If Blog Suspension Is Too Long... Yep, Probably Dead

I've been trawling for new Blogs, and my lamentation is that sometimes I find the Perfect ones, then realize, after reading great Posts that drew me in, hooked me and made me want more, that the last Post they Wrote was dated a Decade ago or something equally archaic!  *Le Sigh, Sad Face*  Yes, sometimes I'll still read thru the ancient Archives of Posts anyway, since, a good Read doesn't have to be written recently really.  But, clearly, this Blogger is no longer Blogging and so, no sense Saving it to the ole Sidebar to Follow Up on, or to leave a recent comment pleading "Please Come Back!".  *Exaggerated Sigh and LOL*  The only thing worse really is having one of your most Beloved Bloggers Die or hang it up voluntarily and leave the Land of Blog indefinitely, never to be heard from again.  *Sob*

I'm a person who needs Closure, I don't like to have to Imagine if you stop Blogging, perhaps you're Okay and just Living the Dream in some Exotic Locale?   Where the Need for Devices or Blogging is now nonexistent and you prefer to be totally Off the Grid forever... or perhaps you're not Okay and I'll never know?!   My Family don't Blog, don't Read Blogs, or know any Bloggers except me, and probably don't wanna be the bearers here of any Bad News whenever that Time comes.  So, if it just stops, you can accurately presume I just Crossed Over and you'll have to see me on the Other Side.  I once didn't Blog for a whole Week and Dear Readers got so alarmed they were frantically leaving me heartfelt Comments for Closure already!   Since, I'm prolific, as you well know, so it was out of Character to suspend Posting for the eternity of a whole Week!  *Gasp... LOL*

Medical or Personal Emergencies have made it necessary from time to time to not Publish for a relatively short interim.   But, other than that, if the suspension is too long, yep, probably Dead.  *Winks*   And my own Mortality from time to time crops up on my Psyche, usually when other people I know are dropping like Flies, which, happens with more frequency now, at this Season of Life.   And why does it always seem to happen in Groupings of Bad News like that?   Sweet Baby Jesus, lately the sheer numbers are staggering of Near Death Experiences, Grim Diagnosis, or the Grim Reaper taking someone we know!!!  *Sob*  I'm still quite Numb from hearing about One, even before I'm now hearing about another... and then another... so on and so forth, in an Avalanche of Sad and Bad News relayed back to back lately!!!   I need more Time to Unpack, Process and Feel something!  Instead, I stay in Numb Purgatory!

I'm resting there in Numb Purgatory right now and haven't actually Felt a Feeling yet about any of the Bad and Sad News relayed en mass in recent Days.   So, no Stages of Grief have really been activated yet, tho' I presume they will, and probably will activate at the most inopportune time, tho' I don't suppose there's any opportune time really.  I WANT to Feel something, but I just don't and sometimes I even never will.  And that can be Typical for me actually, to have a Flat Affect... the severe reduction or absence of Emotional Expression is something I've typically had since early Childhood.   It can be present in several various Mental Health Conditions and I've always attributed mine to that actually.   And since I've had it this long, it's my abnormal Normal and I'm usually more Okay with it than other folks are.

It can be terribly misunderstood why you're under-reacting when a strong Emotional response is expected and lacking.  My absence of outward Feelings and Displays doesn't mean I don't have them at all.  The Son, in Grade School, said it best when his Teacher told him to Write an Apology to Classmate Brody for something Negative he'd done.  The Teacher knew he suffered from Autism and Bipolar/ADHD limitations, which can cause Flat Affect and lack of outward Emotional response, so she did find the Note he Wrote so Amusing she Shared it with me and we both had a Laugh.  I Photographed that Note and it basically said that Miss P had told him to Write it to say he was Sorry, and he Tried to Feel Sorry, but he didn't, and that was the only thing he Felt Sorry About, that he just couldn't Feel Sorry!  *Bwahahaha*

Couldn't locate the Photo in my vast Photo Archives to Share it here on this Post, but that is the gist and I can relate.  *Smiles*   He also often used to tell people, as a Child, "I CAN'T Like you!"   Rather than the usual of, I DON'T Like you.  Which usually meant he Tried to Like them, but he just couldn't muster it.  *Bwahahaha*  I can also relate to that, since, there have been some People... *Bwahahaha*   The Dove Pixs Above and Below have a Back Story.   It was an "Official" 119 Degree Day, so Unofficially, probably even Hotter, Birds couldn't get any Lift to even Fly.   And so quite often they just resign themselves to being in the Shade and closer to other Sentient Beings seeking Shade Refuge that they might otherwise be more Guarded about being so close to.   One of those Rare Natural Bonding Experiences, Life Form to Life Form, Sharing the Planet in Peaceful Coexistence.

