A Little Bit Of Me Always Goes A Long Way

One of my Adult Granddaughter's Shared this T-Shirt, she knows how much I abhor The Orange Perv Devil.  I could Sell a lot of these in our Showroom!  I'm on a Blog Writing Roll I tell ya!  I should Clean and Organize a whole Room more often if it gives me this much Momentum!  *LOL and Winks*  Mebbe I'm just on a Manic High tho', with us Bipolars with Adult ADHD, coupled with OCD, it happens.  *Bwahahaha*   The Lows can go really Limbo Low tho', so I don't mind the Mania so much, if I'm gonna be Bipolar as Fuck, I'd rather have more Mania than Depression with my Mixed Episodes, I can tell ya that!!!   And the ADHD, coupled with OCD, just means no Focus and constant Distraction.  Or minuscule Focus, or laser Focus at the exclusion of all else, with lotsa Obsessive Compulsive Thoughts and Actions, a real Mixed Bag with me.  I'm like that Box of Chocolate Forrest Gump spoke of.  *Winks*  So as long as I've got someone helping me do something, and keep me on Track and on Task, re-directing me when necessary, I'm Golden and can work Circles around most people of any Age.  A little bit of me always goes a long way.

I have Beach Envy when any of the Adult Grandkids send me their Pixs on the Beaches, like this one taken in Mexico of one of the Granddaughters.  Swoon... I Need some Beach Time right about now!  *Le Sigh*  I don't look that Cute in my Beach Attire anymore tho'.  *LOL*  The Turkey when it was still Cooking was smelling Divine, so I was thinking it will turn out just Fine.  I wasn't Wrong, it was better than Fine.  Pixs were in that previous Post, it was Editorial too for Blog Fodder.  Martha Stewart was an excellent Online Tutor as it turns out. *LMAO*  And we had plenty of folks to eat it, since she did a Head Count to know how many we're Feeding, like Jesus multiplying the Loaves and Fishes, we'll stretch any Meal to make sure whoever shows up Eats.  *LOL*

And it's Strange, but every time we're making a Big Meal, it's as if The Younger Generations Friends have Food Radar that goes off, coz they'll Magically happen to Call or Show Up, just before any big Meal is ready or being Served!   They are sorta like Sharks, if there's even One Drop of Blood in the whole Ocean, they Sense it and head right for it!!!  *Bwahahaha*  Of coarse most Younger Generations could Eat you out of House and Home, they're insatiable Feeders, like they have Hollow Legs or something, even when they're well Fed!!!  Princess T is an anomaly in that she's a Young Person whose a poor and fussy Eater, but, it's due mostly to her sensitive Gut Issues she was Born with.  There's many things she simply can't Eat.

Above is the Oldest Daughter in a most recent Pix, on the Right with the Grey Sweater, with her Younger Half-Siblings.  She's a Gramma now of Five and Lovin' it!  Anyway, I don't know how The Sale at the Antique Mall went, if it Stimulated any Trade or not having the 20% Off any Item over $25?  People just aren't spending, especially not on more expensive items, or any non-essentials, so it might have been better had they just had 20% Off everything IMO.   But I understand that the biggest Complaint with our Vendors, including Yours Truly, has been that we're only Selling Smalls and not the Primo or Big Ticket Items an Antique Mall should be drawing Customers in for to Buy.  It's not a Dollar Store, or a Chazza, but sometimes the Demographic coming thru those Doors is what would be Shopping at those Stores.   And with the exception of the Pokemon, Sports Cards, Disney, or Labubu Crazed Folks, who don't Care what they have to spend on their Obsession with those Trends, everything else better be a fucking Deal or they won't Buy it.

I know I Sold the expensive Pokemon Backpack out of my Case before this Weekend, coz they had to Call me with the Customer's Offer before the Sale.  But, other than that I have no Idea what else Sold during the Sale?   I'm Hopeful the Sale brought in those who would Buy what we were Offering even if it wasn't 20% Off?   I do have some Specialty and Band T-Shirts and Hoodies that would Qualify for the Discount.  And some Antiques, Quality Vintage items and Primo Collectibles that would Qualify for the Discount too.  Whether those Customers came in to Buy any of it, is questionable.  Sometimes these Sales fall flat.  Often I do better with Sales when there is no "Sale" going on.  It's very random and you can't put your Finger on the Pulse of any of it anymore.  So, you are Winging it all of the time now, unlike the heyday when you knew what was Trending in the Vintage/Antique/Collectibles Markets... and what was Hot!!!

Now I couldn't name one Hot Vintage/Antique at all... and with Collectibles it's the Trendy nonsense like Pokemon and Labubu... not what Consummate Collectors used to clamor for.   I doubt most of these Buyers of that stuff could qualify as being Consummate Collectors even tho' right now they're Obsessed, becoz, when the Trend Cools, they won't be, at all.  It will Pass, as Trends do, and you'll see that stuff in Chazzas like the Squishmallow Craze, which Cooled and now they're in every Secondhand Store in abundance.  I Sold a lot of them when the Craze was Hot.  Why, you might ask, coz I had a Grandchild infatuated with Collecting them, until she didn't.   Then she was Selling them in our Showroom once she was "Over" them.  And she had a ridiculous amount of them, you couldn't even SEE her Bed or Corners of her Room piled high with them.  *LOL*  Same with her Care Bears, she's "Over" them now too so her Mom now has them all.  *Eye Roll*  The Daughter has started her 2nd Childhood early, I swear!!!

Of coarse, who am I to Talk?   I have ridiculous amounts of Collectibles I'm gaga over and Obsessed with, like Vintage Trolls for example.  Yes, I Sell a LOT of them too, they're lucrative and never fell out of Fashion with Adults or Kids, they abided as a Toy Beloved.   I have some that go way back, to the early 1960's, and some Rare ones, I have the Troll Cave House from the 1960's.   They were made out of a Vinyl Material that does not Age well and becomes very brittle, but, if kept in Climate Control and with Care, they can last relatively intact and well without too much normal Age damage.   There was also a Rarer Troll Stik-Shack Tiki Hut, which I was Jonesin' to procure one day, Pictured Below, that commands a hefty price at Auction whenever you can even find one For Sale usually, I Lucked Out recently tho'.

Now, I have Zero Nostalgia associated with the Troll Tiki Hut coz I never, ever saw one except in Pixs Online quite recently, not even in the 60's when it was made.  The same with the equally elusive Troll Shanty Shack from 1960, never saw one of those either except in Pixs Online.  Didn't even know either of them existed actually, when I was a Kiddo and Teen Collecting Trolls.   The Troll Cave House was the only one I knew of growing up.  And, I did manage to Score both of them, reasonably, on a Buy-It-Now Feature on E-Bay recently, so, I'm Jazzed.  The Tiki Hut even came with a bunch of Vintage Trolls the Seller was Selling as an Instant Collection!  I am Waist Deep in my 2nd Childhood by now.  *Winks*   And, I enjoy having some Nostalgic Vintage Toys that are just slightly Younger than I am.  I know my Kiddos can Resell them for a Profit when the Time comes to dispose of my Estate one day and Sell Off the Inheritance.  *Winks*  The Daughter and Princess T also Collected Trolls of their Childhood Eras, in the 80's they had the Gem Bellybuttons, now they have a Movie.  They are still making them so it's even likely the Great-Grandkids may eventually want or own some too?  *Smiles*

*******

And how has this been for a Shortened Blog Post and being more Editorial than usual my Friends?  *Winks* ... Dawn... The Bohemian
