We All Have Stories Worth Telling On This Journey Of Life

We got everything transferred back over to the New Fridge.  It's so bright with that whole Back Lighting Section and everything is clearly visible from front to back, which is Nice.  Plus, we'd cleaned everything out that had been in the Old Fridge and discarded things.  The Family LOVE this New one I selected, I do too.  It'll be a Year of Payments that aren't low, but, also have no Interest attached to the repayment of the Loan either, so, it's like using the Lender's Money for Free, so I can't complain about that, great Terms.  And I can Budget for that additional payment, I'm very disciplined about repayment agreements.

The Son started his new Job at the "Dollar Tree" Today.  He was in the midst of a Subcontracted Side Job, but the Subcontractor understood his obligation to this new Employer.  He'll still help on her Job, but this steadier Work takes a Priority coz it ensures a regular paycheck.  She used to work with him at the Cabinet Company that Laid everyone off, so she understood the situation he'd been put in last November, along with all their other Co-Workers.  She'd started her own Business coz of how unreliable working for a Company had become.  She does smaller Custom Jobs for wealthy Clients that Contractors don't wanna lose the Business of, so hire Subcontractors to do those Client's Smaller Jobs.

Anyway, they're doing Custom Cabinet Makeover in her Kitchen and are halfway thru that Job.  They'll do the Paint Work here coz it's Water Based.  She's looking for the right Commercial Property to Rent eventually when they get a larger number of Jobs.  Right now she's got The Son just working for her when she needs his area of expertise so he has some income coming in.  But, a lot of Subcontractors don't have steady work or on time payment from the Contractors who Hired them, so it's iffy work that The Son would rather keep as a Side Job.  He's been stiffed before by Contractors who don't pay their Subcontractors.   Donnie Two Dolls did that a LOT, not paying people who worked for him.

So, anyway, I dropped both Princess T off at 7:00 and The Son off at 7:30 so their Shifts work for me taking them to Work.  Both have Jobs very close by that could be Walking Distance.  I won't let her Walk Alone anywhere, being a Young attractive Female.  He can Walk if he has to, nobody is gonna mess with him.  He had Need of a Water Bottle or Tumbler to take in with him and his Sister gave him the Gayest looking Starbucks Tumbler in iridescent Rainbow that changes Color as you move it!  He's like, could you give me one that looks any Gayer?! *LMAO*  Her Son, The Young Prince, laughed and said, Yeah, it's pretty Gay... and he should know, he's Fabulously Gay.  But, it's the only Clean one she had... she procrastinates on doing her Dishes 'til they're all Dirty.

And his Nephew said, well, I have some Clean ones, but they'd be even Gayer.  I think he has some Naughty Graphics Gay Pride Ones, and no way his Uncle could or would take those in to Work at a New Job... or any Job for that matter!  *Bwahahaha*   And this Morning someone clogged the Guest Bathroom Commode so I hadda unclog that so that everyone wouldn't be using MY Master Suite Bathroom!  I don't mind the Girls using it but don't want any Guys but The Man using it.  They tend to be the ones who create problematic Bathroom Issues.  *Eye Roll*  I'd say it's a Guy Thing but that wouldn't be True, I've seen Public Women's Restrooms and Trust & Believe there are some Nasty Ass Women who Need improved Toilet Training too.  *Winks*

I'm also doing a load of our Laundry so that everything is done before the Hospital may release The Man to come Home.  I don't know what condition they intend to release him in?   I had thought they were considering OT and PT that isn't from Home, but now I'm doubting that to be the Case?   The VA Shrink has floated that Idea, thinking it would be better, I'm not disagreeing with his assessment, yet, Placement for The Man is always a daunting task to get anyone willing to accept him.  Dr. Patel, the VA Psychiatrist, knows this Houdini Act that my Husband can and will pull off every time he feels 'Captured'.  Coz The Man even once Escaped from the Psyche Lockdown at the VA Years ago... which is very damned impressive, I must say!!!  *Bwahahahaha*

Anyway, he's too Medically Fragile for a Psyche Lockdown Ward and most of his Issues are Physical that are being worked out.  And, he's too Cognitively Declined to be in a regular Medical Ward also, those Patients tend to be High Maintenance Residents at any Facility, even if they aren't all Old Soldiers with certain sets of Skills.  Staff end up spending more time chasing after them and trying to keep them where they should be and Safe, than attending to their Medical Needs.  I Get it, but, it makes for some challenging Inpatient Placements too.  So, I think he'll end up back at Home again.  And The Family are Okay with that so long as we can still meet him at his Point of Need.  When we can't tho', we gotta figure and work Alternative Placement out.

