Can I Get A Whoop-Whoop?!

Sunday Morning I could Sleep in, but didn't and actually couldn't.  So I got up early, it was overcast again Outside, Humid but much Cooler temps, so I worked in The RV Garage Mahal, Back Patio and She Shed sorting out Inventory, Keeper items, Donations.  I think I must have sorted some of it out before, since some Crates had either Inventory in them, Keeper items in them, no Donations I could come across, and few that were mixed up of both.  So, I put a lot more Inventory in the She Shed, which really is clearing out a nice Space in The RV Garage Mahal and making both areas more functional.  The Humidity made it like a tolerable Sauna, like at The Gym.  So, afterwards I jumped in the Pool to Cool off and Relax.  It was a Perfect way to spend the Morning.

I'm actually thinking of making it a Daily Habit, since, before 10:00 a.m. I'd gotten several Hours of important Work done already and felt invigorated.   Physically it was like a good exercise routine and even Mentally/Emotionally, it was beneficial in a very Positive way.  I only got interrupted a couple times, once by The Son and once by Princess T, just checking in to make sure I was alright and not overdoing it or passed out.  *Bwahahah*  Hey, on the News, Globally Deaths are soaring due to the Heat and the very Young and Elderly are most vulnerable.  Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke can catch up to you if you don't realize you're dehydrating and your Body is in Crisis.  The amount of Water you should be drinking is a LOT, and most folks just don't drink nearly enuf to hydrate properly.

We've even had some out of State Tourists visiting Arizona drop Dead coz they were doing foolish things like Hiking in June... with all the Wrong Gear and a single Bottled Water, just WTF!?!   Mean to say, but, Natural Selection at work.  You can't Fix Stupid, and it's not as if they don't know what the Temperature is, Feel it, and Warnings aren't Posted in every Park and Trail with even fucking Pictures, so, just WTF is Wrong with some People?!   A Young Mother in her early Thirties dropped Dead visiting Arizona this Week, she was on a Hiking Trail the day it was 118, with only a single Bottle of Water for herself and inappropriate Hiking Gear!!!  She even had her damned Kids with her, Luckily her Stupidity didn't cost the Children their Lives, but they will clearly be forever Traumatized and she put them at grave risk and made them Motherless now.  Not a Vacay to Remember for sure!

We've done things on Hot Days, but after you've lived in a Climate and Area a long time you know what you shouldn't do, where you shouldn't go, either in the Urban Landscape or the Natural one.  If you aren't a Local, get Information so you'll be properly Informed and realize what risks and Dangers are out there and what is suggested that you avoid to make your stay only have good Memories and no Tragedies.   Most Visitors aren't familiar with the Desert and it's Environment, Risks, Dangerous Animals, Reptiles and Insects.  I guess they think they're Okay until they're just not... but, often I just shake my Head at how Foolish some are, and so it's not even Surprising they become Victims and grim Statistics.   It reminds me of when you hear of Tourists getting Mauled coz they approached Dangerous Wild Animals as if they're Domesticated Pets who'd be comfortable with Human contact.

Anyway, I quit when it was starting to Warm Up and the Cloud Cover was dissipating.  I put a Forgotten Sage Votivo Candle in the She Shed, it's my favorite Candle Brand and Scent.  In a Non-Climate Controlled Space it will melt and spread Aroma as if it's lit, but not have the Wax evaporate as quickly.  So, I do it all the time in my RV Garage Mahal and will Love my She Shed to have the Scent of Forgotten Sage permeated into the Space.  Right now it smells good, like Fresh Lumber, I Love that Smell too.   I have to Work Tonight, they tried to get me to come in and cover for someone Saturday Night but I had Guests here having Dinner with us, so, declined.

It must have been another No-Show since they were trying to fill the Shift at the 11th Hour.  I don't like filling in for any Co-Worker who always does that, it's inconsiderate and unreliable.  IMO they should replace them with someone reliable and who takes the commitment Seriously and dump them from the Shift.  If you can't be Professional at a Job, don't take the Job.   It lets everyone down when you just indiscriminately don't show up, don't have the consideration to call in, or only come in when you feel like it.  Too many of them want comped Rent but don't really wanna hafta Work for it even when they ARE there, but the No-Shows cause a lot of adequate coverage problems.  But, it's not my Ship, so Management will either Sail it or Sink it.

