Brigitte has one Son who is just about Grown now, The Son and Mike B. have never Married or had any Biological Kids {that we know of anyway for sure} and they all prefer to stay Single too. They Date, but, Marriage just isn't for any of them and they recognize that Fact. Marriage isn't for everyone and I was never one of those Parents or Grandparents that stipulated that it was, or having Children. Just becoz you can have Children doesn't always mean you should. Brigitte is a really great Single Mom tho' and she had her Son very Young, too Young really, and has Raised him on her own, he's turned out great and Adores his Mom and his Maternal Gramma. The Bottom Pix is Brigitte's Mom when she was Younger, her Daughter resembles her a lot. She was a Free Spirit and Old Hippie too in her Day. *Smiles*

And of The Daughter's Five Kids, Princess T is the one who turned out with the Darkest Hair and Eyes... those Rare Recessive Genes in our DNA must be some Strong Ones that actually overrode the Dominant ones? *LOL* There was only me and one Aunt on my Mom's side of the Family that got the Recessive Genes of Light Hair, everyone on both sides of my Family had Blue Black Hair, except for me and my Aunt Angela, who is my Mom's Younger Sister. A few of us on Mom's Side had the Grey Eyes... and on Dad's Side there were even fewer who had Light Eyes, me with Grey, and one Cousin who had Green. It took 'til our Kid's Generation and some of my Cousins marrying outside of the Tribe for just a couple more to have Light Eyes or Hair. There is one of my Cousin's Kids whose Cherokee Name actually translates to "Blue Eyes", becoz, she indeed is the ONLY one who ever had Blue Eyes. My Native American Relatives always called me Dawn Grey Eyes as a Nickname. *LOL*
I never liked having Grey Eyes when I was Younger coz they looked Freaky, and some people told me I looked Possessed, so, it scared some folks. *Ha ha ha* I didn't know then they are the Rarest Eye Color, only 1%-2% of the entire Population have them, which is why for many Years they just lumped us in with People with Blue Eyes, and we'd Check the Blue Eye Color Box in descriptive Forms. But, they're not Blue, they have much less pigmentation than Blue Eyes and actually only Albinos have less pigmentation in their Iris. So, in actuality, I may have some Albino-ism Genetically, and why I didn't turn out as Ethnic looking as my Parents? And why some of my Kids and Grandkids are also Fairer, coz of that Genetic Mutation, which is what it is, and gets passed along. My Mom said when I was an Infant and a LOT Darker Complexion, coz I was a Dark Child, I lightened up with Age, people told her that her Baby had very Strange and Unusual Eyes that Unsettled them. Mom had Grey Eyes too, and Blue Black Hair, but lighter complexion, so it didn't look as Odd. And now my Kids and Grandkids call them my "Crazy Eyes", coz it still Scares some people if I look them in the Eyes. And they always thought their Nanna {my Mom} had "Crazy Eyes" too. *Bwahahahaha*
And of coarse my Dad's entire side of the Family fully Believed that my Mom and I were Witches! And were/still are Scared of us putting Hexes on them. Most Tribal peoples are extremely Superstitious, so are most Welsh, so, yeah, we'd of been Burned at the Stake Generations ago I guess by the Puritans anyway? *Bwahahahahaha* Now, to be Fair, my Mom did do shit like that on The Regular, so nobody messed with her, ever. *LMAO* The Man said she was the Scariest Woman he ever met. Topping me as The Scariest. *Bwahahahaha* BTW: I have this Mannequin in my Collection, bought her last Halloween from an Industry Friend who really had her NFS and as a Display Piece, but, after Halloween, and after having Sold what she was Wearing at the Event, she relented and Sold her to me after the Halloween Show was a Wrap. I would have liked her fully Dressed in that ensemble tho', looked Killer.