I got all our Pantry items re-organized too that are on a little Metal Shelving Unit just outside the Kitchen.  We had to move it to give clearance for the Fridges being moved in and out.  Now it's a thing of Beauty.  *LOL*  We mostly keep Canned Soups, Cup O'Ramen, Cup O'Rice-A-Roni, Cup O'Mac-N-Cheese, and Cup O'Mashed Potatoes, on it, for the Kiddos to make quick Meals or take to Work for Lunches.  You know how Young People like their Cup O Foods, they practically Exist on them.  *LOL*  I ain't gonna Lie, now we're getting much Older we rely on a lot of Canned Soups too or Vietnamese Packaged Pho, coz our Appetites are compromised and it's just enuf without wasting Foods.

So, I've done a lot of Work this Morning before 9:00 a.m. already.  My Allergies are acting up tho' and my Left Ear I can barely hear out of, so I Hope I'm not getting an Ear Infection from fluid buildup in it?  I don't want more Trips to Doc Offices or Urgent Care than we already have going on!  I did pack the Showroom and Locked Case with Fresh Merch so I got all of that done too, since the Antique Mall is within sight of the Hospital that The Man is in.  Sales so far, for the past Three Pay Periods, have been Stronger, which is much Needed.  I'm spending so much on Gas right now of the Budget, that I've had to cut back on other Essential Shopping for Food.  It's Gas or Food, we shouldn't be having to make these Choices IMO if this Administration was up to their Job and Congress was doing theirs.

But, I don't intend this to be a Political Post, I HATE Partisan Politics actually, and refrain from discussing Religion either.  Such Hot Topics for far too many folks who lose their Minds and their shit about their Politics or their Religion.  My Attitude being, Okay Then... Calm Down!   *Eye Roll and Laughs*  It's a lovely day Outside but has been climbing back up into the Triple Digits, then another Cold Spell moves in and it's Windy and unseasonably Cold, so, you never know from Day to Day what the Weather will be like anymore during the Seasons?   Climate Change is Real and quite evident, the Deniers of that must be in Deep Denial not to notice or acknowledge it.

As you can see I took loads of Eye Candy of our New Fridge, both empty and filled up.  *LOL*  Turns out my Friend Pamela just bought almost the Identical Fridge recently too!  So, now we're officially "Fridge Twins"!  *Smiles*   Okay, so she is the Friend that Loves just wandering the Aisles of "Whole Foods" like I do!  *LOL*  We're such Weirdos like that, and so have been "Twinsey Weirdos" before, in what we enjoy that probably nobody else would... or understands our Weird yet Simple Pleasures and bizarre yet Enjoyable to us Activities.  *Ha ha ha*   One time I took her to a Vegan Restaurant and forgot to tell her it was one, so she asked the Granola Guy Jesus Sandal wearing Dreadlocked Waiter, while looking confused at the Menu, "Where's the Meat?"  *Bwahahaha*

Yeah, his Facial Expression was Priceless, and he clearly thought, you must be Joking, Right?!   This was a place that Sold MJ Brownies in the Bakery Section for Heaven's Sakes!   And was called "Chakra 4"... and had the best selection of Teas ever.  *Bwahahaha*   She was like, you could have told me Dawn... and I'm like, well, I thought it was OBVIOUS, look around at the Staff and Clientele!!!  Are Words really Needed?  *LMAOROTF*  We Laughed and Laughed, so it's a fond Memory even tho' now sadly, that Restaurant Sold to another Hippie Tea Establishment and then that one went out of Business too.   I miss "Chakra 4", Princess T and I would go there for our Tea often when she was growing up, it was her Favorite Tea House.

The Shop boasted 800 single Herb Selections too and 100 Teas, and 150 Unique Herbal Formulas.   The Aroma that hit you when you walked in was Sublime.   And a lot of folks who were Kindred Spirits went there to eat, read, get their Products, and Socialize, so I really miss it.  My Tribe of Peeps frequented it and there's so few of those kinds of Shops left that were abundant even a Decade ago and especially in the early 1970's here.  They had excellent reviews and were there for many Years tho'... I still Miss it and haven't found anything comparable in recent Years.  "Chakra 4" was part of "Vegetarian Nation", I think "Loving Hut" might be the only one left Locally?

