An Avalanche Of Food P*rn

I put a * in the Title so as not to have Blogger get the Vapors again about a Post they deem "Forbidden" and put me on Warning over a mere Word, to make it harder for Dear Readers to view it even if they want to.  *LOL and Winks*  So, "Domino's" is having half price Pizza all Week, so I felt it the perfect opportunity to try out some of their Specialty Pizzas on The Cheap and got a Trio of them half price.  Above was a Philly Cheese Steak one.  Below was a Meatzza Lovers.  And Below that one was the People's Pizza Deluxe.  They were all quite good, my Fav being the People's Pizza Deluxe one.  I'll be heavy on the Food Porn coz my Friend Pamela is still on her European Cruise with her Oldest Daughter and sending me the most Gourmet Food Porn to Share, so I Cribbed a lot of that for Blog Fodder, she knows I will.  *Winks*  I'm having Gourmet Food Envy right now, those Cruises and European Restaurants totally Show Out with their Cuisine and Artistry of Presentation!!!   Food Prep is an Art Form and Creative People excel at it for that reason.

Anyway, I know none of you minds the abundance of Food Porn Imagery coz... well... duh!!!  *Winks*  I went to "Dollar Tree" and just in time to shop and bring The Son Home.  He said he tried waking me this Morning but I was too sound Asleep so he just Walked to Work, got there in plenty of time so it was no Big Deal and he didn't wanna really rouse me if I was that tired.   I Woke about 20 Minutes after he'd left.  He's getting extra Hours since one of the Supervisors left, they've been giving him some of that Guy's Hours and Training him to do other stuff, which, buys him more Hours too coz he can fill-in now where ever he's needed most.  I think he'll be up to Full Time in no time.  They Love his Work Ethic and how efficient he is and how quickly he Learns everything.  They know he's over qualified but he doesn't mind, he likes all the work so far.  It's closer to Home and better Co-Workers than The Trades, which sometimes has too much turnover and often hires Problem People.

So, now that you all might be Craving Pizza... you're Welcome.  *Winks*  But it's gonna get ever better with what a Friend Shared from her Cruise in the way of Food Porn!!!  It's only 11:30 and I got all my errands done for the day and can kick back now.  Our AC Guy found no problems at all, which was a huge relief.  While checking the Units he had it to sub-zero temps in here so I was glad to set the Thermostats back to a comfortable level so we didn't have to get out heavy Winter Attire to wear, while it's 108 Outside but Inside it was Freezing for us!  *LOL*   This Month is The Son's Birthday and my 'Baby' will be turning 40!   I gave him Forty Bucks for turning 40 this Month, telling him it's a Ghetto Birthday Budget coz of expenses, he understands and laughed about it.  The Older Kiddos don't expect anything now, they know we've always helped them out when they've most needed it.  My Brother hasn't been able to reach his Oldest Son yet, he's 40 also, Three Months Older than our Son.

My Brother hasn't been feeling well so I do Hope he can connect with his Son before he gets any Sicker and mebbe can't.  At least his Son did reach out and initiate via FB Messenger first and give his Dad a way to contact him directly now.  My Brother and I are close and it grieves me that we live in different States and due to circumstances regarding his Health and The Man's Health, make traveling between Cali and Arizona virtually impossible now for both of us.  I've traveled to Cali more in recent Years becoz of his Health, but he understands I have a lot of responsibility here so can't just take up and take off anywhere anytime and certainly can't even recall the last time I could take a Vacay, it's been so long.  Any out of State trips were due to Emergencies, like our Mom being put in Hospice and near her End.  That was my last Trip to Cali to see our Mom before she Died, and I think that was over a Decade ago now.  Not exactly a 'Vacation' to go see a Dying Parent.

Mostly I've spent the past couple Decades Living Vicariously via all the Vacays Friends and extended Family have taken.  And so now I'll show you my Friend Pamela's European Cruise Food Porn she Shared so I can Live Vicariously thru her Cruise Experience.  I've yet to go on any Cruises, tho' it's been on my Bucket List for at least 2.5 Decades now to go on at least ONE before I Kick the Bucket!  *Le Sigh*  The Man and I were supposed to go back to Hawaii, where we spent our Honeymoon, on our 25th Anniversary, and then before it he got really Sick and hasn't been Well since, so we're past 36+ Years now and it will never happen together.  And it wouldn't be the same going without him, even if I could.  I've come to terms with that and don't mention it anymore coz I don't want him feeling bad about a Promise he could not fulfill thru no fault of his own.  You don't intend to get really Sick or really Disabled, it just happens.

Full Time Unpaid Caregivers know that your own Life just gets put on Hold indefinitely, there are no set 'Shifts' you're relieved from and some Co-Workers take over for you, or Vacations, or Time Off, like Paid Caregivers doing it for a Living get.   You often don't Qualify for Respites unless your Loved One is Flavor Of The Month for whatever ails them and is given expanded Services, Benefits, Payments/Reimbursements, or Caregiver Respite Coverage.   Sometimes the only Breaks we will get is when our Loved One is Hospitalized In-Patient, but then, I do go visit every day when that's the case, to ensure they're doing okay and to keep adequately updated on their progress and don't feel Forgotten.  Since The Man has Memory Care Issues he can often get confused, agitated and anxious when things aren't familiar or he forgets where he's at or why and doesn't recognize anyone there.  It's comforting then to have a familiar Face showing up to ease that.

