The VA Nurse was concerned about The Man during this visit, coz his Blood Pressure was dangerously high even tho' he hadn't done anything all day but watch TV. So, he was put on Bed Rest for the rest of the Day. He's on Meds to control it, but his Heart is just not what it should be anymore so there's only so much they can do for him. They unclogged the Two Arteries going in and out of his Heart that were closing down during the Two recent Heart Surgeries.

So, his Body may be adjusting to a more robust blood flow in and out of his Heart? It's like when you finally control your Diabetes, sometimes you actually feel worse when your Numbers are normal coz they've been abnormal for so long that your Body got used to functioning with those challenges. Anyway, he behaved and rested in Bed almost all day. I got errands done while he did so. I'm concerned about him but he's doing everything he should do and so we just have to keep him piping along.

I gave the VA Nurse a big bag of Halloween Candy to hand out at her Church to the Kiddos, we had too much and we don't eat a lot of Sweets. We'd bought the majority of it to hand out on Halloween Night. I'll bring some in to Work when I go in soon too, they have a Candy Drawer for the Employees and we have so many Young Workers who are the Ages of some of my Older Grandkids. Princess T had a good day at Work, some people got Fired, she doesn't know why, she liked them and thought they were working out okay. So, now they are short staffed again and need new Hires and to Train people all over again. It's always frustrating to get to know new Co-Workers and then they don't last. We get that a lot at the Antique Mall, people come and go constantly.

She works hard and does a good job, so her only issue has been her Health Issues, which, she has no control over and has had all her life. She's trying not to miss Work due to taking legit Sick Days, but, it is what it just is. Most of her Labs came back okay so far from the Specialist, so, we still don't have answers to what has been wrong. They may now Test for various Food Allergies. Some of the Testing is unpleasant or invasive, so she's not keen on that, I don't blame her. It's a lot to keep going thru and she's had to go thru a lot since Birth Medically. I'm just hoping they can find what's wrong and if there's a treatment that can manage it? Nobody wants to be sickly all the time.

I guess she said some of her Young Co-Workers read my Blog now, so, Welcome to all the New Dear Readers of her Age Group. Most of the content is pretty boring for Young People, I would imagine, but, perhaps the Images would make up for it? *LOL* It can read like a bad Novella sometimes and be pretty Raw and uncensored. *Ha ha ha* And I Hope it won't be too depressing to the Young to Read how hard growing Old can sometimes be? But, being Young ain't easy these days, I respect how much the Young People of Today have to go thru that didn't exist when I was Young.
.JPG)
Often I feel like I come from a much Simpler Time than they're living thru. The World is way more complicated now than I remember it being over half a Century ago when I was a Young Adult. I remember I could barely relate to the Era my own Parents or Grandparents were Young in. It can be the best of times and the worst of times seemingly all at once these days. I do Hope these Younger Generations can BE the Change they want to see in the World? I remember thinking our Generation would be, and perhaps some of us were, or gave it the best shot we could, but not all did, that's for sure. And now the Younger Ones inherit the messiness that it now is in our wake. My apologies, they deserved better.

I watched "Memoirs Of A Geisha" {2005}on NetFlix, it was a really good Movie. It's an Old Movie, but, I had never seen it before and knew it was based on a True Story of Mineko Iwasaki, she is 76 Years Old now and was the most Famous Geisha in Japan until she Retired at Age 29. The Movie took Artistic Liberties, like giving her Blue Eyes, which, she did not have really. But the Story is fascinating and I'm sure her real life had many parallels to the Movie and the Book of the same Name that it was based upon.
The Book and the Movie are more from a Western perspective than an Eastern one IMO, which, can misinterpret things Culturally and Historically from what a Geisha would represent outside of their own Culture. I would think the actual Woman probably had some issues with both the Book and the Movie's portrayal of her Life and Memoirs. Knowing nothing at all about a Geisha's role and Life in their Culture, I still found the Movie interesting and worth seeing tho'.

Then we all sat and watched NetFlix's "Frankenstein" {2025} which was Guillermo del Torro's Directorial re-imagining of the Classic Tale by Mary Shelley. I think he did quite an interesting take on it, I liked it. The Sets in it were magnificent and the Story was well done from a completely different perspective than previous remakes of the various Movies of it. I think it would have been good to watch around Halloween and I liked it more than I thought that I would. Some remakes of Classics I haven't particularly cared for, but this was very well done and interesting from the perspective del Torro took. I like him as an Actor, but he's a fine and skilled Director too, obviously.

