Watched another good NetFlix Liam Neeson Movie "Cold Pursuit" {2019} which was an Action Thrilled Dark Comedy, really Loved it! The Dark Humor in it was hilarious and unexpected. It's good there's so many older Movies I haven't seen, so they're all New to me. *Smiles* I've got to go to Work Tonight and I'm not looking forward to it coz I've had bad Vertigo due to an Inner Ear Infection. Makes shit Spin until I feel dizzy and nauseous, especially if I try to lay down, so, haven't gotten good Sleep. I've got Rx Meds for it, which stopped the Ear Pain but not the Vertigo yet. It's a fast Spin too, so, makes your balance be way off, so I've got to be extra Careful upon Waking up until the Spinning stops and I don't feel so dizzy I'd risk a fall. I did go to the Doc for it, hopefully the Ear Drops prescribed work in about a Week.
Princess T got her Tree Decorated when she got Home from her Boyfriend's. It looks so Cute and is a Hello Kitty Themed Pink Ornament Tree. The Son Shared some of his Trip up North in Pixs with me now, he knows they'll end up in the Blog. *Winks and LOL* He doesn't take a lot of Photos but knows I want him to take just a few, so he obliges... Good Son. *Smiles* His Friend Q came by last Night, he just had a Birthday and was saying he's 40. I don't think he is, but the Cake his Wife made said he was halfway to 80, I think it was a Joke, I think he's The Son's Age, so late 30's still. Still, being in The Trades they are often called The Old Men at any Workplace now, it's a Young Man's Game. I think it's time to make a Career Change so something less Physically demanding and punishing IMO. The Son is super Intelligent so he could do Corporate Work easily, but thinks it's Boring.
Yeah, but you make the Benjamins I remind him, and usually better Retirement and Benefits in the Corporate Grind. I always made even more Money than The Man in my Corporate Grind, but he had a better Retirement in The End with Military and DOD Pensions and VA Disability Pension as well. Anyway, I'm trying to get The Son to set himself up better as he's Aging, coz he's nearing 40 and that's the tipping point of Employers then not wanting to Hire an Aging Employee. I know more out of Work folks who are over 40 than under 40, just sayin'. Get's really Ageism related after 40 when it comes to Employment. Yes, illegal, but we all know what illegal practices still prevail and discrimination never went away, in fact, it's escalating now.
It's LATER: Work last Night went well, wasn't busy, but Mondays never are. Which is why they need some kind of Promotion like a Senior Day or SOMETHING to draw people in who otherwise might not show up on a Monday, but have the Time to. Most other Antique Malls have a Senior Day, a Military Discount every day, ours doesn't and it makes no sense Why. We're the closest one to a Military Base and Seniors abound in Arizona coz it's a big Retirement State, and we're allegedly an Antique Mall, and Seniors are most likely to actually Buy an Antique or Vintage item. Anyway, I was filling in for Jackson, whose likely on another Cruise, he takes them all the time, it's good to be Jackson. *LOL*
The other Co-Worker was the Retired Phoenix Cop, who made a snide remark about Jackson's numerous Cruises, it sounded extremely jealous IMO. Either that or he doesn't like Jackson, I dunno? But, he doesn't particularly like me either, ever since he learned I'm Retired from the DA's Office. *Winks* So, he tends to be Frosty with me, The Man has been an Undercover Narcotics Cop when he was briefly out of the Military and agreed with me about the possible 'Why'. Both of us know that the only Cops who generally dislike the DA's Office are ones who've been under Investigation. *LOL* Anyway, judging by the Co-Worker's general arrogant uppity Attitude, he's one of those Cops quite full of himself, even in Retirement, so, anything could have been possible, I won't even speculate. I don't like him and he don't like me, but I'm Cordial and he is a good Worker so I can at least respect that.
And, he's got The Eye for anyone entering The Mall who is Shady and Lord knows we Need that there with all the Loss Prevention Issues. He once Saved my Vendor Friend Ken from having a $1,500 piece of Merch walk out the Door unpaid for! *Whew* It was a fucking Anvil, so the Two Thieves were Ballsy, I'll give 'em that. *Bwahahaha* They were pretending to be Vendors but fucked up when Retired Cop asked them their Vendor Number and for their Badges the Mall Issues us. They of coarse didn't have a Badge and said their Vendor Number was #1. Well, we all know Vendor No. 1, our Friend Rick and his Canine Sidekick, so, that Lie couldn't and didn't fly. Plus, the Anvil had the Vendor's Number on it, which was Ken's. They were arrested for attempted Grand Theft. If you have an Ex-Cop pulling his Rotation at the Greeter Station, I must say nothing gets past him that shouldn't, so Kuddos for that.
