So, I went to "Sprouts" to get Grocery Essentials we were out of, like Eggs & Milk, and they had their Holiday Food Gift Items marked 90% off. So I got these Hot Tea Bombs, which have little Marshmallows inside the White Chocolate {which I can eat} and dissolve in Warm Milk in the flavors of Pink Chai, Bergamot Cre'am, Classic Chai and London Fog. Not sure what Flavor a London Fog is? But right now the one I'm drinking seems to be one of the Chai's and it's really good and relaxing on a Sunday Afternoon. For only 99 Cents a Box instead of Eight Dollars, I was a Player. *LOL* My Pix is not in great Focus, but beside it are some Peppermint Covered Roasted Almonds also on a deep, deep Discount and melt in your Mouth, deliciously decadent.
There, that's better, more in Focus of the Box that still has all of them in it. *Winks* I am impressed with the one I'm presently drinking, definitely worth what I Paid on Sale. And it was Fun to watch the Bomb dissolve and pop out it's contents of mini Marshmallows that then dissolve too to make a frothy delicious Hot Beverage with a very nice Flavor Profile that is very Uptown. Below, The Daughter made the Birthday Offerings for a Friend of theirs that they do Work for, he turned 67. On Social Media some Friends thought it was for me, Nope, I'm Older than that, but it's flattering for you to think I'm Younger. *Winks*
The Daughter didn't space them last Three out as much as she did the first Two. *LOL* And she was on Birth Control for all Five, so, she's Fertile Myrtle and kept begging each time for Sterilization. But, being SMI neither Country would do it, not at her request, not at ours. And only did it after No. 5 Child was Born coz The Daughter almost Died giving Birth to the one that just had the Birthday. And they just then HAD to in order to ensure her Life was Saved and they wouldn't have Five Young Kiddos with a Dead Mother. True Story, the Middle One she gave Birth to in Mexico wasn't even Delivered by a Doctor. She was in Guaymas visiting Relatives and the Woman in the next Bed to her, who'd just given Birth herself, Delivered the Baby!!! Crazy, huh?
So, the Story got Crazier even than that. The Hospital wanted to get Paid and she refused coz they hadn't actually Delivered the Baby, her Roommate at the Hospital had. She said if anyone was Owed Money, it would be that Woman. *LOL* Now, the Hospitals and Community in Guaymas weren't as familiar with how Loca The Daughter is. So, said she couldn't leave 'til she Paid the Bill. She said it was Okay, she'd have her Family bring her Suitcases and her other Two Older Children, and she'd just Live there now with her New Baby and Two other Toddlers! They couldn't get her out of that Hospital fast enuf and forgave the 'Bill' of the Loca Americana. *Bwahahahahaha* Jails in both Countries had a hard time getting rid of her too when she'd refuse to leave, so eventually they just quit Arresting her for being Crazy in Public. *LOL*
Here on this side of the Border they'd beg me to come get her when her Sentence was over and she wouldn't Leave, and talk her into leaving with me. I'd show up with my DA's Logo on my Work Shirts and it was a bit of a running Joke that I also had the entire "Sheriff Joe's" Jail Postcard Collection and some infamous Pink Underwear she'd Stolen and they just let her Keep to make her just fucking Leave. *Bwahahahaha* Sheriff Joe, when he was in Office, actually Liked The Daughter and often had her taking Care of the Shelter Animals the Jails took Care of and Wash his Car for him. Below is a Pix of her back then, she looked like Butter wouldn't melt in her Mouth and Mental Health Court was always Kind to her at Sentencing, I must say. She had to flow thru the AG's Office tho' due to me Working for the DA's Office. I'd just Smile and Nod at the Judges, they knew it's hard to have an SMI Child flowing thru The Systems. I've never NOT been Proud to be her Mom or Ashamed of her.