LATER: Work was crazy, a Co-Worker didn't show up or call out and they couldn't get anyone to fill in for them, so, we were One short and it was busier than Hell.  The Kids behind the Registers are supposed to assist us with the Greeter Desk when it gets too busy, well, they were all on their Phones until Crazy Ed... Lost It and went Crazy!  *LOL*  He's on Meds for his Bipolar Condition so I've only ever seen him Lose It once before in all the Years I've known him.  But, this was warranted, we were running around like scalded Cats and here's the Paid Staff, including the Night Manageress, on their Phones ignoring that everything is going to Last Call on the Locked Cases!   Well, that is, until Crazy Ed Lost It and went a bit Postal.  *Bwahahaha*

They were ignoring Crazy Ed's previous requests for assistance and coverage, so, he had a big Metal Sign in his Hand and slammed it on the Counter to really get their Attention!   Worked.  *LMAOROTF*   Anyway, I was so glad when the Shift was over, but, we had this Customer who'd been difficult at the Locked Cases.  She was looking at expensive Silver Jewelry, Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces... took HOURS choosing about 20+ Pieces for us to bring up to the Front for her.  Well, she waits until PAST Closing to mosey up to the Registers and then starts trying them all on again and pondering which, if any, she'll actually Buy!?!  THEN she asks the Cashiers if they can Call the various Vendors to ask if they'll take Offers!!!!!!!???   WTF!    They told her they can't call Vendors after 9:00 p.m. becoz we're CLOSED already!

We're Open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Seven Days a Week and 363 Days a Year, 'til 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and the only Day of the whole Year we're Closed is Christmas!   That's plenty of time for any Customer to make their Purchases without lingering past Closing and dicking around like that.  I left, I didn't stick around to put all that Jewelry back into various Locked Cases that she clearly wasn't gonna Buy, I was dead Tired with having to do my Work and the Work of someone not there who they couldn't get any coverage for.   Plus, I had to stop by the Grocer to get our Perishable Groceries before they Closed.

When I got Home we Binge Watched more of "The Connor's" Sitcom and now we're convinced they've spied on our Family and Stolen our Real Life Story for their Faux Life Sitcom Episodes!!!   *Bwahahaha*  Along with the previous parallels I mentioned before, now they've gotten Becky preggy by an Illegal Alien from Mexico who gets Deported when the Baby Girl is Born.   Well, that's exactly what happened to The Daughter and Princess T's Dad, he got Deported back to Mexico right after she was Born!!!   AND, then everyone moves back in with the Parent/Grandparent, so Dan has Three Generations now living in his Household!!!   BAM, just exactly like US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  *LMAOROTF*  There couldn't be more parallels of our Life in Sitcom Form than this one, I swear to God!   Whoever their Writers are must KNOW us?!   *LOL*

Princess T almost ruined her Makeup this Morning when I was telling her about the latest Episodes, she Laughed so hard she Cried.  We mused, do they perhaps read my Blog?  And say, you can't make this shit up, let's use it, it's fucking hilarious!  *LMAOROTF*   Okay, so, since the Sitcom is now Mirroring our Real Life Family in the most Surreal way imaginable, perhaps we find it even more hilarious than other viewers, I dunno?   I mean, what ARE the Odds of so many parallels, Right?! *Winks*   Today will be her last Day of Summer School, she recaptured all her Credits and will probably even need to be picked up early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Hallelujah and can I get a Whoop Whoop!?