Paul the PT just called to say he'll be here an Hour earlier coz he had a Cancellation, which is Fine, The Man won't be as tired or getting Sundowners yet if he comes earlier, so will do better.  I don't know what time Princess T will be getting off Work either, likely around 3:30-4:00 p.m. so we'll be done now with the PT by then.   DONE!  He did really well again, Paul was very pleased with how well he's doing.  And now Below is some Retail Therapy I did for Princess T at her Store, she's Delighted with them all and they make Cute Blog Fodder:

Overdosed on Cuteness yet?  I think they're adorbs and she Collects them.  Resale they'll be easy if and when she tires of the Collection and we made Money on the Buy, getting them at a Chazza.  She had seen some at "Bookman's" Used Bookstore but didn't Buy them coz they were larger sized and she doesn't have room for bigger things now.  The Bunny one with the little figure in it's Belly, that can be removed, is my Fav of the Eight we've Scored so far.  It's slightly larger too than the rest.  The one at "Bookman's" was like that one, but even much larger and has changeable Eyes that rotate to different expressions.  Of coarse Eli The Cat got jealous that I was Photographing her Toys and not him so I obliged him... but look how disgustedly MAD he looks now that he was Photographed last, like an Afterthought.  *Bwahahahaha*

NO!, I will NOT even Look at you now, I'm MAD you were saying how Cute those stupid Toys were and making a fuss over THEM and not ME!!!

Well, Okay then, if you insist, but this is my MAD contemptuous Face you're getting!   But, I do give Good Face even when I'm upset!  And I'm still Cuter than those stupid Toys!!!  I even got Groomed for my Photo Shoot and my Fur is now softer than a Bunny's!  *LOL*

I thought this was Clever usage of an articulated Art Mannequin.  And now back to our regularly Scheduled High End Food Porn, as brought to you by my Friend Pamela on her European Cruise.  Very Uptown presentation, I was salivating at each course she Shared and Cribbed most of them.  Just too hard to choose which looked the most delectable or the most Beautifully and Artfully presented Dish... just OMG, this is Fine Dining at it's best:

Lord have Mercy, are you in a Fine Food Induced Coma yet?  *LOL and Winks*   And I got great News from Pamela that FINALLY we're getting Two "Whole Foods" in the West Valley, one out near where I used to live at the McManse, which does have high income Residents in Million Dollar Properties out there.  It will be at Waddell & Sarival Roads.  The other Location in Glendale will be occupying a Building once housing a "Big Lots", that is near "Arrowhead Town Center Mall", one of the only Indoor Malls still doing really well and the area developing.

You might recall I looked at what we called the Contemporary Marilyn Monroe House which was also a Mini Farm Property and we passed on it, in that location too, becoz it had severe Plumbing Issues when our Inspectors checked it out before we Signed anything to Close on it.  This Property was better and had more bang for our Buck, plus I preferred this Location only slightly more than that Location... and Location is everything in Real Estate.  Both "Whole Foods" are close enuf for me to Shop at more regularly than going Eastside, where the rest are located. There's also a new "Trader Joe's" near us that I shop at now quite often and it's near a new "First Watch" Restaurant.  And of coarse our newer and closer "Sprouts".  Plus all the other great new Restaurants.  Our area is booming with good development now and appealing to a broader demographic with more disposable income... and bringing more Jobs.

I'm still infatuated with the Wild Flocks of Lovebirds, Parrots, Parakeets that have formed in the West Valley too.  There are flocks in the East Valley as well, I often see them visiting The Desert Botanical Gardens in the Eastside.  They escaped captivity in the 1980's and now number around 3,000 in Urban areas around here, so you see them fairly often.  Especially around Date Tree Groves, where they like to Nest.  I've been trying to a attract our Flock here at the Mini Farms of the mostly Peach Faced Lovebirds, by planting more Sunflowers and putting out more Exotic Bird Seed in our Feeding Station for the Wild Birds.  I now get a Live Feed of sightings and Photography of them from around the Valley to Share here as Blog Fodder.

Nature is so Wonderful and Arizona has a lot to offer in Natural Splendor... both Native and Introduced.  I'm not fast enuf to take great Bird Images, and don't own a Professional Grade Camera, nor have the Talent of this level of Professional Photography.   So I'm glad people who do are Sharing what they're capturing thru the Eye of their Lens so we get a closer look at these Magnificent Animals that are thriving in our Communities now.  Today it got to 113 Degrees so I mostly stayed Inside due to the Extreme Heat Warnings out.  I'm still on Medications for what ailed me so am not 100% yet even tho' I Feel much better.  I'll be on the Meds about 9 more Days to clear it up completely.