Anyway, he was still Frosty last Night, I know his Son and DIL, who are both very Nice Young People that I've also Worked with when they fill in for him. I like them both, complete opposite personality to him. And recently his DIL had shown me a Pix of their Daughter, whose absolutely Adorbs, and I told him what a Cutie she was. He abhors having to make Nice with me or even Speak to me, so, I kinda set him up for that, who can be TOO Frosty when you're genuinely saying their Grandbaby is Adorbs and they should at least be Civil enuf to respond? *Winks and Smirks* I'm sure he's a good Grandpa, he looks like a Hard Ass who would still melt like Butter in the Hands of that Beautiful Baby Girl. *Smiles* And I know from the DIL that he often Babysits her for them, and that's great that he's a very interactive Grandpa. The Man was always like that with the Grandkids and he could be a Hard Ass and still can be, especially with the Girl Children he's Butter tho'. *LOL*
The Man has also had more than his fair share of folks who do not Like him, and he's Fine with that. *Bwahahahaha* He's not a People Person and neither is this Retired Cop, tho' he can be Friendly with the Vendors he does Like, he's pretty much an Asshat to those he doesn't. So, you do know exactly where you stand with the guy. Luckily, the other Co-Worker was a Friend of mine and I enjoyed Working with her. She and I initially had a Moment many Moons ago when she veered into my Lane and made a Scene, but we squashed it and became Friendly, I genuinely Like her. I can have a Moment or a Situation with you and still end up Liking you and becoming Friends, so, it was like that between her and I. She had initiated what happened back then and I just ended it, let us just say. *Winks* I've never started a Beef or Fight with anyone in my Life, but I've sure as Hell Ended every single one anyone started with me, with a Flourish, I might add. *Bwahahaha*
But, when Working together now she and I have a good time and she's a very good Worker too, so I have zero Issues with her about Work or her Personality. Her Husband has been very Sickly too and when I told her about The Young Prince's Brown Recluse Spider Bite she got gravely concerned and told me to keep an Eye on the Wound. All her Husband's severe Medical Issues began 20 Years ago when he got bitten by one on the Leg. Now he has huge ulcerated Wounds and eaten Flesh from it all these Years later coz the Toxins from the Venom Enzymes apparently stay in your Body forever if not COMPLETELY removed. Her Husband has had numerous major Surgeries and Skin Grafts on his Legs and Feet from this and now has an Auto-Immune deficiency due to it. She showed me Pixs, they were beyond Graphic and he still must see a Specialist every Week for the rest of his Life!!!
That Scared me, even tho' The Man got bitten by a Brown Recluse on his Arm when he was in the Military and had to have a Surgery to remove the flesh it dissolves and Ulcerates. The Young Prince got bitten on his Ass and I wanna make sure he doesn't have the adverse effects my Friend's Husband has had for such a prolonged painful period of time. Her Husband is a massive Strong Guy, he's probably 6'7" and Solid as a Rock, so if it took a Man that Big down, well, that's one nasty Spider. Necrotic Lesions are no Joke. And, the Young Prince, like The Man, developed that Necrotic Lesion around their Bites, just like her Husband did, tho' his is out of control now, even all these Years later.
If you have comorbidities that can often happen, and her Husband is a Diabetic and now has developed that Auto-Immune Disease as well, so, he's NOT Healing from the Wounds. I can't even tell you how horrific his have become, it was shocking to see Images!!! And I've seen Graphic and Horrific shit in my 2nd Corporate Life, this was as bad as Graphic Images get of Wounds tho'! If you replicated the Image of those Wounds in a Horror Movie as a Special Effect of a Flesh Eating Toxin or Venom, you couldn't be more Horrified. There is so much her DH now can't do due to those Open Wounds that won't Heal, and I would suspect it impairs his Mobility and Pain Management considerably!!! He'll be fortunate if he doesn't eventually have to get the Limbs Amputated, I'm not kidding!!!
It Rained like Hell Yesterday in the Morning and again in the Evening, and is Raining like Hell this Morning too. I get up earlier on a Tuesday coz Princess T goes to Work an Hour earlier on Tuesdays after having her Days Off for Sunday and Monday. Our Social Security Checks STILL haven't hit and I'm getting concerned about how Late they're gonna be this Month? I'll start incurring Late Charges on Bills if they don't show up soon and that gets very expensive as most places are charging hefty Fees now and it dings your Credit too. I have a really excellent FICO Score and I don't need the Federal Government fucking that up for us!!! I really do Believe they are Looting Funds out of Social Security, SNAP, FEMA and doling it out amongst themselves in this Administration, I really do. And once that Money is gone, it's Forever fucking Gone! They'll be even more obscenely Wealthy and we'll all be obscenely Fucked.
