So, I didn't have to abort going to my Event coz The Daughter and Mando said they'd be backup transportation if Princess T got out of Work early again before I got back. I'd Priced my 3rd Banana Box of Shirts to also take in to our Showroom after I got back. As it turned out, Princess T got off LATE Today, after I rushed back to be in Time!!! *Eye Roll* She was Mad too coz they made them stay later than usual, after stiffing them Hours for Days in a row. Well, at least it made up for some lost Hours, but it meant I had to hang around for Two Hours waiting on her. After she got off she helped me stock our Showroom with the Fresh Merch, so we got it done quickly. The 1st Week of the Pay Period had started out Strong, 2nd Week has Tanked tho' and Flatlined, dammit!
Anyway, at the Event they had a LOT less people too, there were still empty Parking Spaces when I left an Hour after Opening! That never happens, and the Checkout Line was short too, so a lot of folks were there NOT Buying. I did Buy a few Smalls, some Architectural Salvage Historic Hardware inexpensively from my Friend Big Kenny. Three were from a Pocket Door of Victorian Era, the other was an Ornate Brass Doorknob, from the same Period. And a bunch of Wasp Nests from my Friend Michelle. She was gonna Tease her Kids that it was the 1st thing she Sold on Opening Day coz they'd Teased her about even having something like that in Inventory! *LOL* I like Naturalist Displays and had a Fancy Glass Compote with Lid to put them in to Display. She had them Displayed under a Glass Cloche with a Wooden Base. I got a lot of Pathological Picture Taking done while there. So, I won't have to Crib so many Online Pixs other Talented Photographers have taken, using more of my own now in some Future Posts. *Whew*
The Weather was great all day too. I was gonna have Lunch at the "Indian Fry Bread House" but they had to evacuate the Building while a Billboard that towers over their Location was being taken down. And the Company doing the take down were not on Time so they couldn't Open and looked like they were running way behind in getting that Sign safely removed. It really ruined business for the Restaurant. So, I went over to "Thai Longan" to have Lunch instead. I got some Yellow Curry, which comes with an Eggroll, Steamed Jasmine Rice and Soup, on their Luncheon Special {Above} with some Mango Lychee Sticky Rice for Dessert {Below}.
The Son had me show him what Ingredients to use to make Chili, so he was making that in the Crockpot at Home. Now he knows how to basically make it, he can make it now anytime he wants some. He said it turned out great and they all had it here for their Lunch and there's some left over for my Dinner. I still have Shirts to put on Hangars and take in to the Showroom, we'd only taken about One of the Three Boxes full in this Day. Most of the empty Hangars were still in my Showroom and I brought Home with us so I can hang up some more Fresh Merch and bring it in later. I have Sold over 60 Smalls but nothing major, so, unless I really Kill it in these last 3 Days of the Pay Period, it won't end well. But, everyone else isn't having Strong Sales this Week either, in spite of the 1st Week being quite Strong and looking Promising.
There were some new Designers at the Event and I really liked their Creations. One was a Jewelry Designer, but none of the pieces were Priced so I just Photographed some for the Blog and will research Online to see Price Point. Usually if nothing has a Price on it, it's expensive and out of my league, so, I didn't even ask the Artisan. Tho' her Story she was telling a couple other Customers interested in her Creations was quite fascinating and the Jewelry was unique and I really like a lot of pieces. The Oldest Granddaughter of the Trio in Mexico just sent us this new Pix of herself {Below}. She was telling her Mama that the Middle One got a Job working for her Boyfriend's Mom, who she's living with, at a Bodega that his Mom owns. We're very Proud of her, she's the Prodigal of the Three and has Special Needs. But, she seems to enjoy having a Job now and her Boyfriend's Mom Trusts her to run the Shop becoz she is being so responsible.
The Son helped me clean out the Fridge and wipe down the Shelving. Every so often we have to make sure nothing in there has been forgotten by whoever put it in there and it gets pushed to the back of a Shelf. The biggest offense is forgotten leftovers. Personally, I usually just toss what I'm not gonna eat all of coz I know the likelihood of eating it later sometimes falls by the wayside. The Man almost always doesn't eat all of what he has and insists he'll eat it later, but never does. Now, mostly, if one of the Kids doesn't want to polish it off I just toss it rather than waiting a couple of Days and having to do that anyway. *Le Sigh* Sometimes there's Jars of an unusual Condiment used for mebbe one Special Dish someone made and won't make again. To me, just toss that Condiment then if it requires refrigeration coz it's not gonna get used.