Because I'm Insane, I agreed to Work Tuesday and Friday as well as my regular Sunday Shift this Week to fill in for Co-Workers either on Vacation or having Health Issues.   What can I say, I'm a Sucker when it comes to the Hardship Folks that I know, I want to do something on their behalf, however minor it might be.   The Vacay Crowd, not so much, I'm Green with Envy... can't even recall the last time we got to go on Vacation, even Locally, let alone be a Global Traveler crossing off the Old Bucket List Locales.   Dammit.   Bora-Bora is looking ever more elusive, I ain't gonna Lie.  *Le Sigh*   Ah well, Living the Dream here at Forever Boheme' shall have to be Enough.  Oh, and seeing our Real Lives played out on a Remake of a Classic TV Sitcom.  Of coarse, in it they Killed Roseanne Off, so we don't want the Bad Juju of that Parallel!!!   *Bwahahahaha*

I tried to Work in The RV Garage Mahal and She Shed early again this Morning like I had successfully done for Hours Yesterday.   Not Overcast and sufficiently Cloudy, just Humid, didn't Work Out, I faded in an Hour and had to Tap Out.  I waded thru enough Crates and Boxes to be respectable, but, didn't get anything transferred over to the She Shed, since, I only had 3/4 of a Crate that would be Inventory from this Sort.  Most of what laid in Today's Stored/Unpacked Crates and Banana Boxes were Keeper Items with no Placement in there yet.   That's not a Bad Thing, it was nice for it to finally see the Light of Day again after being packed up so long unseen and literally Forgotten.   And there were some items to Waffle on, indecisive on whether to Let Go or Keep?  I leaned towards Keep on about half.  Which, is progress when I'm Waffling.

Here's the usual Deciding Factor when I find myself Waffling:  Do I need the Money off the Sale of it Right Now or not?   If the answer isn't Yes, I hold onto it for now and revisit the Question again later.  Better than having Seller's Remorse.   I never have Buyer's Remorse, but I have had Seller's Remorse to Let Go of something prematurely to Cash Out on it, unless, there's a good reason, then I can Live with the decision made.  I may still miss it, but, I won't regret having made something a priority that just needed to be made Sacrificially.   And, I've said it before, with most things, even if they're Not For Sale, they usually Can Be Bought.   You just gotta Want and Love it more than I do and Show Me The Money so we make that Exchange.  *Winks*

If it's Primo, you will probably have to Stand Tall tho', I don't let my Primo Merch go at a Picker's Price very often.  It would have to be something significant, like The Big Move being Funded, to make it even necessary.   And usually even then, you did a Bundle Deal and dropped a lot of Cash on me to Negotiate it.   It can be Done tho', but everyone who Knows me knows you better have something the size of a Moving Van or Flatbed Truck to relieve me of a lot all at once and relieve your Wallet of a lot as well.   You'll leave lighter of Wallet but heavy on a Primo Pick, and it's all a Win-Win for Yours Truly, so, I can Live with the massive Letting Go when I got some Fat Stacks to show for it and can now Fund what my Mission and Goal was at the time.   I'm very Goal Oriented, in case you didn't notice?  *LOL and Winks*

Anyway, when I can't Work in the Non-Climate Controlled Spaces due to the Temps/Weather, I usually just move it inside now to the Art Studio Space where it is Climate Controlled and Comfortable.  Can't do that Today, The Daughter is Home Sick from Work and that's her 'Room' to Sleep in and have Privacy.    So, instead I Blog.  *Smiles*   I do have a Tower of Crates in there I could be Working on otherwise.  Merch that is Inventory and could relocate to the She Shed until we want to rotate it in to the Showroom eventually, when there's room to.   And thus, clear out more Space in the Art Studio and remove anything that isn't supposed to be in there.   Well, besides The Daughter and all her Worldly Possessions, that is.   *Bwahahahahaha*

Okay, so another "Connor's" Parallel, when another Adult Kid needed to move back in, Dan had to make his Basement into Becky's Room.   So, my Art Studio and Dan Connor's Basement, are basically also purposed one in the same.   And Princess T also didn't miss the added Bonus Parallel that Becky moved in after having the New Grandbaby also needing to be Housed when Baby's Daddy got Deported.   Well, our difference is that The Grandbaby moved in first, after Baby's Daddy got Deported, and for the past 18 Years, and her Mom last.  So, I'm way ahead of the Curve than Dan Conner on helping to Raise Grandkids.  And he's got Three he's Housing in his Household in the Sitcom, since Darlene and her Two Kiddos are living there too.  I've had as many as Three, and for much longer, and also Two Adult Kiddos here too.  I Win.  Or Lose.  Depending on your Perspective?  *Bwahahahaha*