I was sitting on a Rock and this Dove just came and sat on the Rock right next to me in the Shade, just inches away, looking at me as if to say, "Too Damned Hot, isn't it?"   It allowed me to Photograph it without alarm, since, when it's that ridiculously Hot, probably every Living Thing is just trying to be Chill, Right?   Yup, too damned Hot for any Interspecies Drama that's for sure.   So, there we just sat, Chillin' for the longest time, coz, it was such a Special Rare Interaction.   Too Hot to Walk, Too Hot to Fly.   *Bwahahaha*   We got an unexpected heavy downpour of Rain this Morning.  So everything is very Cooled off and in the low 80's, rare for Mid-July, we'll probably revel in it and go out and do something Outside while it lasts.   Tomorrow is my Monthly Event and I'll be going to that, since it's the only one Open for the Summer Months for the Four Days it runs.  All other Events are Suspended until September, then they'll have my Fav Themed Show for Halloween!!!

I'm already seeing Holiday Merch rolling out and I'm told this Season may be lean on it due to the Tariff Wars impeding Importing considerably.   I'm sure most Holiday Orders should have been done Months ago.   But Donnie Two Dolls mucked all that up with his Schizo back and forth with his ridiculous and illegal implementation of Tariffs. Off again, on again, this much of a percentile of a Tariff and then that much of a percentile Tariff, Chaotic, and very Psycho implemented by a complete Psycho.  The full effects of which haven't yet been felt coz those things take Time to play out in the Negative ways they just will... so I'm fully expecting that come September, people won't be as confused about what a Tariff really is and the Real Life Negative impact it will have on them, on all Businesses, Imports and Exports, Trade Relations, the Economy both Nationally and Globally.   A Tariff is a Tax, it's just that Simplistic to Understand.

And speaking of Cool Vintage Merch, at SAVERS they had some of the Old Johnny West Toy Figures and Two Bags of Accessories {1965-1976}.   I bought the Indian Figure and both Bags of Accessories.   The Two Cowboy Figures I am still considering, they have them Priced quite Fair compared to how much they go for Online.   Sam Cobra, the Bad Guy, and General Custer are the Two they had left in the Case.  I have some of the Collection already so the Male Native American Figure completes me Collecting the Male Indian Figures they made.   Accessories are hard to come by so Scoring Two Bagged Lots was huge too.  My Brother used to have the Set growing up and I don't know what happened to it, but I fondly recalled it being a Favorite.  The Figures are the Size of a GI Joe, the original bigger ones.  LATER:  Got the Sam Cobra figure {Pictured Below}, it was Military Discount Day so I got 30% Off.  I Passed on the Custer figure, someone's Dog had chewed on the Face, so, it was mauled.  So Custer Doll was as fucked up as Real Custer must have been at The Little Bighorn.

I had previously gotten the Chief Cherokee figure with the Two Bagged Lots of various Accessories. {Pictured Below}   I already had the Geronimo figure and the Fighting Eagle figure that has a Mohawk Hairstyle. {Seen further Below}   I have them in one of my Cabinets Of Curiosities with my Native American Antiquities I've Collected over the Years or Inherited from the Paternal Tribal side of our Family that were Family Heirlooms, usually made by one of my Relatives.   Vintage Toys can be a great Investment, the Return on your Investment can be lucrative.   Some of these figures Online can fetch an astronomical amount, which is why I added to the Collection when I found these at a Chazza that I didn't previously have.

Another thing Scored while doing Environmental Cleanup Roadside Yesterday, a 1972 Coca-Cola Can {Date on it February 1972}, in pristine condition, coz it had partially gotten buried in dirt to protect the Colors from fading.   I was 14 Years Old when that Can got thrown out a Vehicle Window into the Desert and it had lain there over 50 Years!!!   So sad that for over half a Century nobody had done Trash Cleanup along that Road, which is a busy one!!!   But, I digress, back to Johnny West stuff:  I don't have the Princess Wildflower figure tho' {Picture Below with Geronimo figure}, she's harder to Source, but, I have seen her on E-Bay For Sale.   I just picked her up at an Auction that has her at a really good price point with the Papooses, Box and Accessories.   She has a Condition Issue with one Hand and was Sold with that knowledge pointed out, but for the Price they had a lot included.  Believe it or not you can Buy a replacement Hand.  *LOL*