I've re-written this several times, it's been a Post I kept changing Topics about constantly and most of it was irrelevant and would be even more so when it Published. The Daughter and her Boyfriend weren't getting along again, more due to him than to her. He's often not his best Self due to the progression of the Cancer and how much Pain he can be in. I think when someone has suffering it's very difficult for them to be able to enter into newer Relationships and sustain them, in my Opinion. Long time Relationships can be strained due to illness, especially serious illness that isn't going to get better, let alone newer ones where the Bond isn't at the same level. I think it's too much for both of them, but it's their decision to make.

I've had some problems with my Computer and with Blogger lately and have had to reboot a few times, don't know what's going on? But, lately, along with the Web Crawler incident for that Two Week period of time when all our Views went Bananas and with unrealistic Stats, who knows what's going on Online anymore? The push for everyone to use AI is something I do not like at all, I don't want to utilize AI and don't Trust it, I think it will have more Negatives than Positives and I don't feel a Need for it personally. Those that like and use it, that's a personal choice, but I don't think anyone not wanting to use it should be forced to in the Future, that's all. I'm content being a Tech Dinosaur, it's served me well not to rely on a lot of that kind of stuff for almost 70 Years, so I'm Good choosing not to use some of it. *LOL*
.JPG)
I don't know yet which Christmas Tree I'm going to put up, a part of me wants to use the White one this Year, but, not sure where we put that one in Seasonal Storage? I do know one easier to find and access so I may just take the lazy route and use that one instead? Princess T is also agonizing about which she's gonna put up since Space is an Issue in her Room this Year. She's added a lot of stuff, especially Furniture, since last Christmas. Eli the Cat never bothers her Tree so she never has to worry about him. He's a little Anxious when it first goes up coz it's a big change to his World, but then he settles down when he gets used to it being up again and leaves it completely alone.
.JPG)
I like how The Grandson Creating that Saguaro Mannequin Woman is coming along, it's looking really good and just the way I wanted it to. He's a very Skilled Artist in almost any Artistic expression he's put his Hand to, be it Music, Painting, Sculpting, Drawing, Repurposing items, Creating Art out of damned near anything and everything. He's got a very Unique perspective to his Work and people really like it, it's different. He said someone whose doing Downtown Murals in the City has contacted him about getting involved in the Creation of more of the Art Murals they're doing all over Central Phoenix. I think that would be good exposure for Displaying and Showcasing his Work where many people will see it. He doesn't really Care if it's Paid Work or Volunteer Community Improvement Work. But if it's Paid Work that's better of coarse. *Winks*
.JPG)
Tho' it would be Awesome to see a Mural Painted by my Grandson in the Arts District of Phoenix on Public Display. There's already some fabulous Murals Downtown and I've Photographed many of them and even included them in previous Blog Posts. I don't Save many Archived Posts to make room for new ones, mebbe I'll Share some of the Pixs of various favorite Downtown Murals again in Future Posts. We did look at Historic Homes in the Art District of Downtown Phoenix, but so few of the Homes were large enough and I didn't wanna Downsize THAT much yet. If ever. I still have a lot of Cargo to consider. Buying a Main House half the size of the last one we Sold was a big enuf transition to Smaller Living right now. And then we ended up with Three Generations living here again! *Smiles*
.JPG)
Long time Readers may remember that wasn't anticipated when we were Buying our Forever Home coz we were down to just having Princess T to finish Raising at that time. So, I'm rather glad now we didn't Downsize too much more than we did or there wouldn't have been Placement for everyone who came back Home to live again. As it is, by 2026 we'll be up to Six of us again that are immediate Family. We've had as many as Nine in the Past, but, if you don't count "Spares" who aren't Family, that seem to be here more than they seem to be at their own Homes, it's just Six now. But, at some point The Man and I did imagine it would one day just be the Two of us, and Honestly, I don't mind that it isn't. His Health has deteriorated so much that I appreciate the Present Help of the Younger Two Generations being here.
.JPG)
The Grandson did say he intends to move back here too, this was a Trial to see if he wanted to come back and that it would be the Right thing to do? He feels strongly now that it is and I tend to agree, but didn't want to give any Unsolicited Advice, he's Grown and it has to be his decision, since, it's a big one. I think Allen is slowly coming to terms that their Marriage is irreconcilable too, too much isn't changing that needed to, for them to remain together. Perhaps both would be happier Single again than miserable being Married? I have no doubt my Grandson still Loves Allen, but is realizing you can Love someone you just can't live with, and sustain a Relationship with that isn't healthy for either one of you. It's a tough decision to make and one they aren't making lightly, which is good. At least the Supreme Court did the Right thing this time and didn't Rule against Gay Marriage.
.JPG)
With the stacked and corrupted Members of the Supreme Court installed mostly by this Regime, I wasn't quite sure they would Rule against it like they had Ruled against Abortion Rights and overturned Roe-v-Wade. It's bad enuf Women's Rights and the Rights of Minorities and Immigrants are being wrecked, without the Gay Community losing their hard fought for and Won Rights too. I don't think Women, Minorities and Immigrants are just gonna roll over and not put up a Fight still. But, we've sure lost a LOT of ground since Donnie Two Dolls and his Cabal of Vulgarians have been Voted In for 2.0 of this disastrous Administration's wreckage of Human Rights and shameless looting of our Country's resources. Their Marie Antoinette Moment is on the Horizon tho'.
.JPG)
Still no Unpublished Posts ahead now, this one will Publish in the Morning if I manage to even finish it? *Smiles* All the Bills and Mortgage Payment finally made it to their Destinations, but it took close to Two Weeks, which, is ridiculous! So, at least no Late Charges were incurred due to slow Mail delivery. I know many now have Auto Pay but as a Retired Bank Executive I don't Trust Auto Pay for a few reasons I won't go into here and try to sway anyone one way or another about using it. If it works for you and you haven't had any Negatives to it, I'm glad for you. But, I know Legally it works in the Bank's Favor if they fuck up and charge you more or charge you double, coz you consented to them accessing your Account, and that's all I'm gonna say about that. I'm not your Attorney, so you go on and do whatever you Feel is Right. *Bwahahaha and Winks* There's always a reason why I don't do some things with Lenders and binding Contractual Agreements.
.JPG)
I did Audit and Quality Control in both of my Corporate Lives as part of my Careers responsibilities, with Banking and at the DA's Office. So I know what's Legally Binding and it hardly ever is skewed in Favor of the Borrowers or Defendants. So, before you Agree to anything and give Consent, make damned sure about what you're Agreeing to Contractually that will Bind you to it Legally. And it's Okay to have someone smarter than you look over everything, even the best and most successful folk surround themselves with people smarter than they are, that's True Wisdom. Only Fools and Dictators wanna surround themselves with Sycophants and folks who'll just tell them what they wanna hear and what not they Need to hear. You don't wanna be in that Echo Chamber or things will not shake out well for you and you'll have the delusion you can do anything.