The Daughter is making some Caldo de Pollo in the Crock Pot for Today.  We just did the Grocery Shopping for Fresh Produce to put into it and I had some leftover Rotisserie Chicken {Pictured in the Full Fridge} she pulled apart the Carcass of to use, with some Bone Broth and Fire Roasted Corn, along with all the Fresh Veggies and Baby New Potatoes, it should be very tasty.  She makes a really good Caldo de Pollo, as good as the one we get from the "Food City" Deli Counter, which is excellent too if you don't wanna bother making yours from scratch.  She likes Cooking from scratch tho' and is used to doing it that way and stretching Food Budget as thin as you might Need to.  She had over 20 Years of Food Insecurities while living in Mexico and even did her Cooking on Open Fires.  So, having Modern Conveniences is easy for her now.

The Son may go work that 2nd Trades Subcontract Job after he gets off Work at the "Dollar Tree", if she still Needs his Help with the Job they're in the Process of?  It's Feast or Famine when it comes to Work, either no Work or too much Work to try to juggle.  He almost never turns down Work tho', he'd rather have too much to do than no Work and no Income and means of Support.  It was humbling to him to have to ask for basics like Food or Shelter after Working since he was 14 and at almost 40 now finding himself with a lengthy Unemployment and having to move back Home so he wouldn't be Homeless and Hungry!  Social Services won't do hardly anything for Grown Single Men with no Dependents, no matter what their level of Need, Circumstance, Disability and Hardship is.  I do think it's Discriminatory.  But I can't Change The System and the Government won't fix it to Work better for The People it Serves.

The Daughter went with TJ and Rob's Cousin, Jason, to help him with some things and go to his Appointment with him.  He drives and comes to pick her up, and has been Hiring her to do things he can no longer do.  He's Disabled and wants to remain living Independently, but doesn't have Family able to come Help, and she's willing and able to do it.  She likes Helping Older People with Disabilities or Sickness and she does a good Job for them.  When she's Feeling Well enuf she does it and when she isn't Feeling Well she just tells them and they understand she has to Work around her own significant Mental Illness Disabilities that limit her sometimes too.  So, I pretty much have the House to myself until everyone gets Home from Work.  The Laundry is Done now, the Caldo de Pollo is Cooking in the Crockpot, the Housework is semi-done, still a lot of Decluttering and Organizing to do tho' in some Rooms.

Having the New Fridge motivated The Daughter to Deep Clean the Stove and Microwave for me.   So, those look like New now too.  *Smiles*  I think I forgot to include the Pix of my Green Corn Tamales from my Cinco de Mayo Meal in the previous Post, so, here it is, Below, as Today's Food Porn Imagery instead.  *Winks*   Jason and The Daughter felt that getting some of that Irrigation Water in my Ear when I Fell during Irrigation might be now why that Ear is hurting, that makes sense.  Irrigation Water isn't the cleanest Water, it's not like it's drinkable, so, it could cause Ear Pain or an Infection to set in.  If it doesn't clear up with Homemade Remedies I'll have to go get it checked out.  We did get all the Burrs out of my Dreadlocks... I must have looked Positively Primal when those Delivery Guys showed up coz I still had Sticks, Leaves and Burrs in my Dreadlocks until Princess T got off Work to get them out for me.  *LOL*  No Wonder they thought I was a Witch, I must have looked like I just came out of the Forrest?!  *Bwahahaha*

They both had very long Dreadlocks but theirs didn't look at Crazy as mine!  *Winks*  The Tall Bilingual Guy that asked for my Advice and Help saying I was a 'Good Witch', had his up in a huge Man Bun, he had very thick Hair, but Micro Dreadlocks that were just Years long.  The other one had his hanging loose and weren't as long.  Now I'm tidied up, tho' my Granddaughter HATES touching my Dreadlocks, even tho' they just Feel like Rope and is the same texture, she said she knows it's Hair, so it just Freaks her Out to Touch them.  *LOL*  The Young Prince has considered Dreadlocks and I think his Hair would Dreadlock easily and well, grow healthier and stronger too.  He has very coarse nappy Hair that he keeps 3/4 Shaved off on the Sides and Back in a Fade, coz his Hair is so Thick that even with only 1/4 of it, it's a lot of Hair.  His Dad being part Black Puerto Rican they have Black Texture Hair.