And, packets from Fast Food, good Lord, the Family is notorious for keeping those things and it's usually only Salsa Packets that actually are worth keeping coz they will actually get used. The rest, toss... not gonna get used in any reasonable amount of time, if ever. So, The Son and I turned on some extreme Episodes of "Hoarders" as motivation and giggles as we did this task. *LMAO* The Daughter came in and claimed she was gonna help, but didn't, coz she got Snarky with her Brother when she realized he had a Drink and she didn't have one. And, he wasn't gonna share the little bit he had coz he knows she'd drink it all and isn't capable of rationing to ensure she'd have enuf for another day. He's been Sharing Cigarettes, but said she wastes a lot of Tobacco and doesn't have the Money to buy her own, so, it's been a Problem too.
He's a Smoker and a Drinker, but can do without and she can't seem to so when there's no Work, he's trying to impress upon her, then you do without until you manage to Earn some $$$ coz Mom isn't supporting everyone's Addictions/Bad Habits. I don't Smoke nor Drink so I won't pay for Vices I don't even have. Everyone is Lucky to have a Roof over their Head and Food on the Table, if you have Vices, time to give them up if you have no Income to purchase whatever it is, that's my Opinion about Smoking and Drinking. Or even Gambling, which this Family doesn't do but I know Families who have a Gambler in their midst and it always becomes problematic when they want to borrow Money from Relatives to Gamble with. It's an Addiction like any other.
She and Mando had done some Work Yesterday, but I don't know how much they Earned or if they did the Work for something in Trade. They often do Work for folks they know and sometimes they can only give them something if they can't afford to pay for the Help. If it's mutually agreed upon then that has worked out for all parties concerned. Some of the folks are Elderly or Sickly but can't afford to hire Professionals to do whatever it is coz it costs too much. Sometimes The Daughter and Mando have worked all day long for someone like that and not gotten much for all that work, but, they felt they helped someone in Need. They don't feel exploited and they like the folks they're doing the work for, so it's like a good deed. But they really do Need paying Work. Neither of them being all that Employable, him due to Health, her due to Mental Health, it's rough to make that Sustainable.
This is now the 4th Letter saying something completely different than the other Three did for why they're taking the Money out of my Check for Part D, which, I'm ineligible for due to TriCare Benefits covering my Prescription Drug Coverage. Plus, I just had Express Scripts thru TriCare refill my Ozempic and the Co-Pay Price went up yet again, by a considerable amount. So the last thing I want is to also having a deduction for Rx Coverage for a Program I don't even have and don't Qualify to fucking Receive! It's enuf my Rx is costing me $200+ Monthly in Co-Pays now for what the Government Contractually Promised The Man were part of his EARNED Benefits to receive for Life at NO COST for himself and his Spouse, for Serving 39 Years of Military Service!!! He fulfilled his part, they reneged on their part of the Contractual Agreement that should have been Legally Binding to them too to Honor and fulfill.
You just keep feeling Screwed Over by a Government that isn't Honorable any longer. Well, to be Fair the Native Americans learned that since the very beginning of Treaties broken by our Government and not Honored, so I'm not all that Surprised. Anyway, The Young Prince contacted me to say he has a Flight set for February 2nd, he's coming without any of his stuff so I'm confused about why he'd come again without his things? It just means he'll be having to go back to New Mexico again. There's not a lot of common sense going in to what he or Allen are doing and spending Money on IMO with the back and forth to Arizona.

I'm getting more the sense Allen needs the Caregiving Break and is willing to send him here for a period of time to get one? And doesn't really have the Money for a Divorce or to send all The Young Prince's Possession to Arizona and get it all here? That's my Take on it anyway. The Young Prince almost never is tied enuf to Reality to Critically Think and function Independently, which is Why he needs full time Caregiving. Just when he was back Home for a while I realized the level of Care he requires is still considerable to ensure his Safety and Hygiene is adequate and not deferred. He'd be one of those SMI Folks they profile on Extreme Hoarders who lacks function enuf to have a Sanitary Environment without a lot of Help or making Good Decisions on a consistent basis that avoid risky behaviors. Been thru it with his Schizophrenic Mother for Two Decades longer than I've been thru it with him. It never Ends... when there's No Cure.