Elon Musk lost over Seven Million in a Day when he was in DOGE, and now all of a sudden he's rebounded to being the 1st ever Trillionaire, and, he and his Teen Tech Bros has access to everything... coincidence, mebbe. And, pretty sure Donnie Two Dolls has had his Hands in the Cookie Jar, he's been a Con Artist and Thief, ripping people off, from waaaay back to the 1970's. Anyway, I wanna get mine while there's still some left coz it's our Money we Paid Into The System, it's not fucking Charity. Anyway, the Checks are late AGAIN and it's pissing me off that ever since this Administration took Office, our Checks have been Late and they never were when Uncle Joe was President. So, this Administration has everything to do with why they are. And it's Stressful not to get Paid on Time when it's YOUR Money Earned, that they're withholding from you and delaying Payment of.
I remember when the Oligarch Nepo Hire Bisignano was put in Charge of Social Security and said his 90 Year Old Mother didn't rely on it, so he didn't understand why American Seniors did! And I'm like, of coarse she doesn't Frank, her Son {ie: you Frank} is a fucking Billionaire!!! Our Sons aren't fucking Billionaires, but, if they were, I wouldn't rely on it either Motherfucker! And the Fact that Donnie Two Dolls has put Oligarchs in high positions of Authority, like Putin did, is very Telling. So, they could be using our Social Security Funds as their Personal Slush Funds for all we know, coz, whose fucking Checking? I'll wait... You don't even have to be a Conspiracy Theorist to know if you put a Fox in charge of the Henhouse, shit's gonna go Down, it's a Given. Put an adjudicated Career Criminal and Convicted Felon who caught more Charges than a Cartel, in Charge of all the Nation's Resources, and expect to be Robbed blind my Friends. EXPECT it.
Anyway, Moving On, until we receive our Social Security, or should I say IF we do... I'm a Broke Bitch for right now. Luckily Mando did receive the balance of his Nutritional Assistance and we bought some perishables, on Sale, so got a lot of Bang for our Buck, including that enormous Fruit Tray photographed for this Post, that was marked 70% Off in the Deli Section, and is delish! I think they've been making up big Deli Trays due to it being Football Season and I went after Work, and just before Closing the Grocery Stores tend to mark stuff like that way down to clear it out fast. Mando dislikes Grocery Shopping so wants me to just do it, The Son is the same, so they just give me their contribution to the Grocery Fund to keep everyone fed here. *LOL* They know I can stretch a Buck like nobody's business. *Ha ha ha* I spend Thirty Bucks and come back with several Grocery Bags full. They'd go out and come back with one paltry Bag full and have spent all their Grocery Money!
I got some Mike's Hot Honey Bacon, which is New and they had it on Sale for Four Bucks. It's like that Gourmet "Bacon But Different" I get at "Snooze" Restaurant and is Sublime! So, we'll be having some of that for Breakfast this Morning. And my Heirloom "Happy Eggs" were also on Sale and these were bigger than X-Large sized. These Hens must be eating some good stuff to lay Eggs that Big! OMG, they almost don't fit in the Egg Container I use and dwarf a normal sized X-Large Egg, they're like Mutant Eggs!!! *LOL* Mando is still a bit Freaked Out by how Orange the Yolks are on the Eggs I Buy instead of the Pale Yellow he's used to. *LMAO* Well, if a Hen is being Ethically and Pasture Raised and being allowed to roam around and eat what a Chicken should be eating, that's the Color a Yolk should be.
Also, our Local Grocers have a "No Waste Policy" and bag up Perishable Produce for 99 Cents to $1.29 a Bag. So it all gets Bought and used, so not thrown out. I Shop that Table a LOT coz we eat more Fresh Foods than Non-Perishable ones Daily, when we can get Fresh Foods at good prices. They had the most enormous Blueberries I've ever seen, the size of Grapes, so got some of those on Sale too. In the No Waste Table this time around I got Roma Tomatoes, Pineapple, Specialty Oranges, and Potatoes. I was having to scoop up my Bags fast coz there was a group of Arabic Immigrant Women going to town on that Table too and Buying damned near all of it. *LOL* They were wearing full Hijab like Assassins Creed Characters, so I'm guessing were Iranian.
