Bohemian Valhalla: A Staged Fight Is Better Than No Fight At All

The Son and I watched the Tyson 'vs' Paul Fight and it was exactly what we expected, pure Hyped Up Staged Entertainment which ticked all the Boxes of being what it is, just like Pro Wrestling. You had a 27 Year Old U-Tube Tik Tok Sensation whose made his Millions Staging Stunts and isn't a Professional Boxer, Earning a 50 Million Dollar Payday for this Stunt. Coming out in ridiculous Diamond encrusted Million Dollar Trunks. You had an almost 60 Year Old Boxing Legend coming out of a 20 Year Retirement to Earn a 20 Million Dollar Payday for doing so, who had taken Training Seriously enuf to not get killed in the Ring. High Five to both Men.

All us Old Time Boxing Fans just wanted to see if Iron Mike mebbe had one last Knockout Punch left in him, he didn't, it's Okay. He lasted all 8 Rounds and didn't get hurt or knocked out, so, that was an Outcome I felt Fine with and Hoped for Mike, given the Old Man's Age. Not many Old Men would have the Courage as a Grandpa to even consider such a Spectacle with serious risks to themselves. Celebs galore were in attendance and it was a packed Arena and well watched on NetFlix, it was what it was expected to be. *Winks* Yeah, Sad, but, I ain't gonna Lie, I did Hope Tyson would and could knock the cocky Kid out Cold. *Bwahahaa* I enjoyed the Fight mebbe more than The Son did. *Smiles*

The Son has been a Street Fighter and did admit, that now he's in his late 30's, any Fight at even his Age has it's particular risks and is best just avoided. When he and Gypsy James finally went Rounds after all these Years of his Friend wanting to Fight him to see who was a better Fighter, it lasted a ridiculous amount of time. The Son broke his Hand on James' Face! It was a draw coz neither Guy could knock the other out and James wasn't expecting The Son to be able to fight that long. He also knew The Son was Holding Back, so as not to hurt his Friend he Loves like a Brother from another Mother. It pissed Gypsy James off, but, was for the best, The Son has put people in the ER before. He's not Mentally Well and neither is Mike Tyson, so, there is the Not PC Term we use for that kind of Strength, among ourselves. *Winks* So The Son knows a Hold Back when he sees one and said this Fight displayed it, both Guys just wanting to Get Paid with no Serious Injuries to either one and nobody having to get Knocked Out.

But, to this Day now, Gypsy James says he'd never wanna fight The Son again, it was brutal to fight someone that long and hard. And Gypsy James has been a Boxer. *Smiles* The Son said his Observation was, this was also a Holding Back Fight, and more like a lengthy Spar so both Guys could walk away without serious injury to one another and enjoy their Payday after giving the people an Entertaining but Over Hyped Show. He could be Right, it did look like that to me too, and, frankly, we were both Fine with that Outcome and didn't blame either Man for making their Millions off of it, Bravo.

I doubt anyone Expected different than what we got actually. It wasn't like it was a Serious 'Boxing' Match Up as far as Industry Standards go. And it was modified shorter Rounds and more padded Gloves. But Tyson Earned as much for this as for fighting Spinks in 1988, a Fight that lasted 91 Seconds Knocking Out a previously undefeated Real Boxer. Mike can now Chill comfortably in Retirement and have a Story to tell his Grandkids. Paul idolized Tyson, so now can say not only that he fought his Idol, but that he Won with a Decision... so that's his Story to tell. It's all Good IMO. Doesn't America like Good Theater? Just look at our ridiculous Alt Right Political Theater Entertaining and swaying Voters, none of that is 'Real' either... I rest my Case.

Okay, so, my Friday Night Shift at Work, we did get just over 300 folks thru the Doors and some were Buying expensive items, mostly Disney Merch and Sports Cards tho'. A lot of Christmas Decor was going out the Doors too. Way better than the dismal 167 folks we'd had the Night before who weren't Buying squat tho'. I hadn't Sold a damned thing on Thursday, so, having a few Smalls Sell on Friday was better, but, still shitty Sales for this Holiday Season, when we usually make Bank and just aren't. I mean, I did Sell my Two Pair of fucking Disney Mouse Ears and made a stupid amount of profit on them, but, that's what Customers now want, shit like that. *Le Sigh*

I would never, in a Million Years, have ever picked up Disney Mouse Ears to Resell before, but now, know it's an easy profitable Quick Turn when I do. Shit like that keeps us afloat these days. So, Yeah, I feel like a Sellout sometimes being in an ANTIQUE Mall Selling fucking gaudy ridiculous Mouse Ears that Grown Ass Women are Buying and Wearing, but... whatever... it is what it is, Right? Whatever floats their Boat, they're Happier than Clams at High Tide and that's all that Counts really, Happy Customers jazzed to Score whatever it is they really dig. I'm Happy FOR them but it does Amuse me. *LMAO* I don't mind Selling Vintage Band Tees and Specialty Tees and that Market is Strong too right now.