Coz she's great with Animals and Old People, and did a good Job for Sheriff Joe, is a good and hard Worker and Respectful of her Elders, just Bat Shit Crazy. She said he'd always give her Candy Bars and said if she ever Needed a Recommendation, he'd provide one. Of coarse she's Unemployable, too risky for Employers, but it was a Sweet thing for him to do and say. Another Funny True Story of whenever she was Locked Up, she was always the Best Dressed Inmate. With the Newest Striped Uniform, no Faded Ones, and the brightest Pink Flip Flops that matched, coz otherwise she'd refuse to wear anything and go around Buck Naked! And, she Liked going to Solitary, unlike many Inmates, Solitary Confinement was her Happy Place, so she'd do really Bad and Crazy stuff anytime she wanted to be sent there. *Bwahahaha* Below is also her, 8 Months Pregnant with The Young Prince, I asked for a "Pregnancy Shot" of her, like Daughters do for their Moms... this is her Version. *Bwahahahaha*
Her Pregnant Belly is up on the Trunk! The Cop was one that knew them all Well, he'd picked them up many times, this time he knew the Joke for her Mom, so, took the Pix for them! She said some Guys are Cool like that and wanna be "Captain Save A Ho"!!! *LOL* At the time she was very Young, about 18-19 or so when all this was happening, and shortly after giving Birth to him, she was Locked Up again for Stealing my Truck and taking Police on a High Speed Chase thru Three Cities. Then tried to make it Suicide by Cop! *Le Sigh* She'd been convinced by me that Suicide was an unforgivable Sin, so she wanted someone else to do it TO her, which is the only way she's still Alive, I'm quite Sure of it. Coz she don't Mind Dying, never has, probably never will.
Most of the Officers in Several Cities of the Metro Phoenix Area know her and have had Dealings with her back then. They knew she'd just had a Baby, was in and out of Mental Health Institutions or Penal Ones constantly, depending Upon the Mental Health Courts determinations of appropriate Placement. So, often they took Pity and it's just a lot of Drama and Headaches for them, not good PR. But, they also knew it would take Three Corn Fed Young Men or more to Take her Down too, she's Scrappy and Fights like a Honey Badger. Plus, Crazy folks are Strong as fuck and don't respond hardly at all to Pepper Sprays or Tasers, it barely Phases them and serves to usually Agitate them more. She's been Tased Twice in a row before, and just ripped them out and gone more Crazy. She might have looked frail, but her Strength was insane for her Size... still is. You gotta Finesse the Situation if you're Wise.
So they called us to come Talk her Down, so they could take her to Mental Health, but, they found Dangerous Drugs on her, so she ended up in Jail instead. She was usually Smarter and more well Versed in Criminal Law than her Court Appointed Attorney Public Defenders. Judges always told me, if she were Well, she's make an excellent Defense Attorney. *LOL* I mean, she's Crazy, not Stupid, she has a very High IQ in fact. Well, she Weighed only about 93 Lbs. and used to Slip her Ankle Cuffs so they'd make her wear several Pair of Socks, but she was a tiny little Sprite and LOOKED like an Easy Mark and Sweet Young Thing to other Inmates. So, one day she's on the Phone to me and I hear a big gruff Female Voice that sounded very Intimidating to me, threatening her to, "Give me the Phone, Bitch..." *Ruh Roh, now I knew things were going very Sideways*
Apparently it was some Middle Aged very large Female Lesbian that nobody liked coz she Bullied, intimidating everyone and threatened everyone constantly. So next thing I hear a Crash-Bang-Boom, like an old Batman Cartoon Series Balloon Noise Comic Book. The Daughter gets back on the Phone quite Calmly and tells me we have to Talk fast now, coz they'll be coming to get her and probably make her go back to Solitary again now. Why? "Coz I gave that Bitch the Phone like she asked, but right upside her Head and then I Choked her out with the Phone Chord... so she's laying on the Floor now unconscious, but, I don't Think I Killed her??? And nobody much Likes her anyway, even the Guards, so, she had this coming. She will need Hospitalization, for Sure Mom, but, they probably won't Buy that she just Fell Down." Yeah, she didn't get Bullied much, needless to say. Apple doesn't fall far from my Tree. And we got Stories! *Winks*
BTW: The Friend with her in this recent Pix, Mary, is the one also standing beside her at the Police Car and in Leopard Print Hoochie Minidress, when they BOTH were quite Preggy and doing the "Preggy Pix For Our Moms" Joke!!! Their other Friend Becky, on the other End of that Pix at the Police Car, yep, also Preggy too, Three Knocked Up Teenagers who were Girls Gone Wild and totally Out of Control during that Season of their Lives!!! Mary and Becky ain't Right either and are about as unhinged as The Daughter, then... and now... since... no Cure for Crazy. Juvenile Courts were really absolutely no Help to Families whatsoever and you had to Emancipate your Minor to not be Legally liable for whatever Crazy shit they did as Juvies even if they no longer lived with you. We still know both of them to this Day and they Survived Belonging to The Streets for a long time too.