The Son is back from his 1st Day at Work at the Dollar Store, he said it went well and he goes in Tomorrow at 5:00 a.m., since he does all their unloading when the Trucks come in to Receiving.  He likes the Work and says it's easy Work for him than what he's used to, and of coarse, no long commute to get to and from Work either like when he Worked way over there near Scottsdale across the whole Valley.  You do have to factor all of that in, especially with the price of Gas and him not having his own Transportation anymore either.   Anyway, his Trades previous Co-Worker didn't Need him after all Today, so at least he could rest some after the Part Time Job.  And The Daughter took off with Jason to do the Work he Needs and they bought me some McDonald's French Fries and a Soda, which was Sweet.  The only Food that The Golden Arches makes that I like is their French Fries.  *LOL*

It was Nice visiting with Jason, he's a really nice Guy and our Neighbor, Old Tom, is his Uncle, so TJ and Rob are his Cousins.  He looks so much like Old Tom and TJ that you can tell the Three of them are Related.  The Manager at Work did Call me Today and ask if I could still pull some Shifts, of coarse I can't.  He knew I'd cancelled the last Shift I had Agreed to Work due to The Man's Hospitalization.  I told him he's still Hospitalized so until he's more Stabilized and back Home, I can't accept any Shifts, they understand that's my Priority.  They still keep me On Call tho', when things aren't Hairy on a Personal Level I don't mind Working Fill-In Shifts and earning some Comped Space Rent.  I like the Work and it's my Happy Place to be there at the Antique Mall among Friends and Customers.

Since 2013 they know The Man has had a slew of Health Related Issues and required Full Time Caregiving, so everyone at Work is familiar with our Situation.  And they've Worked around all of that for me to take on Shifts, whether they're Regular Shifts or just Filling In for other Key Dealers who can't Honor their Regular Shifts for whatever reasons.  I haven't been in much at all even to Work my Spaces, so everyone knows when they hardly see me at all, I'm probably having Personal Issues to have to Deal with.  I don't tell many people my Business in Real Life tho', I'm more Private than I am here on the Ole' Blog.  In Real Life I keep folks on a Need To Know basis and most of them don't Need To Know.  *Winks and Smiles*   After all, most Real Life folks don't really Care about what's going on and it's just Gossip Fodder for the majority of them.  If them Knowing isn't Helpful, I don't bother to Tell them my Business just to satiate someone's Nosiness or give them something to Talk about among themselves.

Most people are just Nosy or wanna Gossip, they aren't gonna get Involved with anyone's Business anyway.  But, my Experience here in The Land Of Blog is that most Blog Readers and other Bloggers make a Deeper Connection and Genuinely Care about one another.  It's Why I like this Community more than most Real Life Social Situations.   And some Blog Friends and Blog Readers have actually then become Real Life Friends when we finally do meet in Person and that Deeper Connection has already been forged and a level of Trust Earned between us all.  Let's Face it, we in The Land of Blog really are The Best and are a Special Breed and 'Tribe' of Humans!!!  *Winks*  It's Why I've Blogged since 2009 and never Tired of being here and being a Part of this Community.  I always Hope I've become a Better Blogger too with such Prolonged Practice?  *Smiles*

I do remember in the Beginning, I didn't think anyone would ever Find my Blog out in the vastness of Cyberspace, let alone Read it... or with Regularity and become a Blog Follower/Supporter!!!  What a Pleasant Surprise it was when so many did.  And Yes, folks come and go on The Regular, just like in Real Life.  So you keep Meeting New folks and lose some of the previous folks, in a variety of ways.   And some Bloggers are even more Private than me, or even more Transparent and Vulnerable on their Blogs, so that those in Real Life don't even know they Blog, and they have their Reasons, which are quite valid, for Why that is.  You always want for this to be a Safe Space for everyone to Be.  So much in Real Life isn't anymore.  And so much in Real Life is remaining Unsaid, Unknown, Unnoticed, almost Invisible to the Society that occupies our Daily Lives in Real Life Situations.

I do try to keep it 100% Real here... but I did Read my Blog Friend Jean's recent Post over at MISADVENTURES OF WIDOWHOOD Blog about the Stories we Tell ourselves of the Stories we Tell.  And I pondered that, becoz Storytelling, being an Art Form of sorts, does take certain Liberties, and also, Stories told and retold and mebbe passed along from Generation to Generation probably morph quite a bit from the original Versions... or as we remember what happened.  Added to, embellished, subtracted from, altered to suit the Audience and Listeners.  I come from a Long Line of Storytellers, since both of my Parents come from Cultures that didn't have Written Language, Welsh and Indigenous Tribal Languages often were not in Written form ever, so everything got passed along by Word of Mouth and Storytelling instead.  And let's face it, we all have Stories worth Telling on this Journey of Life.

And that's it for this Post's Chapter of Today's Story... Dawn... The Bohemian
