Taking My Mind Off All The Recent Bad News

I had a lot of Family Bad News to Process, so I'm trying to take my Mind off all of it and compartmentalize my Thoughts so it doesn't lead to total Emotional paralysis or Physical inertia.  I never have gotten out of my Jammies this Sunday, even with Company coming over, tho' I did tidy up the house.  I knew it was Q and his Family and they've seen me in my Jammies before, so I didn't need to make a favorable first impression and pretend we're Normal.  *Bwahahahaha*  I had to blow out my Scented Candle tho' coz I forgot his Youngest is severely Asthmatic and also very curious about Fire... but the house already smelled like the "Clean Sheets" Scent of that Gold Canyon Line.  So it smells nice and now it's not a potential hazard to get knocked over or have a curious youngster fascinated by.  *Smiles*  They're not Babies or Toddler Aged, and are well Raised and respectful Youngsters of your Home, but you still have to keep Eyes on Young Boys particularly.

I'm glad someone is using the Pool, we haven't used it as much this Summer as previous ones it seems.  I've only used it a few times myself, usually when fewer of the Male Kiddos are Home coz I prefer to Skinny Dip and not bother with a Bathing Suit.  *Smiles*  Bathing Suits for Big Women are just hideous and a pain in the Ass to wear too.  Not that me Skinny Dipping is a Sight to behold or be able to Unsee either, but, it's a lot more comfortable for me to Swim that way in the Privacy of our own Home and Pool.  And I try to keep track of the Days of the Week now so I'm not doing it on a Monday either anymore, when Pool Maintenance is done by the Hot Pool Guy Owner or his Hot Younger Pool Guy Hired Help.  *Winks*  He does have a Handsome Crew, I must say, they've all been Eye Candy.  *Ha ha ha*

I had gotten a $9.99 Specialty Pizza with Stuffed Crust and 7 toppings from DOMINOS Yesterday, it was Sublime.  Definitely gonna get another one of those while they're having that Special, one of the best Pizzas we'd had in a very long time actually and that Price was excellent to Feed all Four of us who were Home.   The Daughter still hasn't come Home for Weeks now and The Young Prince is still in New Mexico with Allen, should be coming back by next Weekend, or so he says, we'll see.  I don't mind that neither of them has chosen to be MIA coz that's Two Less Bells to Answer, Two Less Eggs to Fry and Support.  But, The Daughter did help me with Housekeeping a lot and the Cooking, so The Son has been trying to fill in while she's gone.  Usually he does Exterior Maintenance coz he's no Domestic Goddess or Cook, tho' he's very Tidy like his Dad is and both of them always clean up after themselves.

The Two inclined to being Messy are The Daughter and her Son, so with them not here there's usually a Cleaner Kitchen.  She likes to Cook and is really good at it, but uses so much to prepare a Meal and then it sits there unclean.   And The Young Prince, his Personal Space can become very Unsafe and Unsanitary if you don't closely Monitor him and his Mental Health Condition.  I also have to do the same with the 5th Wheel where The Daughter resides coz her Personal Space can become the same as her Son's if you don't check on it regularly.   She's capable of running her own damage control behind herself, her Son seems incapable of it or of noticing it... he seems Blind to the condition when it's not Okay.  Sometimes he'll tell me he's worked hard on it and when I go in to inspect, coz he invited me to, it's still giving me the Vapors!

Still no Word from Social Security, so it may well be 7 Months or more before they actually Process his Case and let us know their decisions or set something up for Evaluations etcetera?   I sent them all the information they'll ever Need by filling out their Forms, going in Person to the initial Application at their Main Office with him.  They didn't even take Copies of all the previous Documentation I'd brought to that Interview coz they said they didn't want or need everything from when he was initially Diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness at Age 7.  I found that to be relevant and curious that they only want to know from the last Shrink in New Mexico who he'd seen for only a fucking Year, how Bad Off he is and not see the whole Mental Health History and Evaluations by Medical Professionals and Institutionalizations!

I was thinking to myself, what about those with SMI who have not been under the Care of a Psychiatrist in the past Year, what then?  Many do drop out of Therapy and don't take their Meds regularly or see their Psychiatrists unless it's Court Ordered.  Some aren't involuntarily Institutionalized like he has been in the Past, and few voluntarily check themselves into Mental Institutions.  Not all get Arrested for being Mental in Public like he has been either.  But even then, in the past Year they will only look at, he has managed not to get Arrested again for being Psychotic in Public and it shouldn't take that to receive Help and Support Services anyway.  Just becoz they haven't become a Danger to Self or Others in a Year doesn't mean they don't require Services and Support.  And... Institutionalization precludes you receiving SSI anyway, it is Suspended anytime they're Institutionalized, whether in a Mental Health Facility or a Penal Facility.