Young People can and do put themselves in Bad Situation even if they come from Caring Families, but especially if they don't. This is why the Epstein Files need to be released without Perp Name Redactions. Let it be known whose been exploiting Underaged Girls, or Boys, or those who are Unwell and easily exploited and taken advantage of, and doing Criminal Acts to them, especially for Profit. And you know these Billionaires are Profiting from whatever they're involved in, be it legal or illegal activities, it's all about the Money and the Power to them. So, just Follow the Money and what Power Plays are being used to Cover Up whatever they're doing or have done, or whose been Paid Off with Hush Money. One thing I do know, unless they're stopped, they'll keep on doing it and piling up the Victims and traumatized Families in their Wakes.
Anyway, I know my Daughter is fortunate to be Alive after all she's been thru, and she said Rich and Powerful Men still do what they've always done, and far too many are Freaks like that, which is why we're so protective of our Grandkids. I'm glad that Princess T surrounds herself with a good Inner Circle who look out for her and Protect her. She was very indulged by all her Male Friends for Christmas, and she sometimes feels conflicted about being showered with Gifts by Young Men who are just Friends and she wants to keep it that way. She appreciates the Thoughtfulness and Friendship Gifts, but, it can be awkward if the Young Man is Straight and not Gay.
Her Gay Boy Posse, no problem, they shower her with Gifts all of the time and it's not awkward, they're not having some kind of Crush, they're not interested in Girls. Everyone knows she has a long time Boyfriend and so, Male Friendships can walk that fine line. I have many Male Friends too, they always indulged me, so I understand how conflicted and awkward it can sometimes be tho'. But, I must say, her Friends do Buy great Gifts and are very generous. And mebbe it is just a show of actual Friendship. Of coarse Girls have Gifted her too and then sometimes she found out they had a Girl Crush on her, and were Fan Girling big time, talk about REALLY then awkward as a Straight Woman if your Fan Girl isn't and coming on to you! *Smiles*
Oh, it didn't last long mind you, they all came back with Friends in tow, so, it's back to a busy Hive of Activity and Young People. *Smiles* I like their Friends, and I don't Socialize much outside of Home, so I don't mind at all when they drop by to visit. I got The Man fed, if you don't make some REAL Food for him these Days, he won't eat anything but whatever stuff he shouldn't have in abundance. *Le Sigh* It's like reverting to early Childhood, where Children eat things they shouldn't and would avoid Food if they can get away with not eating anything Nutritious or Healthy. He likes Soups so I bought a lot of them in many different hearty Flavors, so if he only ate Soup every Day I'd be Okay with getting that down him. He's been Testy all day, I know not Why? Sometimes he's Cranky for no apparent reasons anyone can fathom.