I have to go to "Discount Tire" Today coz that Sensor finally went off on that Tire that picked up that Screw. The Dealership had told me it couldn't just be repaired and would likely have to be replaced, I may still have Road Hazard Warranty on it from where I Bought it, so that's why I'll have them look at it now. The Head of the Screw finally wore off and the Sensor and Tire Pressure weren't affected before now, I had just seen the Head of that big ole' Screw and mentioned it when I went to my Dealership to get that other Warranty stuff done on the Repairs recently. But, they'd of had to charge me about $375 for a New Truck Tire right now and I don't have it at the moment to outlay. Had I gotten my usual Checks every Two Weeks for the past Month and a Half from the Antique Mall I could have easily financed it with Sales Profits out of a single Check. Even on a Bad Payday of the Past I'd clear that much in a couple Weeks of Downsizing stuff.
.JPG)
A good Weekend Yard Sale can clear you that much usually, but lately, even the Yard Sale Crowd aren't spending like they used to. The Daughter will set up on a Weekend and Sell what isn't appropriate Merch for me to take in to the Antique Mall and then what doesn't Sell we just load up and Donate to where The Granddaughter Works. They'll have the Demographic that could use it, coz it's usually good stuff we just don't want or Need anymore, or doesn't fit anymore. We do rotate Wardrobe fairly often even if it still fits, coz we Chazza Shop for most of it anyway, preferring it to what Retail Shops are offering in Style... most Stores are offering such Copy & Paste uninspired Wardrobe and Accessories... Yawn... Boring and so Pedestrian, plus overdone.
.JPG)
We often get stopped and asked where we got our Wardrobe when we go out anywhere and we can tell them we Sell that Genre of Fashion in our own Showroom at the Antique Mall. I recently found out that some of the Young People who are very Stylish who are Princess T's Co-Workers have shopped in our Showroom and didn't know it was our Space!!! So, I told them to just say they know Princess T and I up front and get a 15% Discount. I always give the Hood Hook Up to people we know and my Industry Friends who Buy from us a lot. *Smiles* The Industry Friends reciprocate by giving me that First Cousin Deal too when I Buy from them. *Winks* I almost never pay full price for anything, I got lotsa Hood Hookups of my own going on. *Bwahahahahaha* A lot of the Kiddos who Work with my Granddaughter are as Fashion conscious, cutting edge, and Stylish like she is, so they look Adorable and have their own sense of Style and Swagger going on. I like when people Dare to be different.