Anyway, who knows what determination they'll make, I sure don't. Sometimes you have to be flavor of the Month to Qualify for anything and not be Denied no matter how bad off they are.  Once IN The System you're more likely to be Re-Certified tho'.  And now they demand constant Re-Certifications even if it's a PERMANENT Condition, which is just stupid, but, even the VA does that with their 100% Disabled Vets with Permanent Disability.  You have to get New Letters printed out every Year to verify you're still PERMANENTLY Disabled... go figure... its as if they don't fully understand what the definition of fucking PERMANENT means?  *Eye Roll and Sighs*  But, just the Phrase: We're from the Government and we're here to Help you... is an Oxymoron in my Opinion and Years of personal Observations and Experiences.

So, you keep Swinging for the Fences and don't Forfeit the Game even when it's a Rigged Game against you.  I will bury their Asses in Appeals Paperwork and incessant Phone Calls and Office Visits if they give me nothing to lose by Denying him any Services he requires.  It and they will become my Obsession and I'll Fixate on it like a Motherfucker and be so Relentless they will lose their Minds before I Quit.  I know I can Outlast damned near anyone once it becomes my Mission to and I go totally on board the Crazy Train about it.  *Winks*  Coz, he requires the Services and to Exist and be able to Survive regardless of what lame determination they make to completely forsake him or others like him.  And so long as I Live and Breathe, I'm going Hard on behalf of my Vulnerable Loved Ones.  I don't Give In, Give Up or Give Out when it comes to their Advocacy.  Like a Rabid Dog with a Bone.  *Ha ha ha*

Allen gave Up too easily being his Advocate coz he said he didn't have it in him to keep Fighting The System.   And The Young Prince never even wants to be there being made to Perform for The System and be Interrogated like he's done something Wrong by being Seriously Mentally Ill and unable to Support himself due to his level of Disability.  It's very humiliating to go thru that whole Process and for a Paranoid Schizophrenic they are so Paranoid most of the time that they don't Trust anyone, not even those of us who Love them coz they Imagine all kinds of things that aren't Reality Based, let alone Trusting the Government and Strangers!   Sometimes The Grandson Imagines his Food is still Alive and Moving... or that it's been tampered with and Poisoned... so he has a serious Eating Disorder over that kind of Psychosis about something he simply has to do daily to thrive and Survive.  It's why he's so Thin and Gaunt and picks at his Skin, to let the "Poisons" out he Imagines he's Ingested!

Now for some Food Porn we got from DOMINOS coz I went back Today and got Two more Pizzas of the Specialty Stuffed Crust 7 Topping Pizzas for our Guests and Family for Lunch.  The Son had thawed some Meats but I wasn't sure Q's Boys would like the Asian flavor profile of it.  Kids don't like a lot of things that Adults develop a Palate for and I want them to be able to eat Lunch while here and not go Hungry.  They are Husky Boys like their Dad and look like Eaters.  *LOL*  These Medium Pizzas are hearty coz they have so much in the way of Toppings and the Stuffed Crust, so even a small size Slice is very filling.  I just Loved these Specialty Pizzas that DOMINOS has on Special right now and you can't beat the Price of only $9.99 each.   I got one with several Meats {Italian Sausage, Pepperoni and Ham} and extra Cheese... the other had Ham and Pineapple with Onion and extra Cheese.

They Season the Crust well too and really fill it with Mozzarella.  I'm sure it will all get eaten, Yesterday's Pizza was totally consumed, the Family Loved it.   I wanted more while they still had this Special on and the DOMINOS is so close to our Home I could Walk there and their Crew do an exceptional job.   Now that mebbe I got you Jonesin' for Pizza, you are Welcome.  *Bwahaha and Winks*   The Cute Paper Plates were what I got at SAVERS the other day in Two Sizes of Plates and came with matching Napkins and Drink Cups in a Bagged Lot for only $3.  Nobody had to Work Today so we had the whole day to do Nothing and that's always so nice.  The Man will see his VA Primary Doc on Tuesday and we've got to sort out the Med discrepancies he and the Cardiologist are at odds with.  If we're gonna be sent to a Civilian Specialist then I need to follow their Specialized Instruction and not Doubt it or have the VA counter it and tell us not to do what the Specialist ordered us to do.