A lot of Industry Friends bring in their Mannequin Displays this time of Year, most aren't For Sale. Too hard to come by the Vintage Mannequins these Days to be able to replace them, and frankly, most Buyers don't wanna Pay what they're Worth. I won't even put my "I don't wanna Sell it Price" on them tho' anymore, coz I've made that Mistake in the Past and dammit if someone doesn't Stand Tall and fucking pay it! *LOL and Le Sigh* My Adorable Industry Friend Sarah, stopping to let me Photograph her at Work hauling one of her Display Mannequins in. She'll dress her in Authentic Retro Wardrobe, since, that's what she Specializes in Selling, Vintage 1940-1960 everything and Lives it 24-7 and 365. So, this Mannequin now looks like a Hot 1950's Pinup Gal in one of her Booths at our Antique Mall. *Smiles*
The Kiddos have been telling me I don't get in FRONT of the Lens nearly enuf so I've been trying to oblige lately and not always be behind the Lens taking Pixs of everyone else and conspicuous by my Absence. I just don't photograph as Photogenically as I used to tho', so I'm always critical of how I look in Pixs now. I think I need an Eyelid Lift so I don't look so Squinty, or perhaps a Lifestyle Lift? Tho' they have since gone out of Business, so, mebbe not... *LOL* I did get some Eye Creams and they seem to be effective enuf without being invasive at all, I'm not trying to look Young, too late for that, but, at a certain Season of Life your Old Skin could use some Help that is more Natural of a Product, especially when you live in a very harsh Climate that takes a toll on Skin.
Today we got Irrigation and weren't expecting it coz SRP forgot to send me the usual E-Mail of our Rotation, thankfully Rob, our Neighbor, let us know so that Mando and The Daughter could do it when their rotation next door was done! *Whew* You have to take on the Water ordered for your rotation or you Flood everyone downstream from you. I'd been checking my E-Mails daily coz I knew it should be time for a Cycle, but it never came and wasn't in my Spam Folder either, so, don't know why they didn't send one? It's the first time they haven't so I won't complain unless they do it again. So, anyway, we got our Irrigation, so, it's all Good, and the Kids relieve me of doing it now, which is also all Good. *Smiles* Mando couldn't find his Wellingtons so he wore some of mine that had Betsey Johnson Roses Graphics on them and he joked that at least he had "Pretty Boots" to do the Irrigation this time. *Bwahahahaha* The Daughter was wearing my other Pair that have Dia de los Muertos Skulls on them and would have looked more Masculine, but she already had them on wading around when he couldn't find his.
This will be the only time I can go visit my Friends who are Closing their Shop, since Sunday is the last Day and I wanna make it down there. We can go right after The Man gets his COVID Shot at 10:30 a.m. at CVS. It's a lengthy commute and part of why they decided to close, it was a rather long Commute for all the Friends who decided to do this together Two Years ago and see what happened. I'll be Saddened that yet another great Shop is Closing, but, the Economy being what it is, and worsening by the Day, I totally understand, it has to be profitable if you're still doing it for a Living and not just a Hobby or to Downsize Possessions. Most of my Industry Friends are a split between the Two Camps, some doing it for an actual Living, which isn't an Easy Living to make doing this, or as a Retirement Hobby or Sideline to a Real Job, to just do something Fun and perhaps make some discretionary income and Kindred Spirit Friends whilst doing it. I'm in the latter Camp, I'd never have tried to do this for a Living! I don't know how anybody can?
I knew when they quite maintaining the FB Biz Page that it was likely coming to a Close, and they were open more often than just 4 Days a Month for a Themed Event too. They began Opening every Weekend after a Summer hiatus and Closure. But, clearly, this Industry has been hit particularly hard by a slowing and then stagnant Economy, plus, Younger Generations want Experiences, not Things. Perhaps as they Age that might change, but, by then, I doubt any of what we do will be left as a remnant to what used to be a profitable Industry once upon a time. Yeah, back then I could make as much Money doing this as a Hobby and just for Fun to Downsize, as I made at my actual Career, those days are long over. Actually most Careers now aren't even doing as well as they used to once upon a time. Some of these Friends have other Businesses they do something similar and have Branded themselves as, so, they likely will continue, but, with another Path forward. We'll End Today with a Blast From The Past of my Nieces doing a "Charlie's Angels" Pose... since, we used to call The Sisters "The Angels".