Yet, I have a large Vintage $1,200 Artist Signed Bronze Western Sculpture of an Indian Buffalo Hunt, with the Hunter on a Horse, chasing Buffalo, that I can't Sell for even the reduced Price of $400 tho'!!! I may just take it to a Pawn Shop and Sell it for Bronze Value, coz it's taking up too much Space in my Locked Case and not even a bite on it for Months now. Fine Art just isn't in Demand, it's a Culturally deprived Audience we're catering to there and so you have to Market and Merchandise accordingly, unless you wanna Die Broke as a Purist? *Le Sigh* I can Sell Starbucks Collector Mugs and Tumblers all day long tho', so, I Work with what I have. *Smiles*

Richard and Judith were my Co-Workers and both prefer to Sell higher end Merch too, but, we lament that it's just not Selling, whaddya gonna do? Richard is a Retired Bank Executive and so is Judith, so, here we are in our Old Age, Three Retired Bank Executives, now reselling Tchotchkes at an Antique Mall, who knew? *Bwahahaha* Richard prefers to Sell Coins, Gold, Silver and High End Art... he will Buy Gold and Silver from Customers too. Judith is an Antiques Enthusiast and likes Retro Mid-Century Kitchenware, Sports Memorabilia, and harder to find Vinyl Record LP's too. Their Sales are lagging as well now and Yeah, we Complain about it amongst ourselves. It wasn't supposed to Work like this. *LMAO*

Anyway, I've decided I shall pull any Shifts tossed to me to Cover for the unreliable Co-Workers that just don't show up, within Reason, if they give me more than 5-10 Minute Warning to show up!? Coz the more Rent Comped, the more likelihood I'll receive a Check while Sales are shit. And, I do have a lot of Inventory to bring in so I wanna Turn some Merch so I can bring in Fresh Merch and clear out my She Shed. Of Stored Inventory I know I'm Downsizing and don't wanna Keep, yet, don't wanna just Donate either. And, The Daughter said she'll try again to do some Yard Sales and see if it goes better than last time? It was a lot of effort for no gain last time, I wouldn't bother, but, she's willing to.

They can't discern the Bullshit from what's legit I guess? My Vendor Friend Rick calls it "The Rubber Dog Turd Mentality" and he'll just Sell folks the Rubber Dog Turds if that's what they're Buying. Anyway, my Friend Rick, he's only partly saying it in jest, embracing Gallow's Humor, coz he also does Believe we're all fucked now. The Lunatics are in Charge of the Asylum. *Winks* I do see a lot of folks Grieving and in Mourning, I understand, but, I don't waste a lot of Time on Grief personally, it's not at all Helpful to me personally. The Horse is Dead, I got off... and will have to take the rest of the perilous Journey on Foot and Fight when necessary to Survive whatever fuckery comes our way now. Not the first fucked up Situation I've Survived, won't be the last either I suspect. We are Survivors in this Family and we just Circle the Wagons and go on the Warpath whenever necessary against any adversary threatening us. Richard is of the Opinion Big Pharma should be shut down as the Cash Cow it's become. I can't argue with that sentiment, they've Created a lot of the Addiction and Dependency upon Drugs Crisis in America. Western Medicine does rely upon keeping people Sick, Wellness is not profitable. It's why the Public isn't given Insurance Options to choose Eastern, Holistic or Tribal Medicines as Covered Alternatives, most of which, actually Work. He thinks RFK, Jr. is just Wacko enuf to make the Powers that actually be Pause and reassess the Healthcare Systems and what's being pushed upon the Public that is harmful, as well as what's helpful, and most folks can't discern anymore which is which so might Trust the Wrong advice? He has a valid point, but I told him putting a Lunatic Conspiratardia in Charge of America's Health isn't a Strategy I'd personally back nor suggest is a viable Solution to what's Wrong with the System in place. More Harm than Good will come of it.