Dr. Pham was really upset and insulted that they questioned his Expertise at the VA when they don't even have Staff that can do what he does.   And why they sent The Man to a Civilian Specialist and Hospital in the first place!!!  We had gone to the VA first, they couldn't handle what was Wrong and sent him by Ambulance to the Civilian Hospital that Specializes in Heart and Stroke Victims that is near our Home!   And it's confusing to Patients to have conflicting Opinions between Doctors, I don't like it, I don't want Mistakes made or Ego Wars between Health Professionals and not supporting each other's Prognosis, Opinions and Advice.  It's not as if we went for a 2nd Opinion, we have the utmost confidence and Trust in Dr. Pham, he literally Saved The Man's Life or he'd be Dead right now!  So, he knows what the Hell he's doing.  And I can tell he gets frustrated with the VA... as most of us do over time.

Anyway, he's on all the Meds now that he should be and that his Specialist wants him on.   And he'll be continuing with his Cardiac Rehab.   I don't know if The Man will make it thru the 30+ Cardiac Rehab Sessions he has left to do, but he's gonna try to.  I never know if they'll let him if his BP isn't in the Range they desire?   And I can't predict it will be, we take it every Morning before he goes to Rehab, if it's too High just before we go, we wouldn't be in compliance Cancelling that close to the Scheduled time his Session is set to begin.  Most of the time the early BP is Fine and then when we get there, sometimes it's elevated, not much I can do about that.  I know he gets Anxious about stuff and about leaving Home and doing something that sometimes he has done before, but doesn't recall doing before, so it's always as if for the First Time for him.  I don't know what their Expectations are for him, being he has both Physical and Cognitive Decline Issues going on simultaneously?  They're only trying to keep him Heart Healthy.

I've got a LOT of Pokemon Cards to look up and put up For Sale in the Locked Case, so have my Work cut out for me getting all of that ready.  Had a lot of the Holographic Cards this time in the Bagged Lots I Scored.  And some that look like the Vintage Pokemon Cards, in varied Condition from Pristine to obviously well Loved and Played.  *LOL*  There's a Buyer for anything Pokemon right now.   I did a Bonfire with some Paperwork to dispose of it, I no longer have a Shredder, so now we Burn sensitive Paperwork.  The Company left and we did have Pizza left, I think Q had fed his Family before they arrived, so, we'll have some for Supper as well now.   The Kids were so worn out from Swimming they didn't play Video Games, but they clearly had a Big Time and enjoy coming over here.

We've only got The Son Home with us Today so it's Quiet now Company has left.  The Man has been happily watching his Shows and except for some Tidying Up earlier and Blogging, I've had a very relaxing day doing Nothing, which is Nice.  I still have lots to do that I could be concentrating on, but relaxing is just preferable right now and so I am.  The Man has Cardiac Rehab on Mondays and Wednesdays so I do need to get some Inventory Priced to bring in Tomorrow since I spend my time waiting on him to finish at our Antique Mall foofing our Spaces and visiting with my Industry Friends there.

I have a Realistic looking Doll that Online is Valued and Sells for $125 that I got at SAVERS for $8, he still has all his original Paperwork and was a Ltd. Edition.  He looks so Real that folks thought it was a Real Child.  *LOL*  So I told Princess T to hold it right, like a Real Child so she didn't Freak Out passers-by.  *Smiles*  Otherwise she had Ricardo dangling by the Neck.  *Bwahahaa*  He's by Rotraut Schrott, a Great American Doll Line.  I think I'll put him up for $80 and see what happens?   Dolls can be iffy and remain in Inventory a long time... or fly off the Shelf... it's very random and hard to tell which are the most desirable to Doll Collectors, so I don't Buy many of them since Dolls are not my Jam and I know nothing about most of them Collectors are in the Market for.  But folks that Like Dolls REALLY Like Dolls, that I know.  *Smiles*

You do either have to keep the expensive ones in a Locked Case or up high tho' or the Feral Kids and their Families will manhandle the Hell out of them and let them Play with and abuse them.  No matter how much the Price is, coz they have no intention of reimbursing you if their Kids fuck it up.  I don't understand that kind of piss poor Parenting, but far too many people in Stores now occupy their Kids by giving them Inventory to Play with as a Distraction, when they have no Intentions of Buying it.  Or ensuring their Kid is Taught and Learns that if it's not yours and you're not Buying it, you shouldn't have any Right to handle it and Retail Stores are not a McDonald's Playland or a Playground for their Entertainment.   Or handy Babysitters for distracted Adults and Parents not wanting to supervise or pay attention to their Children while out Shopping or in Public Places.  Nobody in Public wants your Children running around like Banshees and Wrecking shit.