And speaking of different, how about these Christmas Crackers for your Fur Babies, Cats or Dogs? I thought it was the cutest idea, we always get Christmas Crackers to put on our Tree coz it was a European Tradition that my Mom grew up with in Wales, so we grew up doing it too. It's catching on here in America now too so they're easier to Source but this is the first time I'd seen any for your Pets. I'm sure the little Prizes inside are Toys and Treats specifically for them so I might Buy some for Eli this Christmas. He likes his Toys and Treats. Even the Wrapping Paper of the Crackers is Species appropriate, so Cute.
So, The Young Prince has been Stacking Rocks Artfully that haven't yet been used for the Mosaic Art Project out front of our Wall or around the Pool area. So, when The Man and The Daughter went out to feed the Wild Birds at their Feeding Station this Morning by The Young Prince's Exterior Door they saw this Phallic Stack... which, now we're calling Penis Rock. *Bwahahahaha* And The Daughter said, grab your Camera Mom, you gotta Share this! So, Maddie, this one's for you my Friend. *Winks* And knowing my Grandson's Wicked sense of Humor, I'm likely to have Phallic Symbolism all over the Property now and him waiting to see if we notice and say something? *LMAOROTF*
This Nativity Blow Up is at SAVERS now, they get a lot of Holiday Inflatables for various Holidays and always Sell them quickly. I got a Jack Skeleton in a Coffin from "Nightmare Before Christmas" when I was picking up Princess T from Work the other day. {See Below} It'll be an adorable Christmas and Halloween Prop, but I won't take mine out of it's packaging. The Young Prince and his Mom wanted it, but, I said they'll have to wait to Inherit it. *LOL* It's flattering that they always like what I like and becoz I know they'll all enjoy Inheriting it all one day and probably keep some of it for themselves. Usually if they really dig something I just give it to them right now, so they don't have to wait 'til I'm Dead, why not? *Smiles*
I should already be getting Dressed and going down to "Discount Tire" to get that Tire replaced, but I'm procrastinating like Crazy this Morning. I can visit the Antique Mall which is walking distance in the same Parking Lot, but, they don't Open until 9:00 a.m. and I don't wanna hang around the Tire place. I'd rather bide Time at our Antique Mall and work my Spaces there to be productive. I may bring in some Inventory and Price it while there and waiting for my Tire situation to be resolved. LATER: Got the Tire repaired at no cost and some new Windshield Wiper Blades since they were over Two Years Old and streaking, we're supposed to get some bad Storms by Tomorrow. Put some Fiesta Ware Mugs in Inventory that are various Colors, we don't use our Fiesta Ware like we used to so I've been Selling it off.
.JPG)
Some Vendors are practically giving their Fiesta Ware away, Selling it cheaper than you'd find it at a Chazza or Yard Sale, so they're undercutting everyone else. They are the Vendors that never last coz they are lousy at figuring out their Margins, doing their Math, and end up being upside down financially becoz they don't treat what they're doing seriously enough to make it profitable. If you're paying premium Rents you can't operate foolishly or stupidly for long. I still have good Sales on mine coz I have many of the Rarer or Retired Colors of it. I've kept my Chartreuse coz the Kiddos Love that color of it. I also had some Tiki Tumblers to put into Inventory, those Sell well too, anything Vintage Tiki is still desired. I'm trying to only concentrate on popular Merch that is still Trending of Vintage items. We spent a couple Hours there and then I took The Man out to Lunch after we went to the Recycle Center and dropped off our Aluminum Cans again.