First do no Harm is actually a Hippocratic Oath Promise I do think, if implemented without Corruption and Greed, Works far better. But, let's face it, Corruption and Greed have entered the equation at every level of Government now. So a lot of folks now don't REALLY Trust any side actually, and are now more Anti-Establishment than any Old Hippie would or could ever be. It's a Protest of sorts, playing out all Wrong, but, a Protest nonetheless. Richard, like me, is an Old Hippie that just Worked the Corporate Grind to our Advantage once we Grew Up. *LOL* Richard Retired from one of the Major Banks I also Worked for as a Corporate Executive in the 70's and early 80's. I don't Agree with Richard's stance that sometimes something needs to be Destroyed to be Rebuilt better... since, whose Rebuilding and will it be better, REALLY? If they're not Qualified in the Construction Process, then, do you really want them Building what you Need? I wouldn't have Unqualified Contractors building or re-building my House, just sayin', even if it desperately needed a Remodeling. Given the levels of Incompetency, blatant Grifting Greed and Chaos, I can't see Order and sound Leadership that is looking out for the American People Manifesting out of any of it. And Judith, well, she's Wealthy, so it makes perfect sense to her she could Benefit from a Top 1%er in Charge giving the most Affluent all the Breaks to become even Wealthier. The Rich have no Saturation Point for more Money. But, I did listen to some opposing views since, why the fuck not now... it doesn't really matter... they prevailed and so, when it all goes to shit, it will for them too. Nobody I know is in a high enuf Income Tax Bracket to be Celebrating.

I had to Cancel going to my Christmas Event, coz I had to do focus instead on lots of Damage Control behind what the Hurricane allegedly did to the Mail arriving on the East Coast to pay Bills/Loans processed back there in the Clearing Houses our Banks use. Nothing arrived on Time, so, I had to scramble to Pay by Phone... then scramble when the delayed Mail hit anyway... and fucked up my Finances considerably with Double Payments on everything. And of coarse, Dealing with Loan Servicing done Offshore in 3rd World Countries, and Lenders who now aren't competently Staffed enuf not to fuck things up consistently and be indifferent to fixing it. So, Fun Times. *Insert Resting Bitch Face*

I was moving Money around like Whack-A-Mole, which, cocks up my carefully Planned Budget and Financial Strategy. But, shit happens, Lord knows I've Bankrolled enuf Personal Family Crisis and necessary Home Improvements/Repairs lately to strain it already to damned near a Breaking Point. And... it's just Money, I'll make more of it before I Die... que sera sera. A good Challenge is not something I shy away from even when it's not Invited. I ran damage control behind large Financial Institutions to protect their Interests for Decades, so, doing it for myself is just scooting me out of Retirement of such things. I'm Rusty, but, I think I can, I think I can... kind of like Iron Mike getting back in The Ring, it's just not the most Ideal Season of Life to be having to do it, but, let's see what's still in us? Do we still have any Fight left? *LOL*

The Son and I Joked while watching The Fight, if we were Tempted with 20 Million to have gotten in that Ring right now, with what we're up against, would we? Well, if it didn't Kill ya, the Payday would be Worth it, and if it did Kill ya, well, your Heirs would be set for Life, so, perhaps we would and Roll the fucking Dice? I can't say for Sure we wouldn't at least take it under Careful Consideration, I ain't gonna Lie. We've done riskier shit for far less, let us just say. I mean 20 Million for the Geezer and 50 Million for the Younger Guy was an excellently Negotiated Payday. And... everyone clearly was willing to Pay it for to be Entertained by the Spectacle, and make their Take on it too, no matter how Staged, so... folks Got Paid all around. *Booyah and Bwahaha*

She just couldn't find what she was looking for in the Stores and her Online Sources are so much Cheaper anyway. I got my Vampire Mug from my E-Bay Seller promptly, just as Promised, so, compared to fucking Poshmark, E-Bay Rocks and so do their Sellers. I doubt I'll ever use Poshmark again, in only Two Purchases ever on that site, one went well and one didn't, and a 50-50 chance of having a desirable Outcome, isn't worth the risk. In fact, the Seller who didn't and wouldn't perform on their Sale never gave me any Explanation or Response to my Inquiries as to Why they Cancelled my Sale after having my Money for half a Month? I'm still not sure I even got a Refund, will have to request Evidence from my Bank that the Sale was Refunded?
