The Expanded Vision... Booth #317

So, I wasn't gonna say anything until I got all moved in, but our Antique Mall is having a Special on Booths for Spring.   So there had been a Booth I'd been wanting to Rent and seriously Jonesin' for since way back in 2012 and it finally became available this Month!  So, with the current Special going on, I went for it and I'm totally Jazzed to finally get it after enormous Patience in waiting and the long perseverance in snagging it!   I won't get to move in until the end of the Month and the only photos I have of it are from way back in 2012 when my Vendor Friend Rhonda used to Rent it, so I'm rehashing those to give you a sneak peek.  I don't want to Photograph it right now since I don't like the merchandising the current Vendor has in there, so I'll wait to take more pixs when she moves out and it's empty.

I liked this particular Booth because of all the Work and expense my Talented Young Friend Rhonda did in Finishing and remodeling it, in a Styling I really dig and would be the first Move In Ready Space I've ever Rented.   All my other Spaces I had to go thru the Work and expense of Finishing and Remodeling myself before moving in.  I didn't want another Project or more expenses, I wanted Move In Ready and something that suited an Aesthetic I can Work with.  Not to mention, I had always held my breath that the steady rotations of Vendors moving in and out of this Space over the years that I'd wanted it, wouldn't have wrecked it by remodeling or repainting it in some hideous way?!  *Gasp... it happens, what can I say!?*   Luckily nobody did and it's still as Rhonda had Tastefully done it and left it.  *Whew!*  Rhonda was on the cutting edge on the now current Trend of Modern Country Style, she was doing it before most people even knew what it was or Reality Show Flippers were making it Trendy.

Alas, being Ahead of her Time there were not as many 'Getting It' at the time, back in early 2012, and so it was a Tough Sell even tho' her make-overs of Furniture and her OOAK Creations and Accessories were Fabulous!    Sadly, in early 2012 such things as Tufted Furniture and Lucite were Trending {Gak!} and the Modern Country or Prairie Style had not yet debuted enough to win over the masses.  I bought this Bunting back in 2012 that Rhonda had Created out of Vintage Tablecloths, I still have it, I still Love it.   When she had to have a major Back surgery, even tho' she was a Young Mom, she decided to give up her Space so she could focus on Health and Family, I still Miss her.  I had persistently tried to Rent it ever since, to no avail, since other Vendors would snap it up before I could and we don't have a Waiting List for particular location Rental, it's just dumb Luck and perfect Timing if you can snag a Choice Space you Desire.

So I watched a steady stream of in and out Vendors come and go from the Space over the past six years.   I had not expected the current Vendor to last long, sometimes you can just tell... and so I can't lie, I was Jazzed when I got the call that she'd given Notice and would be vacating my coveted Booth, which could now FINALLY be Mine all Mine!  *Insert Happy Dance!*   With the amped up Purge going on in the Hoarded Garages I needed some more Space, since my Showroom and much tinier Booth than this one were jam packed.  Sales have been Strong lately now that I'm finally bringing in a bunch of Fresh Merchandise and Working It more than I have been so I needed an expanded Vision for now.  I must Confess I had been negligent of Working my Spaces in recent Months with all the Personal Issues I've been Dealing with.  And if you don't Work It, then don't expect it to Work... just sayin'.   That's the biggest Mistake most Antique Mall Vendors make, neglecting their Spaces to the point where Sales get Soft or Merchandise is Stale and not moving or gets sparse in your long absence from re-stocking it regularly.  Not to mention the Economy and even this Industry and it's ups and downs with things not being what they were even five years ago!

So, by the end of the Month you should be able to visit my Newest Space at THE BRASS ARMADILLO WEST Antique Mall, Booth #317... Photos to follow when it's vacated... and then after I foof it...   Since I happen to be one to have Guarded Optimism about the Future and the Potential to still Enjoy what I Love to do, which is the Thrill Of The Hunt to Discover Found Treasures to Sell, so that you don't have to.  Well, if you don't want to that is... some of you I know are similarly afflicted Hunter-Gatherer Types who simply Live for The Thrill Of The Hunt, but hey, we can still Negotiate your Best Deal if you just happen to be Hunting and Gathering in my Booths and Showroom... just sayin' I can hook a Brother or Sister up my Friends!   *Winks*