The Son had bought most of the ingredients for me to make Chili again... Hint Strong Hint... LOL. So, I've got that Cooking in the Crockpot for Dinner now. The Daughter always likes Corn in her Chili so I put some Fiesta Corn in this batch. Its good comfort food that the Kiddos munch on all day. And I brought Home some Chips & Salsa from "Zamora's" Mexican Restaurant, my Family LOVE that. It was a good day, I'm glad I didn't have to buy a new Tire and they said my Treads are still good on all Four and shouldn't need to be replaced anytime soon coz I have a lot of Tread left. I'm glad coz Tires for my Truck are expensive. And we've already had to replace some due to Road Hazard Damage left by Construction Workers. That pisses me off, they shouldn't be so Careless with their Construction Debris, it costs Motorists a lot of Money due to their negligence.
.JPG)
I was visiting with some Vendor Friends while at the Antique Mall, nobody is doing well there right now, so, I don't feel like The Lone Ranger having poor Sales, during a time they should normally be Strong. Some Vendors said their Shift Hours have been cut, which is Weird coz the Mall is constantly calling me to fill in for MIA Vendors and if some of the Permanent Shift People are getting their Hours Cut, why don't they call them to fill in if they need or want more Hours? My Friend Deb is a very good Worker, I like Working with her and she said they cut her Hours and she wouldn't mind picking up fill-in Shifts to make up for it. I told her to talk to Management about it coz they call me too often and I have to turn down fill-in Shifts offered about half the time. I can understand them not calling the Slackers, but the good Workers should get consideration IMO. I appreciate that Management thinks of me first for Shifts, but, I can't always accept due to Caregiving.

There was one of the Neighbors on a Frontage Road here in the Mini Farms Community that always did Extreme Christmas Decorating. He has a very big beautiful House and it would take him over a Month to do all the Lights, Inflatables and Blow Molds he has, but, it would look Magnificent. Then, about Two Years ago he just quit, not even a single Decoration or a single Light, and we wondered what had happened to him to cause such a big change suddenly? We didn't know if he'd become ill or Died, he was an older guy. Well, this Year, suddenly, it's Extreme Christmas Decorating resumed! I don't know if it's still him doing it or perhaps a Relative doing it in Remembrance of him? But, it's nice to see it again, we'd all missed it and noticed.
.JPG)
We usually don't Decorate the Exterior for Christmas, but this year I may put out one of my 1960's Blow Mold Nativity Sets since we did find a way to illuminate out Front and run some extension cords. Only a few other Years I've put one of the Vintage Blow Mold Nativity Sets as Exterior Decor. I have Three of them. Two of them have a complete Nativity and the 3rd One is just Baby Jesus, Joseph and Mary. Each is completely different and one has lots of the Animals of the Nativity. I didn't get every Set complete, but over Years kept adding to it coz I knew what the complete Set looked like. So, if a Chazza had even a single piece, I'd Buy it and keep building upon the completion of the Set. Below are what a couple of mine are just like, Cribbed Images from the Interweb, they can fetch a lot of Money if complete.
.webp)

One of my Sets I can't find any like it Online, so it must be a Rarer Set and likely worth more? As you can see, even in similar Sets the Baby Jesus can look quite different. Some just have the Baby, some are the Baby & Manger as One Piece. I have both, just the Baby... and, Two with the Baby & Manger as a single Piece. The Animals can be quite different as well... and harder to Source... some Animals, like the Camel, are really Rare to find and can fetch anywhere from $100-$249 just for that Piece. Some Sets have Mary holding the Baby Jesus as a single Piece. I've Sold a lot of Holiday Blow Molds for just about every Holiday they make them for, they always Sell well.
.JPG)
I intended to Sell the Three I kept, but then realized how difficult to replace them is, and expensive. So, I've held onto them just becoz any time I do any minor Christmas Exterior Decorating, it's just a Blow Mold Nativity or Vintage Blow Mold Vintage Santa Heads and Angels. A few Years ago I got some Christmas Dr. Seuss Grinch Classic Vintage Blow Molds of Max and Cindy Lou Who. I'm not a Fan of the Inflatables just becoz they can be punctured and ruined too easily if not Stored in Climate Controlled Space. So I like the Blow Molds better.

