Curiouser And Curiouser

The spike in Blog Viewers lately has been stratospheric, to the point I'm getting literally THOUSANDS more Views per Post, and that's unexpected!  I don't get a lot of Comments on my Posts, so that's always been quite manageable for me, most Dear Readers seem to be Readers and Lurkers, not interactive Blog Supporters, and that's Fine, I do that too a lot.  But Yesterday's Post in Real Time, which was the one on the 20th, got Thousands of Views above and beyond the Norms... and the Average has quadrupled in recent Weeks of Page Views per Post, I don't know Why?  I have a respectable amount of International Readers and Blog Friends, but the vast majority are still Readers from the United States, even with the Spike.  I'm Feelin' The Love.

It's just Curiouser and Curiouser, I have no explanation whatsoever.  Nothing is any more Interesting, in Photographs or Topics, that I can fathom?  Long Time Readers know I'm pretty consistent with Content being Eclectic and Broad, I haven't changed my Style whatsoever since 2009 when I began Blogging.  This isn't a Biz Blog, a Food Blog, a Mommy or Family Blog, a Caregiver's Blog, a Fashion Blog, a Political Blog, a World Events Blog, a Travel Blog... but it could be any or all of the Above at any given Time or Post.  *LOL*   Is anyone else in The Land experiencing a sudden Spike in Readers and Visits to your Posts?  I'm a Statistics oriented person so I like to look at Stats of everything.  It intrigues me, and in my Corporate Lives it meant something, always, to pay attention to the Statistics.  I think it does even in the frivolousness of Blogging.

And this is a frivolous pursuit for Yours Truly, I don't take Blogging or my Blog Seriously, it's just enjoyable to do for me.  I don't have any Point Of View that is exceptional or should/would sway anyone from whatever Point Of View they happen to have, nor would I try to really.  If I have changed anyone's Point of View it was purely accidental and not intentional, mebbe gave them a different perspective, that's all.  And perspective is everything about almost anything.   I know that the vast majority of folks will probably agree to disagree with me.  I don't mind and I don't really Care, I can amicably disagree and come to the agreement we may never see Eye to Eye about some things and that's perfectly Okay to me.  I can be controversial about many things... but I'm not necessarily confrontational about any of it.

The Fluff Posts don't get the most Views, they just don't, and that's an indicator that people still tend to be drawn more to Serious Posts and the more important Stuff Of Life.   As it probably should be.  We all LIKE to enjoy The Fluff of Life, I split my Reading between Fluff Posts or Serious Topic Posts on many Blogs I visit.  Some Bloggers are more Serious than others, some avoid anything potentially controversial, Sexual, Political, or Opinionated, some excel at covering those Topics and are Fearless about it.  Blogs are like that tho' and why I like this Platform, you get some of anything or everything on Blogs, you choose which to visit and which you connect to, for whatever the reasons.  If someone is Critical of my Blog or a Post, I remind them it's voluntary to Visit, you don't have to.  And, it's Okay if you don't.

 I don't understand why anyone would pay Visits to any place they take any Offense to or are Critical of, it's just Odd to me why they would?  Unless they enjoy Drama or being contrary, unlovely, or difficult perhaps?  *LOL*   And, I do understand that you can enjoy a Blog and sometimes find something uncomfortable for or to you on it, but, it's the Blogger's prerogative to Post it, be it Visual or Verbal.   Whenever that has happened to me, I just say nothing and move on, since, I'm the Guest when I come for a Blog Visit, I'm not the Host.  Nobody asked me to come and so if I'm there, it's Voluntary and not Mandatory.  I can come and go without anyone even really knowing I was even there, unlike Real Life, we can choose to be totally Anonymous here if we so choose to be.  I Blogged for a time early on rather Anonymous and with very little Personal Shared here.

And, if Trolls show up, I used to have my Fun with them, but I got Bored with that.   And not many showed up more than the once, so, most don't like it when you torment them to Amuse yourself and your Dearer Readers.  *LOL and Winks*   But, mostly they're either Ignored, coz they don't Matter and aren't Relevant, or, they go to Spam and are just Deleted and thrown out like the worthless Trash their Comments are.  I never understood Trolling or why some folks Get Off on it?  I guess they don't have a Life and want to be Noticed?  Not sure.  Some of coarse are the ones trying to Promote something, usually something nobody wants or is remotely Interested in, or is sketchy stuff... like Escorts and shit like that I don't want any association with... Advertise that shit where it belongs and you'd mebbe have any Interest from your demographic.  Mostly my Blog has Appealed to the right demographic of Reader/Visitor that is appropriate for my specific content.  Not the Rando Troublemaker Troll.