Kids out in Public don't Need to be Playing with something all of the time.   Learn how to Behave, be Disciplined, Act Socially Acceptable, and to be Bored sometimes, it won't Kill them.  If I see some Parents letting their Kids have something I know damned well they're not Buying, just keeping their Kids occupied, if I'm Working I'll say, "Oh, let me take that up front for you and they can play with it after it's Purchased."  *Winks*  Strong enuf Hint perhaps?  *Bwahahaha*  If they've ditched their Kid in my Showroom unattended, I'll take the Child up front and have the Parents Paged on the Loudspeaker that we have a Lost Child up front, please come and get them and keep them with you at all times for their Safety.  *Winks*  Yeah, I don't think we Shame Unfit Parenting enuf these days and Kids do suffer for the lack of proper Parenting and being Neglected and not taught appropriate Socialization.  And not everyone thinks your Lil Darlings are as Darling as you do, especially if they don't know how to Behave or Respect things or other people.

I Like Kids, and Kids usually Like me too.  I expect all Kids to act like Children and be a Work in Progress.   I just don't like the piss poor Parenting that is often displayed in Public and everyone has to Deal with becoz the Parents aren't up to the Job.  I'm pretty sure a lot of the Files we Processed at the D.A.'s Office were folks who could have benefitted more from being Raised better and knowing Right from Wrong at an early Age.  And not thinking they can get away with doing whatever they want to do that is either inappropriate or illegal and without consequences.   Not all, but definitely quite a few.  Some of these Feral Families, I see their Kids as Future Defendants of America, going thru The Criminal Justice System when their Bad Behavior just eventually catches up with them.   Anyway... I have some Anime Plush Toys to bring in also and some POP Figures and some LOL Dolls.   The Toys tend to Sell briskly compared to what I'd rather be Selling, but the Demographic just isn't there Buying the really Good Stuff that should be in an Antique Mall, so...

*******

That's all for Today folks... Dawn... The Bohemian

    1. They took that Pizza Special off now, dammit, it was a good one. They also seem to have replaced all their Staff at that DOMINO's and the last time I went in there they only had One Employee trying to do everything and she didn't even Speak or Understand English!!! So I never did get a Pizza Ordered coz she was making Pizzas, Answering Phones, and when she'd finally get up to the Register to take an Order, if you weren't a fluent Spanish Speaker, there was an enormous Communication barrier going on and you couldn't get your Order taken... or ensure it would be right? I gave up and just walked out, as did most English Speakers. I felt badly for the Uber Eats folks coming to pick up Orders who weren't Bilingual coz she couldn't Read English either so she would have to bring every Order waiting for Pickup to the Counter for them to Read it to see if it was the right Order!!!!? Yikes!!! I Hope they get that resolved. As for Ricardo, the Doll, I thought he was a real Cute and Realistic one., it's a Hispanic Doll, and I don't know much about the Line but Online they were Crazy Expensive, over $125.

  2. It sounds like if anyone can get The Young Prince across the disability finish line it's you. I haven't had a Dominoes pizza for years.

    1. I always forget how good DOMINO's Pizzas are too Kathy coz we don't go there that often either. I like BARRO's best but they're further from the House. We have a LITTLE CAESARS even closer than the DOMINO's and they have $6 Pizza all the time. It's not great, but it's Six Bucks. *LOL* And they have a BROTHER'S PIZZA near where Princess T Works, also close by but they're expensive, yet large and quite good, an Italian Family runs it. As for getting him across the Finish Line with Social Security, I will at least try my damndest to coz he needs to have support Services and Care beyond what he relies on just us for, coz what happens when we're Gone?

    1. That one was taken quite some time ago when he'd just returned from working in Alaska for a Major Resort that did Wilderness Tours, when he was still Well enuf to do that during the Summer Months and live with his Older Brother up there. He was already Retired by then but it was before his Traumatic Brain Injury and the Catastrophic Accident which happened in 2013, so it had to be before 2013 it was taken.

  4. Girl do I know that song, Total Emotional paralysis or Physical inertia. All we can do is what we can do. It's hard to let it go. I really have to work on letting the stress out of my body. It can get be really physical as well as emotional for me.