I have Two Santa Faces and the Angel... Above Pixs are not my pieces but are like mine. I've often had people try to Buy them off me, but I haven't had the inclination to Sell them. My OCD kicked in and I was determined to find some Old Pixs of some of my Blow Molds used in previous Christmases Past, so Below is what I came up with, back at the Villa McManse. That was the Year the Devil of an HOA sent out a Nine Page Letter telling us what Christmas Decors we were allegedly "Forbidden" to use. Well, you know me, even tho' normally I never Decorate the Exterior, that Year I put several of my Vintage illuminated Blow Molds out there and put a Strobe Light under the Baby Jesus. *Winks and LOL* I literally Dared the HOA to Violate me... and, well... they didn't take me up on it and said nothing. *Winks* I'd threatened to Sue them earlier that Year and I guess they didn't wanna risk to step in my Waters about expressing my Holy Day any way I wanted to? *LOL*
I have kind of been binge watching some NetFlix Series and Comedy Specials for the past couple Days. Usually I don't watch a lot of TV, but, with Caregiving and with The Man's Blood Pressure being high lately, we've had to take it easy and not do too much to put him at risk. Caregiving can be lonesome Socially coz you disconnect a lot from having any kind of Social Life or cultivating other relationships outside of immediate Family you're Caring for. The Young Prince was telling me Today how Sacrificial that is and how he notices and appreciates it coz he's never had to be particularly Sacrificial. He's Young, so he mostly does what he wants to do, which is how you do when you're Young. Very few Youngsters have experienced having to be Sacrificial yet. Even some Older folks haven't had to be if they only have to look out for their own selves exclusively. I don't mind making Sacrifices for Loved Ones, they're worth it. The Social Isolation sometimes is hard tho'.
.JPG)
And as you get Older your Social Circle dwindles coz folks move away or Pass Away over Time. I know a lot of people but I have a much smaller Inner Circle now than before when I was Younger and folks were still Local or still Alive, that aren't now. A lot of the Kiddos Friends of both Generations do stop by tho' and I appreciate that interaction, even tho' they're the Friends of my Adult Kids or Adult Grandkids, they're good People and I enjoy their Company. Blogging is semi-social in that it connects you to a wider Community than Real Life often affords a lot of us who can't or don't get out that much to Socialize. I've enjoyed that interaction over the Years that I've been Blogging and appreciate it too.
.JPG)
You do learn to enjoy and have a Peace about how much Alone Time you have to spend tho'. My Blogging is some of my Alone Time where I'm not having to concentrate on Caregiving or running a Household of Three Generations Sharing Space. It is sometimes like being the Ringmaster of a Three Ring Circus, for reals. *LOL* But, this is my Circus and these are my Monkeys... and sometimes it is the Greatest Show On Earth. *Winks*