The Older One was giving me a Death Stare from where her Face wasn't fully covered, coz I was Shopping that Table too. And furiously talking in Arabic to make the others hurry up and snatch Bags before I could. *LMAO* I Dated some Arabic Men for quite a few Years in my Youth, so I do understand some Arabic, more than they knew I could, so it Amused me. And some of our Turkish and Jordanian Lifelong Friends taught me and my Mom enough Words to also get by in their Languages. *Winks* I never let on that I can Understand Languages coz it's like being a Fly on the Wall, when someone assumes you don't and can't understand what they're saying about you. *Winks* Even if I am not fluent, I usually understand better than I can speak other Languages. The Young Prince is presently Teaching himself Latin. His Mom is fluent in Spanish, she speaks it better than most Mexican Americans can. *LOL*
Anyway, it tickled me that the Old Lady was instructing the group of Younger Women with her to hit that Table hard before I could get more Bags of any of it. *LOL* I'd pretty much gotten there First so had already snagged what I really wanted, so, no harm, no foul. I was just Amused at how frantically they were then grabbing Bags so I couldn't get any more of them since I hadn't moved away from the Table so they assumed I might want more? *Winks* However, that said, mebbe they got a Hungry Family at Home too. And, it made for good Blog Fodder and even a Clever Post Title Hook for this one. *Bwahahahaha* Anyway, I'd forgotten how much Men in their Twenties can consume now that I've got a 20-Something Grandson living back at Home and eating me out of House and Home, even tho' he's a Skinny One!!! *LOL*
Lord have Mercy but that Young Prince can EAT and Drink Milk and other Beverages like he's never gonna get the chance to again. I think anyone whose suffered Food Insecurities tends to do that, so I don't say anything to him or his Mom about their consumption. Both have been and gone Hungry, been Homeless for extended Periods, and in Lack for lengthy Periods of Time. And mebbe in their Country of Origin, those Dear Women had been too, I dunno? So, tho' Amused at what played out, I understand there could be a tragic Back Story to Why? I've been Hungry, I've been Homeless, it ain't no Fun. I'm not without my own Point of Reference of how Hard Times can Shape you and even affect you for a Lifetime, even if your circumstances change and improve. Above is The Daughter when she was Preggy with her Son, and just after his Birth, with his Dad. They were just Kids themselves, just Teens. And her Mental Health and Addictions at the time was out of Control.
It's good that both of my Adult Kids got Clean finally and have kept Clean for Years now, it's answer to fervent Prayer. I'm one not to give up on folks even tho' I have a zero tolerance policy for illegal drug use or prescription drug abuse. I am aware that many times Addicts are made by our Medical System and Big Pharma's Greed. Prescribing and handing out addictive Drugs to people who normally would never fall into using illegal Drugs or experimenting with Dangerous Drugs. Then they become dependent on said Drugs and if the supply of them is suddenly stopped, they now have a serious Addiction to have to overcome and Deal with, as do their Families. Most Older people I know are hooked on Drugs their Doctors have prescribed them that are Addictive and were Legal Western Medications often prescribed. Certainly some folks begin with Illegal Drugs, but not all Addicts did.
It makes me angry as Hell how many Lives have been ruined, how many Families have been tragically impacted, how many people have Died due to the Drug problem in this Nation. A lot of it caused by Greed, not only of Illegal Drug Dealers, but the Legal ones too in our Medical System and Big Pharma Companies profiting off of it. Follow the Money and you'll know why it's never been appropriately addressed nor handled by our Government, even tho' feeble pretenses are often made to appease the concerned Public about the scourge and carnage. So long as a lot of folks are getting Rich off a Problem, that Problem will not be seriously Solved and will actually be enabled by those profiting most from it.
I'll be hitting the Recycle Center Today to Cash out on the Aluminum we've picked up doing Environmental Cleanup all Week. At least that will put Gas in the Tank of the Truck. I'm waiting until after 9:00 a.m. to see if any Credits hit our Accounts from Social Security? They could have hit over the Weekend since a lot of Debits sure have, so The Bank does process shit at their Clearing Housing on the Weekends or you wouldn't be getting Debited on a Saturday or Sunday, but, you are, so, just sayin', your Credits should be able to hit too IMO. I'm a Retired Bank Executive and have often been appalled at the direction that Industry took back even before I Retired from it. Corruption often went all the way to the very Top of a lot of Financial Institutions and the RTC had to come in and shut them down.
Lots of Predatory Lending going on even now, and exploitation of Customers. While giving perks and preferential Mega Loans to Wealthy Clients who often are involved in some levels of Corruption and even commit Bank Fraud, but get away with it. Why? Coz if that Client owes you a shit-ton of Money and you're a Bank, you NEED for it to somehow get Paid Back, that's Why. Donnie Two Dolls is a prime Bank Fraud Poster Child. Eventually American Banks had to cut him off and not let him get Loans anymore. Most of his Loans after that came from Dark Money Lenders, mostly abroad, and not from Countries that were our Allies or 'Friends' with the U.S.. That's why he was always compromised with serious Conflicts of Interest and high risk of being Squeezed by Bad Actors he owed a lot of Money to, from The Jump. But, if you can Buy yourself an American President, that's a good and Wise Investment to Bad Actors who Call the Note on him. And thus, here we now are... enduring Fun Times!!!