Most others For Sale of her were more than Twice as expensive with no Accessories, no Papooses, no Box... so the missing Hand didn't bother me at all.   Each Papoose alone, of the Two the Sets came with and mine has both... can Sell for Twenty Bucks each.  Even just her Necklace Accessory Online was Selling for over Seven Bucks, her removable Clothing for a lot more per Piece.  And some Accessories like her Indian Basket are rare to find.  You can Buy Accessories Lots Online that have both Accessories and spare Body Parts for these figures to repair damaged ones you might have and need replacement parts for.   I've Sold many a Bagged Lot of "Monster High" Doll Hands and Feet, coz Kids lose those first, since they detach, and Parents are always seeking the replacement Limbs.  *LOL*   Sometimes the Sum of the Parts can be worth more than the Toy!   Kind of like when you Chop a coveted Model Vehicle, almost always worth more as the Sum of it's Parts Sold separately for those doing Restorations.

And to prove my Point that everything is possible and For Sale Online, on E-Bay I just plugged in Princess Wildflower Right Hand and Whallah, they had one For Sale inexpensively on a Buy It Now Feature, so... Bought it.  *Bwahahaha, Problem Solved*   Now when she arrives and it arrives, I'll pop it on her and she'll be complete again.   I already have some of the Papooses that came with this Series, makes for a nice Display when you have a more complete Collection of this Favorite Vintage Series.   I'm just a Big Kid at Heart and don't mind Buying Back some of our Childhood as an Investment and passing it along to my Future Generations of Heirs to Keep or Sell Off and make a considerable amount of Profit on.

I have Good News, we got our Social Security Checks on Time this Month, can I get a Whoop Whoop?!   I had contacted the AG's Office after our Arizona AG had put out Commercials asking anyone whose Social Security had been delayed or denied by this Administration since she was filing a Class Action Lawsuit against the Federal Government.   I called and said I wanted to be a part of that, and since I did that, all of a sudden the Feds are giving us our Checks on Time!  *Yay*  Listen, that's all I really wanted, since, it's OUR Money and they had no Right to withhold it from us... or get their Greedy Paws on it to further enrich their Billionaire Boys Club Buddies.   I don't Trust not a swinging Dick in this Cabal of Vulgarians and their Corrupt Leadership and Cabinet Members Appointed, they're all a bunch of blatant Criminals that Believe they're Above The Law and can freely Victimize the rest of us without consequence.   And, other Good News, my New replacement Debit Card got here too!  *Yay and Whew*

I got KFC for Dinner since they have a Special going on and I could Feed the 8 People who would be here for Dinner.  Both Girls had their Boyfriends over and we always also have a couple Spare folks show up around Dinnertime visiting, so, I'd rather have extra and offer up some Hospitality to Guests, even unexpected ones.   I like KFC, I like that it's good Hot or Cold and so there's never any uneaten Leftovers.  We never make Fried Chicken at Home, we always Grill our Meats and rarely Fry anything and rarely eat Fried Foods.  But, I sometimes make an exception with KFC coz it's never greasy and the Chicken Skin doesn't taste Fried to me.   Since I don't eat hardly any Fried Foods they can sometimes taste Off to me and I don't prefer them, I like stuff Grilled, Raw or Steamed instead.   I eat most of my Veggies Raw or Steamed, in a Soup or a Chili.   But, once in a great while there's a Restaurant that makes an Awesome Fried Zucchini and Fried Mushroom with a non-greasy light Cornmeal coating.

We called my Brother-In-Law in Alaska after hearing they suffered a 7.3 Earthquake and Tsunami from it, but, luckily he's far enuf inland it didn't affect him.   He's on a River, but way inland and said they've not had any Warnings issued.   That was a Relief to hear.  The Man likes talking to his Older Brother, he's the One Family Member that's kept in Touch, none of the others has.   This Brother likes to Talk, he's quite a Conversationalist and The Man isn't, he's a better Listener and more Introverted, his Brother is an Extrovert.   So they couldn't be more opposite.  *Smiles*  He was saying he isn't gonna be here very much longer now he's in his 80's so he refuses to worry about it anymore, the State of the World going to shit.   I see his point, I'm kinda getting that way myself now, I've done all I can to make a Positive difference all my Adult Life, but, so much is Wrong that it's becoming quite overwhelming.