The Kiddos all just say, "Well, he's a Grumpy Old Man, that's all Gramma, they all seem to get that way." *Bwahahaha* I dunno tho', I know some Old Men who aren't that way, but then again, they still have all their faculties too and mostly decent Health, so they have much to be Happier and Pleasant about I guess. The Man has a lot to be Angry and disappointed about his overall Health and how dependent he is on having to have a Full Time Caregiver, which, sometimes I know he's resentful of the loss of his Independence, which, is understandable. I can't give him a Solution to that Problem for him, I can be an adept Fixer, but some things can't be Fixed, you know?
The Above Two Pixs are The Daughter's Paternal Grandparents. This Year we got their Christmas Card returned. I think they may have Died or gone into Long-Term Care, as they are over 90 now if still among the Living? Dear People, The Man and I really Liked them. Her Mom as well, I remained quite Close even tho' I never Married their Son who was Gramma Edith's Oldest Grandson. Edith and I became Closer than she seemed to be to any of her Biological Grandkids in fact. She'd been a Paralegal, so our Career Paths were similar in many ways and we'd have those Deeper Discussions that she said her Grandkids weren't interested in talking about or knew little about either. She was quite a Scholar and a fascinating Woman, she didn't even Retire until she was almost 80 Years Old!!! I do Wish I had Pixs of her, if I do I can't recall nor find them. She came to Arizona to visit The Daughter and I, and got to know our whole Family too. These Grandparents moved to Arizona from Indiana to Retire here permanently.
I only just found out that The Daughter's Bio Father returned to Arizona, he'd been living in Montana, moving there from Arizona. But he's a Senior now, Living in a Retirement Community close by, and most Seniors migrate to Warmer Climates in their Retirement Years. I don't expect to have any Contact with him and that's Fine with all of us. *LOL* I'm not Eating Out hardly at all, so dredging up some Older Restaurant Food Porn for ya. I miss Eating Out when we can't, it's something that The Man and I always Budgeted for coz we enjoy it so much as our Recreational Pursuit, since, he can't do much else Recreationally anymore. And most of our favorite places have Specials going on most of the time to take advantage of. I'm kinda Jonesin' for those Chicken Wonton Tacos from "Appleby's" just looking at them in this Pix. *LOL*
We only ended up with about 8 Christmas Cards, so trimming next Year's List will more than cut it in half now, Fine with me, less to send out. I let Recipients take the Lead on whether to reciprocate or end it. It's just a Card and a Stamp, if you can't make at least that much effort or Investment in anyone you Know, then, really, do we need to keep in Touch at all, have any pretenses, and assume there is any meaningful Relationship, I think NOT. Swipe Left. As The Son does Love to say, it's Fine to drop you then, since, we're all Friended Up. *Bwahahahaha* I know I had One Lifelong Senior Friend who often lamented she had no Friends left but me. But I didn't see her reaching out to nurture or cultivate any Relationships either, even with her own Family. So, eventually, she did it to me too and I felt, this is WHY you have no-one, it's on you, not on them. You've neglected and let all your Relationships Die. She will likely Die Alone I suspect. It's Sad, but inevitable as her Outcome.
Unfortunately too many folks assume you don't have to Invest in the People in your Life, or Invest in your Finances either, and if you fail to Invest Wisely, everything will be just Fine. It won't be. Relationally and Economically you'll end up Bankrupt or in Lack, mebbe even irreparable Crisis, with either one if you neglect both or either. When I Debt Counseled folks in major Financial Crisis in my 1st Corporate Life coz they found themselves in Collections, Bankruptcy or Foreclosure, most have more excuses for the Situation they brought upon themselves in most Cases, and hadn't even thought about Solutions. And, they kept doing the same things that weren't Working and yet expecting different results without Changing. They expected I guess to be Bailed Out by someone else??? To have Grace extended perpetually even tho' they continued to Frustrate Grace already extended to them. At some point, it won't be, you've become a Lost Cause, or not Worth the Effort and Work, and nobody will even bother.
Let's Hope you got some Stories you're making happen and they'll all be good ones to tell my Friends... or at least highly Entertaining... Dawn... The Bohemian