And if you enjoy Eating Trolls for Breakfast like an Apex Predator they're foolish enuf to get near, I rather enjoy Reading your Exchanges with them too, I ain't gonna Lie!  Watching a Troll Buffet being consumed and destroyed is Entertaining.  *Winks and LOL*  It's like watching a Karen getting Taken Down in Public, being Recorded, and going Viral with their Shame to be mocked and judged for the ridiculous insufferable Pain in the Ass they are... it's Priceless.   And it seems to have worked in inhibiting their Public Displays.  Which have diminished considerably since COVID was a big Thing and The Karens were out in Force, Unmasked and causing a needless ruckus.  Mebbe Natural Selection took many of them Out for being Covidiots, I dunno?  Just, good riddance... nobody misses them.   More Harmony prevails in their absence.

But, back to Blogging, I wouldn't change anything about my Blog regardless of if Stats go Up, Down or Sideways.   I just find it Interesting and Fascinating what the Stats indicate at any given point in Time here?  Since, nothing is really Changing here, so, it may indicate more that people Need to visit Blogs as a Respite from Real Life sometimes more than at other times?  That's my Theory, I have no real Evidence, but, it seems like it could be some of the reason for increases and decreases in Readership of Blogs over Time?   I like the Charts Blogger gives me, and the Data they avail to us if we are Interested in Receiving the Information gathered Statistically?   I'm not a Monetized Blogger, so it doesn't avail me Monetarily to have more or less Visitors, Clicks, Followers, whatever.  I don't consider myself a Social Media Influencer.  But I know some folks really are and some of them make serious Bank doing it!  

I actually Followed a Blog in the early Years of Blogging heyday who was Earning $8,000 a Month with her Graphics Blog!!!  And the Crazy part was, that the Images weren't even hers, but they weren't Copyright Images either, so she Cribbed and just Shared them and Monetized her Blog!!!   Now, in the early 2000's that was Crazy lucrative Earning, it still would be Today actually, for a mere Blog's Earnings.  I didn't have the bandwidth to even try to Monetize a Blog and I really didn't want Ads all over mine promoting anything either just so I'd get Checks.  I'm too much of a Control Freak to just let anyone use what's mine to Advertise whatever they wanted to.  And, I didn't want my Visitors to have to wade thru Ads either, I find them Annoying.  And I rarely Read Blogs that have them to wade thru like an Endless Commercial on TV, which, they're Annoying to me too, even tho' I know their Purpose as what Funds Programming.  I get up during Commercials to take Breaks, that's what I Use Commercials for, I don't even watch or pay Attention to them.

I'm still in my Jammies at almost Noon now, still haven't sufficiently been Motivated to go to The Event.  The Man knew it was Today and thought mebbe if he asked if he could go too and come along, I'd somehow be MORE Motivated, you know, to have an Anchor in Tow dragging along, like Dead Weight, and not have a Respite from Caregiving?!   Silly Man.  He doesn't even LIKE my Events, he's like a Deer caught in the Headlights at them and doesn't know what to even do with himself.  So, then I'm Babysitting him and getting him out of people's way instead of enjoying any of it.  So, No, Honey, that wouldn't be the Motivation I NEED to wanna go!!!  If I don't even know if I wanna bother going myself, I sure as Hell don't wanna drag along an entourage who doesn't really even wanna be there and will make that painfully apparent and a Pain in my Ass!  *Bwahahahaha*  He looked suitably dejected at that response.  Oh well...

Listen, I'm NOT in my Best Head Space and only The Girls notice that, so each of them asked what they could do to Help?  There's nothing really they CAN do, I just have to move thru it.  The Daughter made me an Omelet and Iced Cappuccino, Princess T had done the Dishes and put them all away... so, they tried... Bless 'em.  They know I'm usually on a Manic High so they get worried when I'm on a Bipolar Low.  I kinda KNOW why I am, got some very Bad News that I can't and don't wanna Share here in The Land... and can't do anything about... and Processing it has been difficult and worrisome.  Mostly becoz I'd had some Premonition Dreams about this Person being in serious Crisis and didn't know until Days later, that they actually were.  And so now those awful Nighttime Visions made perfect Sense and fell into place and perspective better, coz Visions can be choppy in what they Reveal or don't specifically.  But, it didn't make me Feel any better about having had a Premonition Warning me of it before it was Confirmed, you know?  And so I'll be On Edge until it gets Resolved and that Person is Safe.