I don't discount doing Small Positive things with Big Love tho', and will continue to, even seemingly insignificant Positives are better than any Negative impact any of us might otherwise make.   Like the above Yoda saying accurately says, "DO or DO NOT, there is no Try."    My Blog Posts have been Extra and particularly going Long lately coz I'm all Stressed Out and it's helpful to just Write about what I'm working thru to stay more Centered and Sane.  *LOL*  This site is Cheaper than Therapy, what can I say?  *Winks*  Plus, Writing in general is so therapeutic to me overall, it's a pleasurable activity I really enjoy doing.  Dumping that Stream of Consciousness out in Words lightens Life's load and releases it all into the Ether here on the Ole Blog.   I don't Care if anyone Reads it or gets thru it if they try to power thru a Post.  *Winks*  But, I also know that for some folks, the act of Reading is their Release when Real Life gets too complicated and they wanna Wind Down with a good Book or a Blog Post Read.

This Morning I got to Sleep In coz Mando and The Daughter said they'd drive The Son halfway to Work at the Rendezvous Point his Boss meets him at.  Mando had spent the Night since he'd been working on The Son's Car again until really late, to see if he can get it to be operational with more consistency?   That Used Car Salesman never returned my Calls, so, I'm swiping Left on that now.  I can't Buy and Sell it FOR the Guy, WTF?!  I wouldn't have even bothered to take the time to Apply for a Pre-Approved Loan for it with them, had I known they wouldn't take our Business seriously!  I didn't even get confirmation of THAT from them either... so, not impressed with how poorly they do Business.  I was Grateful to The Daughter and her Boyfriend tho', those extra 2-3 Hours of Sleep makes a difference, but I still have to Wake early to get Princess T up and to Work.   When they both have their own Transportation some day it will be liberating to me.  *Bwahahaha*  Freedom... Freedom!!!   *Winks*

The 3-Ring Circus that has become Life is quite The Adventure and being Ringmaster of it has been a Trip, lemme tell ya!  *LOL*   But, from Reading other Blogs, I also know I'm not The Lone Ranger, many of you have got a lot going on as well.   How you're juggling Life can be quite encouraging and inspirational, so I'm glad so many of you other Bloggers do Share your Heart and Minds on your Blogs too.   I've got my Event to go to this Morning but I'm not even ready for it and won't bother to get ready until after I get the Grandchild to Work.  I'm going to carry my New early Birthday pressy MP Tote Bag, even tho' I don't have much to put in it, it'll be matching the MP Outfit I'll be wearing that it's part of the Line of.  I like to have a reason to dress to impress sometimes, there's not that much opportunity to anymore.   It's important every once in a while to look nice and feel good about it.  Tho' the Family is teasing me about how big that Bag is, coz it's Luggage sized and way bigger than it looked Online.  *LOL*

My "Uniform" lately has been Cotton Capris and a T-Shirt usually.  A nice T-Shirt that makes a Statement usually, but, not very Dressed to Impress, tho' I often get compliments on my Tees.  It's a good Opening to tell folks we Sell them in our Showroom at the Antique Mall and drum up some Business.  *Winks*  Becoz my Debit Card arrived just in the nick of time I also have access to my Money, which is handy, but not all that necessary, no Plans to do any Retail Therapy actually.   *Gasp, yeah, I know!!!  LOL*  I'd done some at the Chazza and Online with Buying those Vintage Johnny West Line 1960's Toys I don't really Need, but are handy when you've entered your Second Childhood in your Old Age and kinda Buying Back your First Childhood now.  *Bwahahahaha*  And even Writing about them in this Post, to Share with you all, brought me Joy, I'm easily Joyful like that, you have no idea.  *Winks*

Okay, so a Show of Hands in an informal Survey, with how many of you all might also obtain Joy about Showing Off what you just Scored on a Retail Therapy Binge?  *Winks*   I Suspect I'm not the only one???  Am I Right?   *LOL*   There even used to be some Blogs that it was a Main Topic of to do that and it was like going Shotgun Shopping with those Bloggers and such Fun.   Junquing Buddy Bloggers rarely exist now tho', so, I do kinda miss that since I usually now only go Junquing with Family Members and not a slew of fellow Junquer Friends like in the Old Days of Junquing when we'd Partner with Kindred Spirits to go do that on The Regular.   Mostly other Industry People or Consummate Collectors, who it was also in the Blood of, so, they understood the Urge to and didn't Judge.  *Smiles*  I'd get excited seeing their excitement when they Scored something Primo and got a Rush out of it.   Often we were that other set of Eyes for one another too, Scoring FOR each other sometimes.