The Visuals of Today's Blog Post have begun with a Patriotic Bent since the 4th of July is just around the Corner now.   And Honestly, since Democracy is mos def at stake for this November's Election, that's important to consider what America might be "Becoming"?  You know, other than a Great Democracy that Celebrates Freedom and Honors The Rule Of Law and Vote of it's Citizens during Elections?  Rather than just being Performative with replacing it with a fake Election like Dictatorships pretend to do giving an Illusion of the Voice of their People.   Since one side here now has Mutated into Cult Worship and Extremist views, who would prefer a Theocratic Shift with a Dictator installed.

But in the form of a Godless Man who only thinks he should be Worshipped as a Deity and be America's Supreme Being.  Forced upon the Majority by a Corrupted Minority that will literally do anything to get what they want, be Oppressively and Revengefully in Power, and hold onto it Forever and Ever.   With the Backing of other Power Hungry Megalomaniacs, most with Obscenely Enriched Financial Means, and just about any Enemy Abroad that America has ever had.  When I hear Apathy about even Voting, becoz so many would rather Roll Over and Pretend it doesn't matter if they Vote or not this time, it bothers me they give up their Freedom so weakly, give in and give out so easily, rather than try to defend Democracy, that many before them fought for and even Died to provide for us.  Freedom hasn't been Free, many Paid a High Price for it so we could have it.

Or they rightfully feel disappointed it's Two extremely Geriatric Old White Men as a Choice, it bothers me too, but, it's the Choice we have and so, here we now are.   But, I look at it as a Fight between Good and Evil, Democracy or Authoritarianism.   And, if Biden drops Dead or steps down due to Age related reasons, well, we'll have the First Woman Prez installed, yay.  I personally feel it's the only way a Woman or another Person of Color would ever be President in my Lifetime.  One who is a very Strong, Intelligent, Successful and Democracy Loving Patriotic Person, who is also a Person of Color.   And I think that's what mostly Scares the Patriarchy and the Racists so much, that they Secretly Fear that more than they Fear having an Unhinged Lunatic Fringe Violence prone Psychopath Sex Offending Conman and numerously Convicted Felon as Prez?    Yeah, that's what I said.  Could be our Last Independence Day and 4th of July if that Fool Fucker gets a 2nd Term... and Destroys the America we Love.

*******

Vote, be Informed... and be Wise about it and not a damned Fool yourself...  coz if America goes to shit, where ya think you're gonna go? Dawn... The Bohemian

  1. I agree about the "can't fix stupid" things that people are doing, seemingly every single day. It gets harder for me to watch the news because they are always reporting on some incredibly stupid action, and then put up a GoFundMe number. Sorry, folks, your choice, not mine. I distinctly remember being over the top compassionate in the past, but living in this current society has really dimmed that for me. In the meantime, YAY for Princess T! That is so cool and so great.

    1. Yes, my compassion has waned for people who do brainless things, run with low information and fall for any Con out there. Perhaps hardship for foolishness is the Lesson they need in order to Wise Up, I dunno? The fact a swath of Americans are so clueless they are willing and supporting someone who wants to be a Dictator and destroy the greatest Democracy in the Free World just is beyond my comprehension. I think each should go live in a Theocracy or Authoritarian Regime for a while and get a revelation as to what they imagine they want. If you speak to anyone who managed to escape those Fresh Hells that have Dictators, they will tell you what it's really like under the oppression and fear. Our Family has been well traveled, we know firsthand how Blessed America is compared to so many other Nations. It has sadly been taken for granted and I will say Capitalism run amok is a big part of what people are against, but, they don't know it and look instead towards blaming scapegoats in the forms of the Poor, Immigrants, the opposing Political Party, people of Color... etcetera. No President of either Party has ever set the price of Gas or Eggs, Supply and Demand, basic Economics 101. When Unemployment goes down, Inflation goes up... sad but predictable way it goes coz when people have more money to buy then Sellers can set whatever price they want to when demand is higher, and lower prices when demand is low. Coming out of a Global Pandemic the likes hadn't been seen in a Century takes time to recover from, we've become this instant gratification Society that seems too spoiled to realize facts like this and finds it handy to make up shit when they can't handle simple Truths.