Blessings, Love and Light from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
Enjoyed the gallery of blow molds. I was never really a fan but over the years they have grown on me. We don't have any, but I enjoy looking at others.
ReplyDeleteI know I am a conspiracy theorist but I really think all the financial delays are on purpose to further put the screws in the economy to keep us in line. Delayed deposits, late fees. My charity still mails checks to landlords and utility companies. The utilities get it and let us pledge to avoid late charges. We can mail a check in the same town and it can take over 2 weeks to reach a landlord. Sometimes longer. We had to start a folder for missing in action checks.
The other wrinkle is on line bill paying. Younger clients who opt in show us their "bill" on their phone. For example an electric bill. The message will have their name, their account number and the amount due. And a button to click to pay it online. If I could see the bill I could see if there is a past due amount, are they on a budget payment? how much is their budget balance? are they on a payment plan for a past bill? has there been a sudden jump in useage? We can't seem to bring them up online either. I hate it.
I'm very skeptical about the methods being used intentionally to control Citizens and make us dependent. Where ever you place your dependency ultimately controls you. The lengthy delays in Mail are also suspect, I can get Mail to Relatives in Europe quicker than across Town, so, what's really going on? I'm not usually a Conspiracy Theorist but many things I Question becoz I don't think what we're being told about a lot of things and there's so much being done now that isn't legal or ethical. Now they don't even pretend it has to be... all the quiet parts are being said out loud these days with no shame and no apology.
DeleteI've been getting offers to download and use AI tools. I delete all of them.
ReplyDeleteI also delete them, I don't want coercion to use it and I feel it's being force fed as something we'll all HAVE to eventually use. I don't Trust it and think the Negatives have concerns that trouble me too much to get involved with any of it.
DeleteI'm not using AI. I'm pretty sure Amazon is now using AI for customer service chats now though. That's how it seemed last time I had a problem and had to contact them. Hope hubby is better.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Businesses would rather use Bots than having to pay an Employee, but the Bots aren't very helpful IMO when I've had to interact with one regarding a Customer Service Problem. If you drop an F-Bomb the Bot will immediately transfer you to a Human, it's hilarious, so I say Fuck almost right away if I feel I'm not gonna get a Human to interact with, I don't want to talk to a Bot at all and waste my patience or my time.
DeleteI will remember this!
DeleteYou can Thank me later Kathy that a strategically dropped F-Bomb will get you transferred to a Human and bypass the Bots. *winks*
DeleteI have been really getting a bit lax with blogging. With being away in the Poconos, the promotion of overseeing two showrooms now, and work very busy, and I'm still getting over Buster's passing. I took that hard. On top of that I now get the high blood pressure thing. I had my annual checkup, and they did several readings last time and again today and it was high, but not scary. The Doc recommended a low dosage of blood pressure meds. I know it has to be all new related stress of this country. The doc is mostly worried for my blood pressure because of an upcoming oral surgery I'll be having and will be under anesthesia for some time. I sure hope I don't pull a Joan Rivers on the table.
ReplyDeleteI also went to a newer antique market today. And I use the term "antique" with a grain of salt. It looked like nothing more than people selling junk. And no effort made in a nice presentation. Needless to say, I won't be going back there.
So sorry to hear of Medical Issues, the trip to the Poconos was just what you needed then to de-stress yourself my Dear, high BP is nothing to mess with, can cause Stroke or Heart Attack! The Man is Dealing with high BP too and I agree with you that the messiness of this Country is probably instrumental in a lot of stress Americans are feeling right now. Sounds like your Career is very busy too and that can cause even good stress {Yes, it's a Thing}, so take Care to ensure a balance of Business with Pleasure... all Work will make for a dull existence otherwise, even if you're Loving what you do. My Corporate Lives caused me a lot of stress, I got out of Banking due to the high stress levels coz all the Money in the World they threw at me wasn't worth compromising my Health and Well Being. As for the "Antique" Malls that don't have a damned Antique in them and are Junk Hawkers, that's what ours has come to now and so many others as well. That said, Antiques have been deaded for a long time and so demand for them is poor, the Purists just can't sustain business only Selling them and even our best Vendors have had to compromise some to stay afloat. Being an Old Gypsy Woman, as my Son calls me, I'll Sell the people whatever they're Buying. *Winks* I can't account for their lack of Culture or Taste. And Phoenix, overall, has always been Culturally Deprived... compared to most Big Cities. *Bwahahahaha and Le Sigh*
DeleteOld gypsy woman! I loved that! Many friends say they were surprised I wasn't already on BP meds, by this age.
DeleteYou're still a Youngster Mads, so get that BP down Darling, you got too much Life in you to stroke out!!!
DeleteChristmas decorations already?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wasn't gonna, but we Need the Magical Atmosphere to be Uplifted during these dire times my Friend, it Helps.
DeleteWonderful Christmas, i'll be honest yours is one of the few I'm looking at,mostly because its not decorating homes so early but designers,,,cute stuff!
ReplyDeleteThe Designer Stuff is off the Chain this Holiday Season, such Creativity and I do Hope all of the Artisans are able to Sell as much as possible coz I think this is gonna be a very precarious Holiday Season Economically. That particular Vendor who makes all the Adorable Art Dolls seems to do very well in spite of their Art costing a fair amount becoz it's all handmade and OOAK.