You get to Know your People like that, what each Friend's Taste and Aesthetic is so you'd know exactly what would Light them Up to Find and Score!   Now, a Cautionary Tale is, don't go Junquing with the exact Version of Yourself coz then you're both Throwing Down to Score the same Treasures tho'!  *Winks*   And, sometimes you Rub Off on Peeps and they start Becoming You and thus begin Decorating and Collecting like what you do and that can then become problematic and challenging too.   I don't mind at all if someone starts mirroring me and copying my Style or Aesthetic, it's flattering, my Dear Dad always did say that Imitation is the highest form of Flattery.  But many a Friend who didn't start out diggin' The Weird and Wonderful did come over to The Dark Side with me over Time, just sayin'.  I guess I can Grow on you???!!!  *LOL and Winks*

I've thought about getting some permanent Mehndi Tattooed on my Hands, by a good Black & Grey Tattoo Artists, but, so many Designs exist that I don't know I could pin down a choice for each Design that would be Forever?   This was one of my Fav Designs I had done with Mehndi that isn't permanent, but I wouldn't mind it having be permanent.  I'm always sad when it wears off in a few Weeks time.   The Artist who did this Trained The Young Prince to do Mehndi, but she no longer Works at The Henna Shoppe and I don't know where she moved to?   So, I haven't had any done in a long time coz it's not inexpensive to have it done and some Artists are more accomplished at doing it than others.   Princess T used to do it but lost interest, we used to have a Freezer full of the Mehndi Paste.  *LOL*   She likes having it done, but decided becoming a Mehndi Artists wasn't something she wanted to do Full Time for Clients.

Look how Precious The Young Prince's Little Sister looks with her new Glasses!    I sure miss seeing those Kiddos in person, but now that Angie and The Young Prince's Dad are no longer together, I'm leaving it up to her how much contact she maintains with the rest of us too.   The Daughter got along with Angie, since they're both his Exes now and have Kids with him, but, it was a bit awkward too, for obvious reasons, it's not as if either Woman wanted to form an Exes Club, you know?  *LOL*  And, Angie is much Younger, so more the Age of The Young Prince, so they had more in common than with The Daughter's Generation.  I have no Idea how Young his New Wife is, a huge Surprise he even got Married, and so quickly, to whoever she is?   The Daughter claimed to see a Pix on Social Media and said she looks Younger than Angie even is, and is a White Girl.   Angie was half Hispanic, tho' she's Weta and looks like a White Girl... and The Daughter is Multi-Racial... but, The Daughter said his New Wife looks like she's not Ethnic.   I don't know how The Young Prince feels about the "New Stepmom" or that she might be Younger than he is this time?  *LOL*

I dredged up an Old Blast From The Past Pix of The Son with one of the few times he had his long Hair, which we all Hated, and several Bosses made him cut coz of Client Complaints.   Why did Clients Complain?   Not becoz he wasn't Professional or didn't do excellent Work, but they Complained to his Employer and said they didn't want a Reservation Indian doing any Work for them!!!!  Yep, came right out and said it out loud!   Usually it was little Old White Ladies that even on the Job, would tell his Co-Workers they could do the Work, but Point at The Son and boldly proclaim, "But NOT him!", right to his Face!!!   And then Complain to his Employer that they didn't Trust or Like the Look of the Indian they'd sent, so don't send him again!!!   So, Racism in America has always been Alive and Well, and Racial Profiling, it's not "New" with this Administration, just more Open and Obvious, more considered "Acceptable" to be a Racist now coz we have an Openly Racist President and Administration.   So, anyways, it's Why I even lean on The Son to keep his Hair Short so he's not AS Racially Profiled, and he "Gets" it, but it still pisses him off to try to Pass for a White Boy.  *LOL*

Okay, but it IS a running Family Joke that The Daughter likes to tell her Friends, and recently told Mando, her Boyfriend, that, "My Brother thinks he's White and I think I'm Mexican... ain't that Messed Up and Crazy?"  *Bwahahaha*  Mando laughed so hard he choked, he's Hispanic, but he said The Daughter has lived in Mexico so long that she sounds and acts more Mexican than a Mexican!   And then he asked, quite seriously, how many folks actually think you People are White?   Well, that's a loaded question... depending on who you ask Mando... *Winks*   And, in the grand scheme of things, I didn't used to think it mattered, and it shouldn't, EVER... but now, with the ICE Kidnappings and all based almost exclusively on Racial Profiling... and the direction Amerikkka is going backwards, mebbe it matters now more than ever???