    2. My Phone comments Anonymously too, LOL. She really worked harder than most Students, her one Teacher, who is from China originally, recognized that and came and told me in front of her how Proud she was that Princess T was so serious about her Studies. Coming from someone in the Asian Community we realized what a compliment that was. The Asian Families take Education far more seriously than many, when my Son was with the DIL, who is Cambodian, the running joke about how well those Grandchildren did in Academics we dubbed "The Asian Factor" becoz they literally excelled in EVERYTHING... but few would understand the amount of Time and Work was involved for attaining that level of excellence for a Kiddo.

  4. Your hiker sounds like a visitor to a nearby amusement park. Huge signs dot the lines to the roller coasters . No Loose Items. No phones, no keys, no bags, no sunglasses. - there is either a locker or a tray for loose items. So, a father there with tween children thinks it doesn't mean him. Surprise, his keys drop out on the coaster. He goes to the ride operators who tell him when the ride closes in two hours they will retrieve his keys. Mr Pouty decides to duck through a gate with a huge No Entry sign, climb a fence that says employees only, past a few DANGER signs and ducks under an oncoming coaster to get his keys. I will spare you the details but it was a horror show for the coaster riders and his children. My heart breaks for them. You can't fix stupid.

    1. Amen to that sad Story outcome, people are mind blowing sometimes for the level of Adult Stupidity displayed. In the current Political mayhem I see how easily fooled so many are and how quickly led astray too, they'll literally believe and fall for anything, unable to think for themselves or do their due diligence. Perhaps part of it is out Educational System that discourages Free Thinking and programming Students to conform, not question, be told what to do and not have a Mind of their own

  5. So what happened after Crazy Ed slammed the metal sign down on the desk. Did he tell them off? Did staff put their phones away and assist? You might look for hidden cameras, as it sure sounds like the writers for that sitcom are spying on you guys.

    1. Oh, when that big Metal Vintage Sign hit the Counter and he said WE NEED HELP... NOW!!!!! They jumped out of their Skins, put the Phone Leashes away and hopped to it, looking like Deer about to be eaten by a Mountain Lion! *LMAOROTF* I was standing right next to Crazy Ed and they all know that I'm NOT on Meds and could be way Crazier than he is... so, they weren't then taking any chances we'd Tag Team their asses. The Humor being, Two Geriatrics going off the Deep End, Ed is almost 80 but very Fit, I'm closing in on 70, they're all in their 20's, but, pretty sure we could Take em... LOL... Winks. And yeah, the Connors ARE actually us and they have to be Stealing our Life Story and putting it in Sitcom Form, I want the Royalties. *bwahahaha*

  6. “……..after you've lived in a Climate and Area a long time you know what you shouldn't do, where you shouldn't go, either in the Urban Landscape or the Natural one.”

We see the same fools here in Maine and neighboring New Hampshire. But as you say, Natural Selection right?

“…. feel disappointed it's Two extremely Geriatric Old White Men as a Choice, it bothers me too, but, it's the Choice we have and so, here we now are.”

Indeed. Here we are. For me, it's a no brainer. A con man without a moral compass or a man with one. Easy choice no matter how old either of them are.

    1. Amen about your closing statement about the Election, give me a Man or Woman with a Moral Compass any day, regardless of their Generation, at least they are doing the Job with integrity and standards that have a higher bar. I do think Americans are dumbing down and too many are so spoiled they are childlike in their impulsivity, intentional ignorance, and pure immature selfishness. Far too many feel entitled and that it's all about them all of the time and really don't care about anyone else as a Collective within an actual Society. Most don't even know Basic Economics 101 so blame all the ills on imagined perceptions that aren't accurate, Scapegoating galore. Too many have made poor or foolish Life Choices and seem to need to blame someone, anyone, so they don't have to look in a Mirror and see reflected back at them what was the catalyst of their outcome. Natural Selection will indeed weed out what can't thrive in any environment around it. We lived in Bangor Maine when I was a Child and my Dad's People once lived in New Hampshire before they were herded onto a Rez in Oklahoma several Generations ago.
